It introduces new merchant sidequests. In some point of main storyline the new city – Pecuny Harbor – will appear on the map, and your Bosun will provide you with more information.
New, dreadful premium ship called “Executor” is a first junk in the Plague of the Dead. We hope that you’ll like it’s design.
We have also a surprise for our Russian players. Thanks to our friends from UNLOCTEAM (https://unlocteam.com) we are introducing Russian voice-overs. You can switch between Russian and English in Language section in main menu.PS. Update for The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt is in the works, and we’ll shed more light on it next week.

Hex Commander: Fantasy Heroes is a turn-based strategy game that will put you right in the middle of conflict between humans, orcs, goblins, elves and dwarves.
Build a mighty army and lead your troops to victory, using unique skills of your units. Make use of terrain covers and buildings to upgrade your statistics and outwit your enemies.
In the human campaign you assume the role of Percival Kent, a seasoned paladin who has been sent by the Emperor to investigate reports of goblin activity in a human settlement. The kingdom is at the brink of war… Who wants it to break out? What kind of alliance will you have to forge to face the inevitable invasion of the green-skinned foes? Take part in the exciting campaign to get to the bottom of truth and protect your people.
To gain a tactical advantage you must resort to magic, which goes way beyond deploying specialized mage units. As a paladin, Percival is trained to use scrolls, which can turn the tide of battle in the blink of an eye. Summon the undead, lead your opponents into a rain of fire or a toxic cloud, and awaken their rage.
Thanks to the Emperor, you have a base at your disposal. You can expand it according to your preferred fighting style. Upgrade your hero and your favorite units, and improve teleports to gain an edge on the battlefield.

After completing the campaign you’ll also be able to obtain a new ship named Concord and a sail symbol that you can use across all of your fleet. All add-on content is free. We’ve also rebalanced most of the ships to improve dynamics of the sea battles. For those who are just starting the adventure with The Pirate: Plague of the Dead – we are giving more gold at the beginning of the campaign to make the experience more friendly for the new players.

Nautilus is a state of the art submarine that is also very capable on the surface. She's not only for looks, she’s built for ramming. That appearance packs a lethal combination of wooden hull shredding - steel spikes combined with one singular turret styled gun with rotating aim that packs 20x more damage than any cannon could ever deliver. This gun has 2 functions, it works as a battleship type large caliber cannon with rotation and also has rotating mortar function. Both functions feature free manual control as well as auto touch positioning. Be sure to check these features out in first person pov that is situated at the gun.
Captain Nemo like Bellamy, increases your ramming damage by 3x onboard any ship. But that's not even close to all he's capable of. When onboard his Nautilus, he will increase; ramming and cannon fire damage, increases maximum speed and decreases cannon reload time.
Plague of the Dead is a game full of magic and mysticism, and we intend to create an experience with conventional supernatural pirate tales, where the historical characters and events blend with fairy tales and fictional characters.
The next large update is scheduled for November as well, and will contain free singleplayer mini-campaign called “Flintlock of the Damned”. We are also working on an update for The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt at the moment as well. - Developer post

We are continuing to improve The Pirate: Plague of the Dead. With this update we wanted to tweak the sandbox mechanics of the game. As you know, you may conquer the ports you discover during story missions or by exploring the open world. But it’s not permanent - enemy nation usua
Original postWe are continuing to improve The Pirate: Plague of the Dead. With this update we wanted to tweak the sandbox mechanics of the game. As you know, you may conquer the ports you discover during story missions or by exploring the open world. But it’s not permanent - enemy nation usually tries to get it back by sending the military fleets. We don’t want to get rid of this feature, but we’ve changed it a little bit. If you build (or upgrade) the fort to a level 6, the nation who previously ruled the port will now be scared and won’t send a military fleet anymore. What this means is that the port becomes yours - permanently. Of course, upgrading forts will cost you some gold, so we have also added an option to permanently capture ports, even if you don’t upgrade the fort to level 6. To do this you will have to capture and control all ports of the given nation at the same time, which includes defending them. If you do that, all towns ruled by that nation are yours, forever. We suggest to start with small nations like Dutch or Denmark, invest some gold in buildings and production and when your pirate empire starts to grow, then take out the other larger nations.
