🔧 HOTFIX #2 - INVENTORY EXPANSION, PERFORMANCE, MONEY REWORK & MORE
Hey everyone!
Another hotfix is now live!
We've been going through your reports and feedback since release and this update addresses another batch of issues, while also introducing a few larger quality-of-life changes.
🎒 INVENTORY EXPANDED
One of the biggest changes in this update:
Your personal inventory has been expanded from 1 slot to 3 slots!
This should make carrying items around the boat considerably less frustrating while still keeping inventory management an important part of the game.
💰 NEW MONEY SYSTEM
We've also completely changed how money works.
Money is now a virtual currency, similar to repair materials.
It is no longer represented by physical items that need to be carried, stored or moved around the boat.
This should make buying things significantly more convenient and also eliminates several issues caused by physical money items.
⚡ PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
We've made another round of GPU and CPU optimizations, with particular focus on improving performance on lower-end PCs.
We've also optimized several heavier areas of the game, including:
- Storm Cave
- Elevator Cave
We'll continue working on performance based on your reports and hardware configurations.
🔧 HOTFIX CHANGES
- Expanded player inventory from 1 slot to 3 slots
- Additional GPU and CPU optimization, especially for lower-end PCs
- Fixed the spider being able to kill multiple players - it should now only kill its intended victim
- Additional fixes to the revive system
- Fixed several collision issues
- Added saving for items dropped on the boat - dropped items should now persist correctly
- Fixed an issue where dropped items could float or hover above the boat
- Fixed additional issues related to item saving
- Reworked money into a virtual currency instead of physical items
- Optimized the Storm Cave
- Optimized the Elevator Cave
- Added Manual Saving points on every checkpoint
📘 TUTORIALS ARE COMING
We've also heard your feedback regarding some mechanics not being explained clearly enough.
We're working on additional tutorials and clearer in-game guidance to make it easier for new players to understand the boat, repairs, items, objectives and other core systems without having to figure everything out on their own.
These improvements will be coming in future updates.
