Hey everyone!
Today is a big day for us - Brotherhood is officially out! We've spent a long time working on the game, listening to your feedback, tweaking the mechanics and polishing the atmosphere, and now we’re finally ready to share the full experience with you.
24 large, labyrinth-like levels - six themed acts that will take you from a brutal prison break to secret labs, scorching dunes, an ancient castle, and much more.
Classic old-school shooter gameplay - fast, punchy combat inspired by retro FPS design: medkits, ammo hunting, keycards, weapon upgrades, exploration, and plenty of hidden secrets.
20+ enemy types - relentless foes who will do anything to stop you. Use your mutagen-enhanced abilities together with a hefty arsenal of weapons to fight back.
Improvements based on the demo and early feedback - refined gameplay, updated visuals, better sound, and lots of polishing across the board.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable - it helps us improve the game and keep moving forward. If you enjoy Brotherhood, please consider leaving a review on the Steam store page!

Greetings, dear players!
We are thrilled to announce that playtest sign-ups for Stones Keeper II: Chaos Lord are now officially open! You can register right now by clicking the button on the store page. By taking part in the playtest, you’ll be able to earn exclusive rewards that will be available in the full game. The playtest is planned to begin in early 2026 - details about the rewards can be found below.
ABOUT THE PLAYTEST
Before we dive into the full details, we invite you to watch the trailer released specifically for the start of playtest sign-ups. We’re also delighted to announce that we’ve been selected for The Winter OTK Games Expo - a major event for indie developers. The expo kicks off on November 22.
You’ll be able to experience: - The first chapter of the Undead campaign, led by the Chaos Lord — introducing the story and core gameplay mechanics. - The “Skirmish” mode (previously unavailable in the demo version). - 3 playable factions (Humans, Undead, Inquisition) out of 9 planned in total (1 in the campaign + 2 in Skirmish mode). - Full animations for all units, dialogue portraits, and castles. - The ability to share your feedback via a Google Form. - Two Steam achievements. - Exclusive rewards for playtest participants.
🏆 EXCLUSIVE REWARDS
By participating in the playtest and completing specific objectives, each player will be able to unlock unique equipment for their units. These rewards will be granted in the full game once all conditions are met. Let’s take a closer look:
First reward - an enhanced axe for your Zombie unit. It significantly boosts its starting damage. By default, you cannot purchase it in the shop at the beginning of the game. However, don’t worry - it becomes available later in the campaign once you’ve collected the required resources. This reward simply grants early access to equipping the Zombie unit with the axe.
Second reward - an improved healing potion. It restores significantly more health and is a unique consumable item. This potion is available only to playtest participants and is single-use.
These rewards will be especially valuable for players who enjoy higher difficulty levels.
Conditions for earning the rewards: - Add the game to your Wishlist. - Follow the publisher on Steam: Valkyrie Initiative - Earn the Steam achievement "Strategist" during the playtest.
To unlock the "Strategist" achievement, you must complete the campaign content available in the playtest without losing a single unit - on any difficulty.
The playtest is scheduled for Q1 2026.
When the playtest begins, you will receive a notification. In the meantime, you can already complete the first step - add the game to your Wishlist to ensure you don’t miss the launch.

Hello, dear players!
We’re excited to announce that Decadent Heir is now open for playtest registration! You can sign up right now by clicking the “Request Access” button on the game’s Steam page. Why this matters — you’ll find out below. Playtests are planned to begin in the first quarter of 2026, or even earlier if there’s high player demand.
If this is your first time hearing about the game, let us introduce it briefly.
Decadent Heir is a narrative RPG set in the decadent twilight of the Russian Empire — a world where politics, betrayal, and luxury intertwine in a deadly dance of ambition.
What Makes Decadent Heir Unique?
You literally begin the game at your character’s birth and shape their personality through choices you make along the way — developing skills and traits that influence every aspect of the story. Every decision matters — even small ones, like spending time with your dog or choosing to read a book instead of socializing.
These seemingly minor moments can impact not only the protagonist but the entire world around them — even the fate of a nation. You’ll be able to revisit and reshape the defining events of an era.
The game embraces the idea of “What if?” — a question that will haunt you throughout your journey, sparking curiosity to see how different choices unfold. Decadent Heir rewards replayability with a roguelike structure — when your character dies, every new run expands your abilities and opens new ways to change the course of history.
Does the Game Use AI?
Yes — Decadent Heir uses AI to generate illustrations for its text-based scenes. This serves purely as a visual aid — the soul of the game lies in its mechanics and hand-crafted storytelling. Every narrative branch is written by hand, without any random generation — it’s a deeply personal work by someone who truly loves history.
ABOUT THE PLAYTESTS
Before we go further, take a moment to watch our new trailer celebrating this event:
The playtest, like the demo version, includes the first chapter out of five planned. What’s new in the playtest: - The first chapter has been reworked in both mechanics and story. - Numerous fixes and improvements. - Full Russian voice acting added (it completely changes the experience!). - Feedback form available via Google. - Steam achievements added. - Exclusive reward for playtest participants.
🏆EXCLUSIVE REWARD:
By taking part in the playtest and meeting specific conditions, every participant can earn a unique reward — an exclusive talent.
How to qualify: - Add the game to your wishlist. - Follow our publisher page on Steam. - During the playtest, earn the Steam achievement “Hat Trick”.
At the start of the game, you can choose from four basic talents.
As a playtester, you’ll gain access to an additional exclusive talent upon the game’s full release — “Lucky Charm”. It increases your luck during risk-based choices, allowing your story to take completely unexpected turns. The risk system in Decadent Heir is designed so that every bold decision can lead to unpredictable outcomes — from a tragic death to the discovery of entirely new story branches!
Knowing this — and with this talent in your hands — will you take more risks? Will you feel the thrill of taking risks, or the comfort of knowing luck is with you?
Whatever you choose, remember: this game isn’t about numbers or stats. Even a “successful” risky choice can have unexpected consequences — for the protagonist or those around them. So follow your heart when making decisions.
And now, we invite you to make one simple choice — add the game to your Steam wishlist.

So you're probably wondering how I'm spending the last few days. Well, it's simple, when I'm not freaking out and reminding people when it's coming I'm playtesting the levels a lot, I'm taking care of press and trying to promote the game as much as possible, speaking of which, here's a few cool things that happened this week.
Firstly, I was approached by GameTyrant for an interview, the interviewer was a great guy with a really big interest in horror games, needless to say, we both had a blast talking about the project, you can read the article here:
Secondly, you might be aware that I'm just one person developing the game, and asking people to "play my game" is often considered begging and/or annoying. So I decided to launch a campaign on Thunderclap.
If you feel like helping out, here's how it works: You first go to this link: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/52763-a-demon-s-game-crowdfunding?locale=en
And then you can support the project with your facebook/twitter, what this will do is send a message for you once, on the day of release, aka the 10th of this month.
I'm trying to reach 100 supporters before the 10th, currently I sit at 36 and I already have a social reach of 132 thousand people, that's insane. So if you do decide to help out in any way, thank you. Seriously.

After going radio silent for a week I return with some really, really good news.
First and foremost, the last level of the first episode is finished, I'm currently testing it out and seeing if I can break it before I upload a beta build to steam. After a couple days of it being there, if there aren't any issues, I will be launching the game on february 10th. Yes, you can quote me on that.
I have to tell you though, making this level was not easy at all, I had so many ideas that never saw the light of day, but I hope that the way I created things work out for the better and I hope to use those scrapped ideas in the future someway.
So here's a bit of information for the last level for those of you who've been wanting to play it:
There's a way to kill the demon.
There's a way to escape without killing him.
The last level has 5 different variations depending on what you do.
It goes without saying that there are multiple endings for what happens when you finish the last level as well, but I'll leave that for you to find out.
That's it for now! I've probably already said too much so I hope you'll like what's in store for you.

Hey gents!
First and foremost, I would like to apologize for my lack of updates the last week, personal life took a big hit and I got extremely busy, but rest assured that updates for the game will follow as soon as possible since I now have time to focus on it.
So what have I got planned?
First piece of news is the upcoming 0.4.5 update, it will launch sometime after the next engine update. Most important features of that update are:
-Performance boosts. (Thanks to the way lights and objects affect each other being rewritten)
-Size of the game will drastically decrease. (Thanks to ogg support)
-More bug fixes.
I will keep you updated on when I'm thinking of releasing this patch, and yes it will arrive before the first episode's official launch, speaking of which...
Release date for any game is a critical thing to nail down, and looks like I got extremely unlucky this year, as RE7, Outlast 2, Agony, Scorn and a few others are all big horror titles coming out this year, so I have to pick my fights where there aren't any, I was planning to release the game this january, BUT, RE7 comes out at the end of this month, and the month of february doesn't have any big horror releases, so that's going to be my month to shine. I don't have a specific day to release the game yet, but it will arrive in february.
What have been working on lately is a weird mix of learning and developing, I recently got my hands on Substance Designer 2 and it's an incredible piece of software, as soon as I get more experience with it, I will use it for upcoming episodes. The development on the last level of the episode has been slow and methodical, since I need every branching path to fit flawlessly, the past 2-3 days have been me exploring the ways the map can branch out while keeping things conclusive and fun.
Here's a few WIP pictures, SPOILERS OF COURSE.
NOTE THAT THESE ARE VERY EARLY REPRESENTATIONS OF THE FINAL PRODUCT.
