Spring is here soon, and to celebrate we will release an update to the Celestial Crossing!
Please do not mistake our silence for inactivity, we have simply been to busy to reply to all your comments and reviews but I assure you that we read them all. We are working on a few of the points that you have asked for and will hopefully release them soon.
1. Steam achievements - this has been in the works for a while now, and we will just have to do some more tweaking and testing.
2. Image gallery - this has been requested by a lot of people, another thing that people have requested is more CG images, hopefully we will be able to provide both but it is to soon to say.
3. graphical updates - some details will be tweaked, minor sprite updates and background changes
There are also a few requests that will not be in this update, but I would still like to adress them here:
By far the most popular request is an "Adult patch" for the game with mature content. We have promised to look into it and we are. However a patch like this would mean more work than most people probably expect, there are still many, many hours of work left here. And it is still to early to say if it will actually bare any fruit. But I will say that we will keep our promise and continue to look into it.
Another thing that a lot of people want is a "Nerith route"
This is something that was discussed since day one of the creation of this game. There is no romantic end with Nerith for a lot of reasons, but two of them are the major ones that made us decide to leave it out of the game.
Firstly we wanted to keep the relationship between Nerith and the player completely platonic, a non-romantic relationship between to characters of different genders are rare in games so we wanted to give it a try.
Another reason is that all possible endings must be similar enough so that if a sequel where to come out, the player would not feel lost in the story. The goal was that the sequel would make sense no mater what ending you got in the first game. And based on how popular Nerith became in the first game... who knows if there will be more variety in the endings of the sequel?
