The following changes are planned for Ver. 1.0.20. Some details may be added or revised before maintenance.
League Battles
Added League Battles, a major new feature in MPIG.
You will be automatically matched against monster parties or other players’ parties. Battle results affect your Rating and League.
Up to 100 League Battles can be played automatically each day.
Battles grant Coins. Daily League ranking rewards include Boss Tickets or Random Boxes.
League results will appear in the offline summary. The Steam Store description will also be updated.
Rankings, Nicknames & Titles
Stage Ranking: Highest Stage reached and clear time.
League Ranking: Rating.
Nicknames can contain 2–10 characters. Inappropriate language will be restricted.
Your selected Title appears above your name in rankings and provides no stat bonuses.
Hero Formation & Skills
Added options to rearrange your formation and exclude Heroes from the active party. Changes apply when the next Stage begins.
Only Heroes in the active party earn EXP.
A Knight-only formation counts toward the Solo Developer achievement when the Stage begins.
Added Skill Presets and −, +, and Max buttons for Active Skills.
Trade Vessel & Steam Community Market
Materials listed on the Market remain in their Sell Deposit slots until sold.
Free selling slots increase from 2 to 4: two unlock one week after the first login, and the remaining two after two weeks.
Accounts with one free slot already unlocked immediately receive one additional slot; the remaining two unlock at the two-week mark.
Trying to retrieve a listed item now explains that the listing must be canceled first.
The incorrect 6-hour retrieval time in Help is corrected to 12 hours.
Added refresh and remaining-wait displays to the Inbox. The storage button now opens your Steam Inventory.
Automation Pack
Auto Combine starts from the highest Blacksmith level range currently unlocked.
Added an upper-limit option for Auto Combine and updated Start/Stop buttons to match the Mage Tower controls.
Blacksmith & Risk Enchant
Added Risk Enchant for higher-grade Enchantments. It expands the possible stat range, but a failed attempt has a 50% chance to destroy the Gear.
Regular Enchantments without destruction remain unchanged.
Compatible non-Gear items can now be dragged into the Blacksmith.
Added an option to skip regular Enchant confirmations. Risk Enchant confirmations always appear.
Rewards & Collections
The first clear of an X-9 Stage after the update grants 2 Boss Tickets for that difficulty. Previous clears are not rewarded retroactively.
Boss Tickets can now be sold.
Gear above a Collection’s required grade now counts toward completion. Previously recorded higher-grade acquisitions count retroactively.
Offline rewards now use the Stage selected before logout instead of the highest cleared Stage. Additional edge cases were fixed.
Combat Changes
Skills cannot be changed during boss battles. Removing an Active Skill immediately removes its related effects.
Warrior reflected damage now appears in the Damage Meter. The visual effect for the Mage’s God’s Wrath was updated.
Changing World difficulty no longer changes your selected Stage.
UI, Help & Optimization
Improved the clarity of regular and outlined fonts.
Added Status help for damage calculations, Defense, Elemental Resistance, and Damage Reduction.
For Gear below Epic, the trade restriction now correctly states that its grade prevents trading.
Currency displays using G are replaced by the Coin icon and amount.
Fixed the option for disabling sale confirmations and reduced unnecessary server database updates.
Early Player Appreciation Rewards
Thank you to everyone who has been with MPIG. Appreciation rewards will be based on your progress when maintenance begins.
Eligibility & Reward Criteria
Eligibility period: September 4 at 09:00 UTC – September 11 at 09:00 UTC.
Accounts with login or activity records during this period are eligible.
Rewards are based on the highest difficulty and Act unlocked when maintenance begins. Each eligible account receives the corresponding reward once.
Material Chest Rewards
Normal: Normal Material Chest — Act 1 ×3 / Act 2 ×4 / Act 3 ×5 / Act 4 ×6
Hard: Intermediate Material Chest — Act 1 ×3 / Act 2 ×4 / Act 3 ×5 / Act 4 ×6
Nightmare: Advanced Material Chest — Act 1 ×3 / Act 2 ×4 / Act 3 ×5 / Act 4 ×6
Hell: Superior Material Chest — Act 1 ×3 / Act 2 ×4 / Act 3 ×5 / Act 4 ×6
For example, an account with Hell Act 2 unlocked receives 4 Superior Material Chests. These are the same Material Chests used for League ranking rewards.
Coin Rewards (Act 1 → Act 4)
Normal: 20,000 / 30,000 / 40,000 / 50,000
Hard: 60,000 / 70,000 / 80,000 / 90,000
Nightmare: 100,000 / 110,000 / 120,000 / 130,000
Hell: 140,000 / 160,000 / 180,000 / 200,000
How to Claim
Rewards will be delivered through the in-game Mailbox after maintenance. Coins and Material Chests may arrive in multiple messages.
Please claim them within 14 days. If your inventory is full, free some space and try again.

Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market will become available once maintenance is complete.
Free Trade Vessel slots unlock separately for each player based on their first login after the official release.
Slot 1: One week after your first login
Slot 2: Two weeks after your first login
The Market Slots Pack DLC is scheduled for release within 1–2 hours after the Market opens, provided no major issues are found.
Combat & Skill Balance

Extended the duration and reduced the cooldown of certain buff and debuff skills.
Reduced the HP and ATK of monsters in X-9 stages on Nightmare difficulty.
Standardized Life Steal and Healing DPS displays to use the amount of HP actually recovered.
Life Steal previously displayed the potential healing amount rather than the amount actually recovered.
Life Steal and Healing now both display DPS based on actual HP recovered.
Orbs, Star Chart & Passive Skills

Reworked the distribution of Defense and Elemental Resist effects among Orbs.
Replaced five Defense Orbs with Elemental Resist Orbs.
Increased the Defense gained per level from the remaining Defense Orbs.
Although the remaining Defense Orbs have been strengthened, replacing five of them means that the total Defense available from the entire Orb system is slightly lower than before.
Replaced the Taurus Star Chart’s fixed Defense effect with an All Elemental Resist effect.
Replaced the Knight passive skill’s Penetrate effect with an All Elemental Resist effect.
Any points invested in the former Penetrate passive will be reset during maintenance.
Gear, Enchanting & Blacksmith

Increased Gear, Engraving, and Enchant option values related to skill cooldown reduction, skill duration, and Elemental Resist.
Removed gear destruction from failed Enchant attempts.
Gear destruction chance: 50% → 0%
Enchant Scrolls will still be consumed when an Enchant attempt fails.
Enchants can no longer directly overwrite an existing Enchant on the same gear slot.
As with Engraving, the existing Enchant must be removed before applying another one.
Improved Auto Combine so that result grades and levels match manual Combine at the Blacksmith.
Increased Blacksmith crafting costs.
Reduced Boss Ticket drop rates.
UI, Help & Localization

Fixed an issue where Costume Collection difficulty locks were displayed incorrectly.
Clarified certain Hero skill descriptions to state that the effect increases the skill’s hit area rather than its cast range.
This is a text-only change. The actual effect remains unchanged.
Adjusted the touch area of the Sort button in the Bag.
Added troubleshooting guidance to the server connection error screen and corrected text in several languages.

Hell difficulty is scheduled to open early next week.

Market Slots Pack DLC

Adds 4 Trade Vessel slots
Launches alongside the Steam Community Market and is 10% off for the first 7 days
DLC slots have no waiting period and can be used immediately after purchase
Listing Slot Rules
The same rules apply to both free and DLC slots.
Once an item is listed, that slot remains reserved for at least 12 hours from the time of listing. Selling the item early does not make the slot available before the timer ends.
If the item remains unsold after 12 hours, it will continue occupying the slot until it is sold or withdrawn.
Higher Difficulty Update
We originally planned to release multiple higher difficulties before opening the Market.
However, recent balance adjustments following the buff and debuff duration fixes have created a larger progression gap between players than expected. We also believe the Market economy needs time to stabilize after launch.
For these reasons, we will not release several difficulties at once. We are currently planning to open Hell difficulty first sometime next week.

Maintenance & Update: Rewards, Automation, Gear and UI Improvements

These changes were previously announced on Discord, but were unintentionally omitted from today’s Steam release notes. We apologize for the confusion.
Some effects could remain active after their displayed duration ended. They now expire correctly:

Knight: Shield
Warrior: Reinforce, Reflect
Assassin: Fast
Archer: Drained
Mage: Ice Lake
Spider: Attack Speed reduction
Overlord of Death: Attack reduction
Troll Warchief and Anubis: Attack increases
This is not a direct balance change to skill values, enemy HP, or enemy Attack. However, clear times and difficulty may change where these effects previously remained active longer than intended.
Also fixed

Debuffs remaining active if an affected monster died before the effect expired.
Attack and debuff skills using outdated targets instead of checking targets within their own range.
Maintenance Schedule (45 minutes)

Progression, Rewards & Orbs

Adjusted stage boss Coin rewards by difficulty and increased act boss Coin rewards.
Some Coin effects from Orbs and the Cancer constellation now scale with base Coin rewards instead of adding fixed amounts.
Orb details now show the current effect, next-level effect, and Coin cost to upgrade.
Increased the Normal Chest and Stage Boss Chest drop-rate bonuses granted by Orbs.
Base offline Coin and EXP rewards are now 85% of online rewards. Orb and Star Chart bonuses apply separately.
Combat & Stages

Fixed an issue where clicking a portal while traveling on the world map moved you one stage too far. The server was already rejecting invalid clears and rewards caused by this issue.
After 10 consecutive defeats on the same stage, Automatic Challenge now moves you back one stage and turns off.
If Act Boss Chest storage fills up during an act boss challenge, Automatic Challenge turns off and moves you back to a lower stage.
Added an Automatic Challenge tooltip explaining how it works and when it stops.
Stage-clear logs now show the EXP actually earned.
Chests & Automation

Reduced chest auto-open wait times. Automation Pack owners receive a further 30% reduction.
Automation Pack owners can auto-open Normal Chests, Stage Boss Chests, and Act Boss Chests without purchasing the corresponding Orbs.
These chest benefits apply even when auto-sort, auto-combine, and auto-sell are inactive. Existing auto-open on/off settings for each chest type are preserved.
Improved Automation Pack log messages.
Chests now appear briefly before auto-opening. Auto-open progress remains fully charged while waiting for the server response.
Fixed an intermittent issue where auto-open timers failed to run.
Moved the auto-open toggle to the upper-right corner of each chest icon.
Fixed auto-sell grade settings preventing changes to auto-combine grades. When settings conflict, the most recent change takes priority. You’ll be notified if the other setting is adjusted or turned off.
Added explanations of grade-setting rules to the Combine and Sell tabs, with improved spacing and readability.
Gear Synthesis & Enchanting

The Mage Tower enchant success bonus now starts at Lv. 3 instead of Lv. 8, adding 0.5 percentage points per level. At Lv. 30, the bonus increases from +11.5 to +14 percentage points. Enchanting unlock requirements are unchanged.
When enchanting fails, the chance of gear being destroyed is reduced from 100% to 50%.
Clarified the gear synthesis guarantee text: “After accumulating 10 failures, your next synthesis is guaranteed to succeed.”
Made the synthesis and enchant result statistics buttons easier to identify. The English label changes from “Prob.” to “Stat.”.
Heroes, Pets & Tooltips

Attack ranges now vary by hero and skill. Added range information to skill descriptions.
Adjusted background frame colors to make active and passive skills easier to distinguish.
Added a red notification to the Hero panel’s class tab when stat points remain unspent.
Collection gear tooltips under Hero → Costume now list the stages where the gear can be obtained.
Pet descriptions now list the stages where the required monsters appear and clarify that ownership bonuses apply even when the pet is not equipped.
Added tooltips explaining each stat in the status panel.
UI, Launch & Connection Stability

Added window position locking and window size restoration to the quick menu opened by right-clicking the battle screen.
Fixed chest-related display errors in the game log.
Fixed temporary access restriction notices showing {0} instead of the remaining time.
The game can now recover from corrupted local settings by recreating the settings file. Some local preferences may reset, but progress saved on the server is unaffected.
Improved automatic game launch when your PC starts.
An update prompt now appears when needed. Older versions requiring a mandatory update must be updated before connecting.
Improved login and session renewal stability.
After Maintenance
Please fully close the game, update to the latest version through Steam, and reconnect. If you still cannot reconnect after updating, use Steam’s Verify integrity of game files option and try again.
