Nectarmancer has a unique world, and it needed a unique approach to music to best serve what we're creating. Join us on a quick dive into the instrumentation and music styling for the OST.
Synths
The U.D.O Super-6 is a lush binaural analog synth that has a massive stereo field, it gets used in every single track for both pads, basses and leads.
Other synths used include a very real Prophet 08, and a Digitone II
Drums & Percussion
A Brazilian Serdo drum gets used to help make everything sound more organic. It's a great bass drum with metal sides that can also be played.
Vox
To further organify the sound, we use real vocals on all the tracks. They get pitched up and down and receive a tremendous dose of reverb and are often used as the basis for ambient tracks. We've also used actual children to record children's choirs when possible.
All music is made and performed by humans on real instruments. While computers are used for mixing, the actual sound generation comes from hardware instruments.
We expect the OST to be available for purchase along with the game, but we don't have any concrete announcements to make just yet.
