We have been working hard since Iro Hero's last update and now we are coming back with this latest and ultimate patch.
We have read the reviews, listened to the players, searched through all the forums specialized in shmups and arcade games, and now we are glad to announce that we are launching the best version of Iro Hero. Let's call it "Iro Hero Players' Cut".
Here's the list of improvements:
- Small graphic improvements for Iro's ship. Turbines on both sides.
- Faster pace: We have increased the speed of the ship for more than 50%. Now it feels really fast, improving the chances to survive while avoiding enemy fire. The speed of the player's shots has also been increased accordingly, and so has the shooting rate. Players will feel much more powerful now.
- Improved difficulty ramp: Ok, still an arcade and still hard. Iro Hero will always be a challenge you should feel proud to accomplish. But we have made minor changes through all 9 levels to have a better balance in general, and have completely redone the first four levels in order to have a better difficulty ramp. Iro Hero was never unfair to the player, but we have also put a special effort to avoid certain extremely hard moments in levels 8 and 9.
- Possibility of spamming shots manually. Though it was already possble to do it, some players stated that it was hardly noticeable. We have listened to them, and though the autoshoot is still there, if you want to spam shoots manually in order to increase your shooting rate, you can do it and take advantage of it!
We are really glad about the comments received, and absolutely happy to be back with this update. We will keep listening to the players. So please, let us know your thoughs, and more important, let us know if you are enjoying the challenge!
