Two of the most common questions we get are 1) How many monster types are there? and 2) Do you use teleportation or artificial locomotion?
Short answer to the first question:
We currently have 6 monster types, 4 of them humanoids, while the other two are spiders.
The monster types have minor procedural differences that greatly impact their health, speed, and damage while also varying in size to the point where some are outright massive. And by massive, we mean that you can literally hear its pounding footsteps as it inches closer. But don’t forget to look down, as there are small spiders that tend to quickly sneak up on you. Meanwhile, there are rare Legendary Spiders about the size of a car that tend to pack quite the punch. Oh, and they fly.
In regards to movement, we plan to have BOTH teleportation and artificial locomotion available as options. This is because while teleportation is the standard way of avoiding motion sickness, we also understand that some people simply prefer the smooth motion. So we're happy to satisfy both groups. This involved many painstaking hours of polishing our navigation mesh, but at least it was made with love.
