There lies the mysterious Arcanum Laboratory – a long since abandoned place known for its ruthless and immoral magical experiments.
One of those experiments conducted by the Tholean mages involved the baneful energy named Chromaton. It is believed that it has the power to bring inanimate metal to life, but the mages failed to consider the dangers in bringing the unrefined essence into contact with their own living flesh. Perhaps they succeeded, perhaps they failed miserably. The outcome has never been chronicled…until now.

The free 1.2 update for Shadows: Awakening brings all the tricks and treats of Halloween to the Heretic Kingdoms, adding customizable key binding and much more.

Additions
Added free key binding with selected functionality.
Added drag & drop mechanic to the party screen.
Added quick save and quick load functions.
Added a skill and talent reset function.
New
Added 5 new additional legendary items to the game, each of which is named after some of the most active and helpful users on the Steam discussion boards.
Added a junk system to the inventory to speed up the process of getting rid of unwanted items.
Added the option to change difficulty at any time.
Halloween
Added Halloween decorations everywhere across the Heretic Kingdoms…among many other things.
Hint: Trick or Treat.
Improvements
Improved controls for the world map overview.
Improved walking animations for Kalig.
Improved boulder-pushing mechanics throughout the game.

Improvements
We have improved the GUI controls when using a gamepad.
Fixes
We have fixed a bug, which made it possible to equip an item into an incorrect slot.
Additionally, we have fixed a bug, which caused items to disappear when escaping from prison.
Another bug has been fixed with the ‘Guild of Steel’ puzzle.
We have also fixed a bug, which caused ‘Imperial Tombs’ sarcophaguses to be non-interactive after saving and loading in certain situations.
We have fixed invisible walls in ‘Burial Grounds’.
We have fixed a bug, which made it possible to kill certain NPCs under special conditions.
We have also fixed the calculation for the offhand when dual wielding (e.g. Zaar), as reported by the community frequently.
In addition, we have fixed a bug with the Blind Demon for the ‘Guild of Steel’ quest.
Another bug has been fixed, when interacting with Graabak.
We have fixed a bug for weapons with the ‘Slay’ attribute.
We also have fixed a bug, when opening the Steam overlay while interacting with the Shadowtrader.
Additionally, we have fixed some minor collision bugs.
And we also have fixed some minor text and localisation bugs.
