Here is a summary of the latest and major improvements to the game:
After adding a gems magnet to the ship hulls, Redbeard has done it again! The ship hulls now include an improved gems container that will allow pilots to retain 50% of the gems earned during a sector visit, even if the ship is destroyed.
You will thus be able to keep half the gems on death.
As a result of increasing R&D costs, Redbeard has decided to buy used items at only 80% of their initial price.
The game now supports keyboard and controller at the same time. This means the controller always works with the menus and you will be able to use the Steam Big Picture mode at all times with the game.
To allow this change, the key settings have been reset to the defaults for both keyboard and controllers.
You can now select the device you want to rebind in the key bindings panel.
Added a cursor speed setting that allows you to tweak it to your liking.
Added a visual indicator of the number of gems lost on death.

Added a controller deadzone setting to allow players to tweak their controller's responsiveness.
Very low/high values tend to bug so the default is set to 0.48.

Fixed an issue with controllers d-pad where the dpad would lock and be unresponsive.
Fixed an issue where using a controller didn't allow you to change the values on the slidebars (volume, exp modifier and gems modifier).
Fixed an issue where the green alien would actually put you into negative amounts of gems. He now stops at 25 gems stolen or if you're at 0 gems.
Added a Game Menu key binding and a default key (start for xbox controllers) to call the menu.
