Here comes the first patch fixing some of the issues that our community brought to us these past two weeks.
Week 11 (beach) map bug: The hot fix previously available on the Beta version has been merged to the main branch. This is by all mean not the final fix for the issue as we are still working around it (a good Samaritan from the community helped us reproduce it) but it will help the few (yet very important to us) players facing the bug. If you wish to avoid it 100% make sure to select a location with someone the Saturday before the beach week! If you need more information please see the sticky on the discussion board.
Dean Oyama route: The route has been fixed and should be fully unlock-able (still a difficult character to date. :)
Evening beach background glitch: The default background has been set to a black screen. This fix might require a re-install as we still encountered on one machine the beach background.
Various route fixes: Some routes were fixed to make it easier.
Lesson fixes: Some typos in lessons white boards were fixed.
This is a small patch as we are working on five important version/improvement/fix for the game:
- A proper clean fix for the beach bug...we will eventually find the reason behind it!
- Memory management improvement: The game runs on asset streaming (no loading!) and we are looking at making it better. Most of background/music glitches are due to this, especially if you are skipping a lot.
- Save management: We are improving on the save system to encompass all settings as well as to fix the calendar bug (display April 4th after loading a game).
- Test system: We are improving on the test system (clear doubles, offer options of the same genre etc...), we already have a first pass but it still need refinement.
- Finally the MAC version. This is important for us as all major bug fixes will not have to be implemented twice a soon as we have both version aligned.
So what's next? An upcoming patch with more fixes, a beta version with the new test system and an overall quality of life patch after that!
