Build Your Own Marlborough B!
Black Friday starts early this year with a new Dockyard event that lets you build the Black Friday version of heavy-punching British battleship Marlborough.
The Dockyard consists of 28 phases, 23 of which can be completed via dedicated combat missions. To complete Marlborough B, you must purchase at least five phases for Doubloons—either individually or in starter packs.
This battleship features an impressive main battery consisting of sixteen 356 mm guns, ready to fire powerful HE shells. Her fast-reloading main battery allows Marlborough B to unleash devastating fire on the enemy, although her accuracy is nothing to write home about. She has good concealment for a battleship, while her armor is rather weak and her citadel is particularly vulnerable.

Akagi served as the flagship of the 1st Air Fleet from its formation and led the Imperial Japanese offensives in the early parts of the Pacific campaign of the Second World War. Originally laid down as an Amagi-class battlecruiser, she was converted into an aircraft carrier following the signing of the Washington Naval Treaty, along with the Tosa-class battleship Kaga. Rebuilt several times during the interwar period, she was sunk during the Battle of Midway in June 1942, following several bomb hits from dive bombers flying from USS Enterprise.
Gameplay features:

High offensive capabilities

Low plane HP
Mediocre plane regeneration time and hangar size for non-tactical squadrons
The long-awaited Akagi makes her debut in World of Warships! Her aerial squadrons come in two groups: The standard group pairs torpedo bombers with HE skip bombers, flying tougher planes but with thin reserves and slow regeneration, and the tactical group pairs torpedo bombers with HE dive bombers, trading plane HP for greater damage potential.
Her standard torpedo squadron features signature Japanese high-damage torpedoes, while the skip bombers reliably set fires on surface ships. These planes carry a larger HP pool than her tactical aircraft, but they come with few reserves and slow regeneration, so you will need to be careful about which targets you choose to attack. Losing planes early will be felt for the rest of the battle, especially with the recent anti-aircraft armament changes, where focusing on a single target amplifies its AA output. Look instead for isolated targets on either side of the map and stay clear of AA clusters. Her air group sits on the weaker side of the tier in terms of overall plane HP.
Her tactical squadrons are less an alternative to the standard ones but more the other half of the same rotation. Because they restore in full on a fixed countdown, they are the squadrons to spend on riskier plays: striking higher-AA fire ships, or forcing out strong anti-air defense with Evasive Maneuvers to secure a specific kill and assist your allies. Her tactical dive-bomber squadron is the better choice against agile targets such as destroyers. Good Akagi play means alternating tactical strikes with conventional ones so that neither group is ever fully spent, because losing either one stings.

Update 15.8 marks 11 years of beautiful friendships, epic rivalries, and all-round good times on the seas of World of Warships, and we're celebrating with a festive Port, a birthday gift, and Festive Rewards!

Log in to see the new Maritime Parade Port, then fight your first battle to unlock the Birthday Gift package in the Armory: the Happy Blastday enemy destruction effect, "Blast & Bash" permanent camouflage, Battle of Santiago de Cuba containers, Red Steel Titan containers, and 11 days of Warships Premium Account.
Festive Rewards (aka Snowflakes) are back—earn Festive Tokens for Tier V–X ships and Steel for superships just by playing!
You'll be able to spend those Tokens on Kurama, a new Japanese super cruiser in Early Access, plus Red Steel Titan and Battle of Santiago de Cuba containers, up to 130 Supercontainers, and more.
Long-serving Captains will also receive an overhauled Honorable Service Reward for their 11th year in the game!
11 Years of Glory Event Pass
The 11 Years of Glory Event Pass brings a haul of anniversary-themed rewards.

The first progression line includes the 11 Years of Glory flag, Commander delmar_83, two permanent camouflages, and the Happy Blastday enemy destruction effect.
Unlock the second line for 2,500 Doubloons to immediately receive Commander General Greenwood.
Keep progressing to earn British Tier VI cruiser Orion '44, the Press F enemy destruction effect, and the Interdimensional Shift camouflage for Zieten.
Marlborough B Dockyard
Black Friday starts early with a new Dockyard for British Tier IX battleship Marlborough B.

Complete 28 construction phases—23 through combat missions, the rest with Doubloons—to build your own Black Friday Marlborough B.
She wields sixteen 356 mm guns with a high rate of fire and heavy salvos, offset by shaky accuracy and a vulnerable citadel.
The Dockyard runs into Update 15.9, but note that the combat missions are available only for the first 3 weeks of it.
New Operations for Low-Tier Ships
Three new Operations give lower-tier ships more ways to shine in PvE.

Trial by Fire (Tier II+), Swarm of Steel (Tier III+), and Beehive (Tier IV+) are all playable up through Tier VI.
Each Operation keeps its core scenario but adds tougher mechanics and extra objectives at higher tiers, and Operation Killer Whale gets a new Tier V–VI version too.
Birthday Wishing Wharf
A dedicated Armory event lets you use "Tries" to access a pool of anniversary rewards.

New arrivals include German battleship Friedrich Carl and Naval Legacy ship Chikuma Shō-Gō, plus returning favorites Sibir, Victoria, and Narai.
Every 10 Tries guarantees a permanent camouflage or enemy destruction effect.
Three Kingdoms Returns
The Three Kingdoms event sails back into the Armory with new Pan-Asian ships and Commanders.

New rare Tier IX destroyer Red Hare and Tier X cruiser Zhuge Liang join returning fleet favorites.
Complete a combat mission chain to recruit Diaochan or Sun Shangxiang for free, and five Commanders with individual voiceovers headline the roster.
New Ship for Steel: Taejong
Starting in the third week, rare Pan-Asian Tier X cruiser Taejong joins the Armory for 31,000 Steel.

Twelve 127 mm guns with a high rate of fire, an alternative fire mode for close-range brawling, and long-range deepwater torpedoes.
Low HP and weak armor mean she relies on Engine Boost and Surveillance Radar to stay ahead of the fight.
New Brawls
Update 15.8 adds three new Brawls to the game.

The first grants lifesteal for dealing damage in a Tier VIII battle, while the third cranks up torpedo speed and reload in an all-destroyer Tier X brawl.

New Jersey is the second member of the four-strong Iowa-Class completed by the United States. Commissioned in 1943, she served in the Pacific theatre of the Second World War before being placed in reserve post-war. She was reactivated three times during the Korean war, the Vietnam war, and during the 1980s, before finally leaving service and becoming a museum ship in 2001.
Command and conquer! New Jersey fully adopts the support-oriented playstyle, allowing you to strategically buff your allies, or yourself, and get an edge in battle!

Access to support-oriented consumables
Combat Instructions charged by using the support consumables
High speed
Lower than average HP pool, but with an access to Enhanced Repair Party
Mediocre base firepower
New Jersey is the last of the Iowa-class ships to enter the game, and she offers a unique playstyle and tradeoffs. She keeps nine 406mm guns with standard accuracy, giving up raw firepower for her Tier. Still, in exchange, she gets access to a palette of support consumables, letting you make an indirect impact by buffing your allies when the right moment comes. As you may already know, the support consumables work within a radius around your ship, so you'll need to adopt a position where you can maximize their usage by having the most allies within range, especially on active flanks. For that, you can rely on her high speed.
New Jersey has specific Combat Instructions that charge as you use those support consumables. You'll build up the progress bar very quickly when you support several allies at once, opening a short window to fire off powerful, accurate salvoes of your own. You can also charge Combat Instructions by using these consumables on yourself, but this will provide a lower charge percentage. As always with support ships, timing is everything. You might hold a consumable back to save an ally with a last-minute heal, or fuel a friendly battleship's push by boosting its secondary firepower. It opens a wide array of possibilities, but it all comes down to your decision-making.

The Anniversary update is on its way, and we're ready to share some details about its main events!

11th Anniversary of World of Warships: Update 15.8 marks 11 years since the game's launch, and we're celebrating with a lineup of festive activities, rewards, and free content! As soon as you log in, you'll notice the new Maritime Parade Port, and after fighting your first battle, you can claim a special gift in the Armory. Festive Rewards, also known as Snowflakes, are also making a comeback, letting you earn Festive Tokens with your Tier V–X ships and Steel with your superships. You'll be able to exchange these for Supercontainers, enemy destruction effects, or even Japanese super cruiser Kurama in Early Access, among other items.
Marlborough B Dockyard: Update 15.8 opens the doors to a new Dockyard where you can construct the Black Friday version of Marlborough—a British battleship with sixteen 356 mm main battery guns with a high rate of fire and heavy salvos, plus good concealment for her tier.
Low-Tier Operations: We're adding three new Operations aimed at lower-tier ships: Trial by Fire, Swarm of Steel, and Beehive. Holiday Convoy
Update 15.7 kicks off Holiday Convoy, a long-running seasonal event spanning six Updates that keeps the rewards coming all the way to the New Year and beyond.

11 Rare, epic, and legendary ships are up for grabs, including returning favorites Bismarck '41, Kitakami, and Independencia, plus new arrivals Rodina, Tōgasa, Latouche-Tréville, and New Jersey.
Earn Holiday Convoy Tokens through daily combat missions, or convert your Steel, Research Points, and Coal—choose your own pace and path to the rewards you want most.
Trade Tokens for up to 18,000 Doubloons in total, with a 3,000 Doubloon pack available during each Update.
Head to the Update Navigator in Port to track your progress and spend your Tokens on rewards.
Early Access to Pan-American Destroyers
The first Pan-American destroyer branch sails into Early Access with Update 15.7—eight artillery-focused ships built for punishing anyone showing broadside.

AP-only main guns with excellent ricochet angles, backed by a Main Battery Reload Booster from Tier VI and Combat Instructions from Tier VIII.
Weak, short-range torpedoes, smaller HP pools, and slower upper tiers are offset by branch-wide access to an enhanced Repair Party.
Get three of these destroyers for free: two through Armory bundles and one in the free track of the Update 15.7 Event Pass.
New Premium cruiser Almirante Irízar and two new Pan-American Commanders round out the Early Access lineup.
Pan-American Destroyers Event Pass
Update 15.7's Event Pass is dedicated to the Pan-American destroyers, letting you earn two more of them alongside other themed rewards.

The first progression line includes Tier V destroyer Antioquia, plus the Brazilian and Mayan Mystery permanent camouflages.
Unlock the second line for 2,500 Doubloons to immediately receive Pan-American Commander José Padilla López.
Further rewards include Tier VII destroyer Marcílio Dias, Tier VI Premium destroyer Juruá, and 2x Lavender Fudge permanent camouflages.
Aircraft Carriers and AA Update
Update 15.7 reworks anti-aircraft gameplay and gives aircraft carriers new ways to support their team.

Priority Sector is replaced by AA Defense Priority, a full 360-degree AA boost available to every ship—just press "O" or "~" to activate it.
Long-press the same key to unleash Concentrated AA Fire, a charge-up mechanic that deals extra damage to enemy squadrons and discourages repeated attacks on the same target.
Defensive AA Fire is replaced by Auxiliary and Torpedo Weaponry Coordination, which also boosts secondary gun damage and speeds up Airstrike and torpedo reloads.
Two new Targeted Tactical Consumables—Firefighting Assistance and Repair Assistance—let select aircraft carriers extinguish allied fires or heal allies from the air.
Rarity System Update and Legendary Economic Bonuses
The Rarity system keeps expanding, and expendable economic bonuses now reach the top tier.

Patches, flags, and decals all receive rarity grades, ranging from common up to the exclusive legendary tier.
New Legendary economic bonuses grant up to +480% Credits, +2,400% Ship XP, +2,400% Commander XP, and +7,200% Free XP.
Epic Free XP bonuses drop to +4,800% but convert automatically into Exchange Tokens, redeemable 1:1 for legendary bonuses of your choice.
New Brawls
Update 15.7 adds three new Brawls to the game.

The first pits 4v4 Tier X battleships, cruisers, and destroyers against each other with drastically shorter consumable cooldowns, longer smoke duration, and a bigger Engine Boost bonus.
New Collection and Unique Commander Pascual Cervera y Topete
Spain gets its first Unique Commander with the new Battle of Santiago de Cuba historical collection.

Complete the 60-element collection to recruit Commander Pascual Cervera y Topete, who commanded a Spanish squadron at the 1898 Battle of Santiago de Cuba.
Collection elements drop from Battle of Santiago de Cuba Premium containers, which can also drop new Tier IX Premium battleship Triunfante.
Grab Triunfante directly at the end of a sequential Armory bundle stacked with collection containers.

The Concentrated AA Fire mechanic has been changed. The time before you start losing progress has been increased from 70 to 130 s.
Bots in Asymmetric Battles made slightly stronger at Battle Tier VIII and slightly easier at Battle Tier IX.
Fixed a bug that caused bots in Co-Op, Random Battles, and Operations to stop shooting in some cases.
Fixed a UI bug where the tooltip for manual secondaries did not change when the Auxiliary and Torpedo Weaponry Coordination consumable was active.
Fixed a UI bug that displayed guiding tips for Unique Commanders in Port even after their manual closure.
Fixed an issue that prevented talent modifiers from being shown correctly in the Armory tooltips for some Unique Commanders.
Made several other fixes and improvements.

Update 15.6 is firing on all cylinders, so it's time to look ahead and see what's coming in Update 15.7! Below is a brief breakdown of some of the key features. If you want more details, check out the Work in Progress article on our website.

Aircraft Carrier and AA Updates: Update 15.7 brings a bunch of improvements to aircraft carriers and AA gameplay. Changes to AA include the replacement of the broadside-based priority sector with the 360-degree AA Defense Priority, a buffed version of Concentrated AA Fire that can be activated after filling a progress bar. You can also expect changes to consumables, upgrades, Commander skills, and signals relating to AA. On the aircraft carrier side, expect two new squadron consumables: Firefighting Assistance, which extinguishes fires on allied ships, and Repair Assistance, which restores a portion of the chosen allied ship's HP over time.
Early Access to Pan-American Destroyers: The Pan-American destroyer line enters Early Access in Update 15.7. The branch consists of eight ships: Almirante Villar, Serrano, Antioquia, Cervantes, Marcílio Dias, Cuauhtémoc, Nueva Esparta, and 20 de Julio. They are artillery-focused ships with various tier-specific tools to further enhance their gun efficiency, including AP-only guns with good ricochet angles, Main Battery Reload Booster, and Combat Instructions that improve shell performance.
Pascual Cervera y Topete and the Battle of Santiago de Cuba: Spain's new Unique Commander—Pascual Cervera y Topete—arrives in Update 15.7, along with a 60-element collection that allows you to enlist him. The collection is dedicated to the Battle of Santiago de Cuba: a decisive naval engagement of the Spanish-American War that saw the Cervera's fleet go down fighting a superior American force.

Battle Pass
Update 15.6 introduces the Battle Pass—a new format temporarily replacing the standard Event Pass. Instead of following a linear progression, you'll navigate a strategic map with three main areas and choose your own path to the rewards you want most.

Completing daily and weekly missions will earn you Battle Pass Points and let you claim adjacent sectors within the three areas. Claiming each sector grants a free reward.
The three areas unlock individually over time: area 1 at launch, area 2 after week 1, area 3 after week 2. Once unlocked, all areas remain available until the Battle Pass ends.
Upgrading each area with Doubloons (2,000 / 750 / 750) grants additional rewards for all claimed and unclaimed sectors in that area.
Free rewards: 12x different decals, 3x Decals Premium containers, 1x new Colorful Turquoise enemy destruction effect, 1x Captain's Holdall Premium container, and 1x Summer permanent camouflage.
Upgraded area rewards include Spanish Tier VI cruiser Canarias and her Atlantic permanent camouflage, five more decals, the "Boom!" and Colorful Purple enemy destruction effects, the Celestial Dragon camo for Cataluña, and a pair of Pin-Up Summer permanent camouflages.
Changes to Unique Commander Talents
Update 15.6 brings quality-of-life improvements to unique Commander talents, making them more consistent and usable across more battle types.

Achievement-based triggers are removed; talents now activate in a broader range of battle types, including Asymmetric Battles.
Some activation conditions now use staged triggers—the better you perform, the more powerful the talent becomes.
Certain talents gain separate activation conditions and bonuses per battle type.
Free skill reset: You'll be able to reset the skills of any or all Commanders for free during the first 2 weeks of Update 15.6.
Riposte Map Changes
The Riposte map is now available in more battle types, and it has a full underwater world.

Brawls, Clan Battles, and Ranked Battles retain current Riposte settings.
Co-op Battles get a new Riposte version with three Key Areas; Random Battles get two versions with four Key Areas.
In Co-op and Random Battles, Riposte is available for Tier VI–IX ships.
Submarines are now playable on Riposte in all battle types.
Salvage for Victory: Affondatore
Earn Italian super battleship Affondatore—"the Sinker"—in Early Access. She enters the Tech Tree with Update 15.9.

Ship highlights: Powerful main guns with good short-range accuracy, Italian SAP shells, strong armor with good citadel protection, Exhaust Smoke Generator, and Combat Instructions that charge with main gun hits—enhancing speed and consumable reload time.
Use Credits, Elite Commander XP, Coal, or uncommon expendable economic bonuses (each up to 50% of the bar). Personal Challenges provide Salvage Tokens for up to 30% more.
Completion rewards: Affondatore, a Commander, and a commemorative flag.
New Ranked Battles Season & Brawls
A new Ranked Battles season begins with Update 15.6, alongside three new Brawls.

Week 1 Brawl: 4v4; Tier IX battleships, cruisers, and destroyers—ramming damage reduced by 99%, with increased speed and maneuverability, and reduced 180-degree gun/torpedo turning times.
Summer Festival
The Summer Festival returns with Mediterranean vibes. Buy Doubloons to earn Summer Tokens, advance the progress bar, and unlock returning rare ships in the Armory.

Summer Token rewards include Santa's Gift, Santa's Mega Gift, Santa's Ultra Gift, and Premium Ship V–IX containers.
The new Wishing Wharf offers rare ships for Doubloons, including newcomer Italian Tier X Premium battleship Conte Verde, plus Nanning, Cambridge, Arkhangelsk, Royal Sovereign, Rhode Island, Suzuya, Tsurugi, Almirante Grau, and Cheshire.
The first Italian submarine Tech Tree line has left Early Access and is now available to research.
