It's been a very long time since I updated Farm Life: Natures Adventure. I understand there are a lot of issues at the moment with the game. Therefore I've decided to go back to the start and fully flush out all the features that existed in the game before I started to expand upo
It's been a very long time since I updated Farm Life: Natures Adventure. I understand there are a lot of issues at the moment with the game. Therefore I've decided to go back to the start and fully flush out all the features that existed in the game before I started to expand upon it.

Entire map conversion - Before the map was broken up into segments that made up one big map but it felt clunky, restricted and actually made no sense since I'm not limited by the size of the map by the engine. It took a while to go back and connect all the maps that had been separated to join them all together to make one big map. Here is the result... I know the map is quite blank in some areas but it was how the map was initially pictured back when I made the map template > I will be looking to expand the map once this update is finished.
New map view - Since having the map open, there isn't any need for a map anymore instead you can now use the [M] key to view the map. This will highlight all the NPC's on the map that now walk around, your player and points of interest.
Walking NPC's - The map felt boring, static and dead with nothing actually moving around. So this was a much needed feature since you can now see all dating candidates walk around the map.
More jump spaces - This allows the player to quickly adventure around the map without sticking to the guided path.
Fishing - Improved the fishing system as the last one felt a bit stiff with watching this wave of water. Therefore you now will need to reel your line near a fish and catch it. eliminating the random wave thingy-ma-bob.
Swimming?? - Since I've added more jump spaces. I thought wouldn't it be better if the player could enter the water and actually grab the fish.

Hi, It's Brett again with another update for Farm Life. I've spent the last two weeks trying to flush out majority of the bugs that appear on our trello board and bring back the features that made Farm Life a unique experience compared to other farm simulation games available on steam.
So, whats new you say?
Well, mhmmm... cough, cough... choke. Wish come true for some of you there.
New Platforms

Windows 32bit support has been added.
Linux 32bit support has been added.
Linux 64bit support has been added.
Mac 64bit support has been added.
Full Controller Support

Controller will now be able to access the mouse cursor to navigate menus such as the backpack, settings and quest menu.
Added additional button configurations to the controller to allow instant access to backpack, settings and quest menu.
Controls: Left Stick - Move, A Button - Equip Tool, RT - Use Tool, RB - Swap Tool Right, LB - Swap Tool Left, Y Button - Quest Menu, Start Button - Settings Menu, Back Button - Inventory.
Menu Controls: Left Stick - Move Cursor, A Button - Accept/Confirm/Equip, B Button - Decline/Cancel.
New Tools

Scythe - This tool is great for cutting overgrown grass and crops from your farm.
Hammer - This tool is used to smash rocks that have stumbed upon your farm.
Axe - This tool can be used in the woods area to chop down trees.
New Resouces

Lumber - Gathered from chopping trees, not much use as of yet but can be sold for £1.
Thatch - Gathered from cutting overgrown grass and crops, not much use as of yet but can be sold for £1.
Stone - Gathered from smashing rocks, not much use as of yet but can be sold for £1.
Topaz Ore - Gathered from the mine below a certain floor level, topaz can be sold for £30.
Ruby Ore - Gathered from the mine below a certain floor level, rubycan be sold for £40.
Rhodonite Ore - Gathered from the mine below a certain floor level, rhodonite can be sold for £50.
New Upgrades

Hoe Upgrade - Now available to purchase from the blacksmith.
PickAxe Upgrade - Now available to purchase from the blacksmith.
Watering Can Upgrade - Now available to purchase from the blacksmith.
BackPack Upgrade - Now available to purchase from the farmer.
New Furniture

Chest - You can now store up to eight items within the chest. The chest can be accessed in the players home.
New Quest Book

Quests - will be given at the start of each day, you may only receive certain quests depending on the season, time and progress. Each quest will have a goal and some rewards upon completing them.
Rerolling Quests - you can reroll (wipe) quests at any time if you're unable to complete them.
New Customization

Hair - Three new hair types are now available upon starting the game, these are for the viking players.
Bug Fixes and General Improvements

You can now purchase multiple stacks of seeds. Though you must completely fill one stack before another is made.
Other improvements but have forgotten at this point what they are, maybe you can enlighten me?
Several bug fixes that have been filed on trello by @longyoc (Many Thanks!)
Known Bugs: If you cannot control the cursor please use the leave default key (L) and press (J) to rejoin. Controller: DPAD DOWN + Start Button to leave and Start Button to rejoin.
I'm now working on putting two player co-op back into the game reintroducing the online.

14 New Steam Achievements - If you've completed these tasks already, load your saved game as this will unlock them for you.

Who are you and who is that - Unlock this achievement by hosting your own online server or joining a private server, MMO server does not count towards this achievement.
All four seasons shall pass - Unlock this achievement by playing through an entire year within the game eventually witnessing all four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter).
Starter Farmer - Unlock this achievement by playing for a time period of one hour in one saved game session.
True Farmer - Unlock this achievement by playing for a time period of three hours in one saved game session.
Master Farmer - Unlock this achievement by playing for a time period of five hours in one saved game session.
Mayors are judged by results - Unlock this achievement by completing all the mayors requests during the event hosted in Winter. Fixed an issue with speaking to NPCs would cause the player interaction to lock up in certain circumstances.
Fixed an issue with being able to access buildings during the period of 12AM instead of 12PM.
Fixed an issue with still being able to connect online to other players whilst using cheats.
Fixed an issue with online name showing steam name during first initialization. Only your in-game player name should be revealed whilst playing online.

Many of you know that when I first added multiplayer it was very lacking in depth therefore I decided to go back to the start and try again.

MMO - Massive Multiplayer Online Server Massive Multiplayer is asynchronous meaning that you are all connected but you are all in your own instances. You can see each other but they can't interact with your town.

World icon will prompt the player of disconnecting from the main server.
Speech icon will display a text box directly in the centre of the screen, here you can type to all players within the private server.
Host - Private Online Server
Hosting a private server connects you to one of our authenticated servers, once connected you will be able to see a online status bar at the bottom left of your screen.

World icon will prompt the player of disconnecting from the main server.
Speech icon will display a text box directly in the centre of the screen, here you can type to all players within the private server.
Invite icon will display only if you are hosting the server, pressing the icon will prompt the player of Private Server ID (PSID) code. You must send the following code to your friends, the code will be copied to your clipboard.
Join - Private Online Server
Joining a private server connects you to your friends authenticated server, when pressed the player will be prompted to enter a Private Server ID (PSID) code.

Extra Keyboard keys (Numpad Keys and : ? ! £) whilst inputting text when naming player, farm, town, pet and online chat.
Windows to the players house and barn to reflect time of day.

Thunder and lightning will now produce heavy rain causing poor visibility.
Calendar switch, you can now have a look at all the special events happening throughout the year.
Fireplace to the home to give it a warmer feeling and for people to come down it.
Event area will now be decorated by the mayor when an event is taking place.
Four new steam achievements for you hardcore players to earn.
Changes

Changed animation for heavy rain, rain and snow.
Changed animation for calendar seasons.
Changed animation for pointing arrow during tutorial.
Changed weather affecting all outside areas, the beach was previously restricted to not having weather but now that has changed!
Changed the weather layer to not follow the players HUD, now weather feels more natural.
Changed mayor actions, players can no longer change benches to christmas trees.
Changed swimming text to include more information for the player.
Changed the objective in swimming to be more tailored to the newest achievement.

Therefore all our future modding will be run from a basic text file, we will have big news within the next couple of weeks.

You will see this button appear normally where the load game button appears. New game+ allows you to start the game again with majority of your previous work carried over to a newer save version. This should fix errors that have come up due to changes with the character system.

Added masks for NPCs during Halloween.

New Additions

Added clothing shop - Violet is the new shopkeeper in town and she will sell you loads of new clothing from top to bottom. Violet is the first shopkeeper to be able to have discounts on certain products during the year, maybe waiting for a sale?
Added clothing for the player that can be purchased at clothing shop.
Added bees, you can now purchase bee hives from Tom the old farmer at the marketplace. Bee hives will be located within the farm, right next door to the chicken coop. They will have their own patch ready for when you purchase the hives. Bees produce honey everyday except in winter as they like to keep their honey to themselves during this season. "Get behind a fellow, black and yellow"
Added birds, birds will fly away from you when you're too close. They'll land on wooden fences, house tops and tree branchs.
Added frame rate pacing due to frame rate dropping when no frames needed to be updated on the clients screen. This will improve majority of animations that didn't sync due to a frame rate spike.
Added honey to the inventory system, this can be located in the inventory through Animal Care > Animal Items > Farm Produce. This also splits the animal section into two animal produces Milk, Wool, Egg and Manure then other Honey.
Added floating icons above all shop keepers so you can identify the shop keeper upon entering.
Added option to change the alarm clock to midnight. So you can walk in the dark, see the night light up and visit shops during the early morning.
Added audio and more information to when there is an event taking place and trying to enter a building which is closed.
Added rotatable character model on character customization menu.
Improvements

Changed in-game time from 6am to 9am when finishing the tutorial. This should allow you shop on the first day and enter majority of the buildings.
Changed in-game timer to be extended for a longer period. PC: from 12 to 15 minutes / Mobile: from 15 to 20 minutes.
Changed corn field within the marketplace area, so that the player no longer clips through the corn.
Changed old farmer to Tomwares which is now open from 8am till 4pm. Tom will sell all buildings for your farm.
Changed map to reflect the changes to the farm and other parts of the town.
Changed controller deadzone area. This will make it better for controlling the player if you're using an old controller.
Changed pickaxe effectiveness when mining ore from 1/2/5/10 to 1/3/5/10.

Fixed an issue that would cause Steam to not unlock achievements when all requirements are fulfilled.
Fixed an issue with co-op partner spawning at the first player location which would cause it to glitch backwards into another section.
