Play Tethered WITHOUT VR!
We’ve been busy little sorcerers! Today's major update means you no longer need a Virtual Reality headset to play Tethered! This gorgeous game can now be enjoyed in ultra-shiny 2D or super immersive VR. Navigate your way around the beautiful sky-borne worlds in 2D in up to 4k/60f
We’ve been busy little sorcerers! Today's major update means you no longer need a Virtual Reality headset to play Tethered! This gorgeous game can now be enjoyed in ultra-shiny 2D or super immersive VR. Navigate your way around the beautiful sky-borne worlds in 2D in up to 4k/60fps using mouse and keyboard OR a gamepad. It’s the same incredibly engaging experience for a whole new set of prospective Spirit Guardians.
There's also a new dusk and dawn checkpoint style save game system, the ability to slow down or speed up time with the godly touch of a button, and a raft of other improvements.

Added non-VR mode with 2 control schemes (right stick or keyboard and mouse)
Added 4k @ 60Hz support (for non-VR play)
Added dusk/dawn savepoints to allow bite-sized play
Added slow motion (with zoom in non-VR) and fast forward feature
Updated tutorial and controller screens to support non-VR play
You can now play level 2 without completing the tutorial

We’re excited to reveal that we’ve been working on a major update for Tethered! Here’s a quick heads-up on some of the things you can expect: Non-VR Play – To complement the fully immersive VR experience, non-VR gamers will be able to join the quest to save the helpless Peeps fro
We’re excited to reveal that we’ve been working on a major update for Tethered! Here’s a quick heads-up on some of the things you can expect:

Non-VR Play – To complement the fully immersive VR experience, non-VR gamers will be able to join the quest to save the helpless Peeps from Despair and restore balance to their wonderful sky-borne lands!
Checkpoint Saves – Responding to community feedback (and acknowledging that – much to the Peep’s dismay - we can’t all be full time Spirit Guardians), the game will save your progress at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk.
Time Control – Whether you need to slow things down to bring order to your world, or you just want to step up the pacing a little, you’ll soon have the ability to control the passage of time at your fingertips!
This awesome (and totally free) update will be arriving in April. Please join us in spreading the word as we prepare to welcome a new wave of Spirit Guardians to the magical and immersive world of Tethered.
