Oreol team here! We're happy to tell you that development of News Tycoon is going into high gear. We've added a lot of new stuff into the game since the hot-fix was released and alot more cool stuff is being finished right at this moment. So, let's begin with the new stuff!
NEW FEATURES
1) Forming unique paper
News paper release system was totally changed. Now you can choose the articles you want to publish from the list of written ones. For example, some of the written articles have low quality or relevance, so now you can just leave them by not publishing. You can choose what articles would be printed on the front page, simply by dragging it there. Photos on the frontpage can be set individual for each article as well. All important information about your newspaper (template, price, printing house etc.) are displayed right before release as well as windows with list of articles that you want to publish.
2) New age-related readers
Subscribers were changed to 5 age-related readers groups - each have unique preferences which events they want to read about:
?-18 - Celebrities, Technologies
18-25 - Politics, Sport
25-40 - Economy, Politics
40-60 - Economy, Incidents
60-? - Culture, Yellow Press
That makes you to think carefully about each article that is published. For example, if you've written about Culture most of the time (getting 60-? age group as main one) and then write about Technologies most of your readers just won't buy the newspaper. We tried to make preferences in a logical way, so you could carefully get the age-group you want to get.
3) Real time readers and money
Now money and new readers are calculated not only when release day comes, but in real-time during the whole week. Players get income at the end of the day (from all newspapers bought for 24 hours), readers are buying new newspapers during all week. Main game window was changed in order to display all that information.
4) English text proofreading
All existing english text was proofread, so we hope you'll enjoy all in-game text as it initially should have been. But still - if you notice some grammar errors or misspellings - please feel free to let us know - http://steamcommunity.com/app/581220/discussions/0/133260492064894645/
5) Random events were removed.
Yes, they won't bother you anymore :)
6) Picking your own CEO
We've taken this idea from one of our players (We appreciate all your suggestions, keep it up) - to let the player to choose those skills, that will be useful for different game styles.
7) Some visual changes
We've added some additional visual effects to make pictures look smoother and nicer and removed some old ones. So, the game looks nicer and has higher FPS rate.
8) Some input additions
Now you can set pause by pressing Spacebar and make Quicksave by pressing F5
9) Version system
Cool thing is - all your old saves will work with new features, that we add and will add in the future - No New Game with every update needed.
10) Bugfixing
Almost all bugs that were mentioned by the Community are fixed. So stay active in the future, it helps News Tycoon a lot. Feel free to report about bugs in the forums - http://steamcommunity.com/app/581220/discussions/2/

1) Quests and tutorial
At the moment we're finishing text part and translations, so quests are almost here - more info will be here soon.
2) Global newspapers rating
Also, at the final stage. It's much cooler to compete with others players rather than with the AI, right? So the new update will bring you Global Newspapers Ratings, where all the players will share their achievments in News Tycoon.
3) Mail from readers
We decided to make some additinal tips to help you understand what needs to be improved at the moment. Readers will give you advice about that.
