- New missions have been added to the campaign.
- Complete graphical overhaul. All ship models and weapon effects have been upgraded.
- Added a new primary weapon: the kinetic lance which allows for long range precision shooting.
- Add a new secondary weapon: drop mines behind your ship to surprise the enemy you can’t shake off.
- A pre-mission briefing similar to those of the original Wing Commander.
- Added a cruise mode that greatly increases the ship’s speed at the cost of being unable to turn or fire.
- Voice chat support added to multiplayer.
