We just released a free demo of Monster Showdown on Oculus Quest 2 through sidequest! The demo only contains two stages, but if the reception is good we might try to port the entire game to quest 2.

We just released Version 1.0 of Monster Showdown and are now officially done with early access! This release adds the last 2 stages, the modifier system, bug fixes and a lot of polish. Thanks to everybody who supported feedback and helped us along the way!

The full release is getting closer and we want to run a last test before that. If you have been invited to the beta prior you can access the new beta branch. Check the announcement channel of our discord for instructions.

We've added a whole new game mode called Gun Game where you battle through waves of monsters while your weapon keeps changing to a better one every few kills. To win this game mode you need to reach to the last weapon. Additionally we added a much of new smaller features and fixe
We've added a whole new game mode called Gun Game where you battle through waves of monsters while your weapon keeps changing to a better one every few kills. To win this game mode you need to reach to the last weapon.
Additionally we added a much of new smaller features and fixed some more bugs:
- Added LIV Support for Mixed Reality Streaming
- Next Round Indicator now shows up on every new round
- Pyramid of Terror Rock Golem's area has been populated with more houses and props
- Ammo pack and Ammo Crate models have been updated to look better
- Special Thanks section has been added to the credits menu
- Melee weapon vibrating in the wrong hands has been fixed

We finished up most of the game systems and mechanics at this point together with most enemy types and stages.

From this point we want to take a few more months to polish up the game and get rid of some bugs for the full release. We also plan on adding a couple of more stages and boss encounters coming with that.
Alongside players who own the game on steam we also want to give beta access to outside users for a limited time to get feedback on balancing and the game feel.

We changed the games name from Monster Reapers VR to Monster Showdown to better fit the updated vision. We are currently preparing a beta build of the complete game to get some feedback and wrap up the full release :)
