Here is a summary of the currently known game issues. The Polaris Institute is actively working to resolve them. Please take note of the following:
1. Sealed Eggs from the Closed Beta claimed through the Bonded Promise Event have an issue with their Innate Potential data. The related claim entry has been temporarily closed and will reopen once the issue is fixed.
2. Some visual effects may display abnormally when entering Astra for the first time.

To provide a better experience, Polaris Institute will continue to improve the game and address any issues identified. The fixes included in this update are as follows:
1. Fixed an issue where some Pathfinders may experience abnormal damage values during combat.
2. Fixed an issue where the interface may have displayed abnormally when entering Home.
3. Fixed an issue where some Pathfinders may have experienced repeated disconnections and reconnections during client lag.
4. Fixed an issue where "Prismatic Kite Flowers" were not properly counted under certain conditions.
5. Fixed an issue where incorrect prompt messages were shown when the "Home" season feature had not reached the required level to unlock.
6. Fixed a black screen issue when returning to "Design Workshop" from the Shop interface.
7. Fixed an issue where the like-related buttons disappeared on the photo interface.
8. Fixed occasional Abnormal Status operations during the "Aniimo Management" tutorial.
9. Fixed an issue where certain items purchased on Xbox and Xbox PC were not delivered properly.
10. Fixed a series of line break errors, text truncation, and layout Abnormal Status issues in certain interface texts across multiple language versions, including German, French, Russian, Spanish, and Japanese.
1. Improved the item quality of "Gift of Encounter."
2. Optimized the gifting rewards and feature descriptions for "Gift of Affection" and "Gift of Celebration."

1. Is account data shared across PC, console, and mobile?
Data on different servers is independent. Game progress is fully shared across all platforms within the same server.
2. I used a Steam account in a previous beta test, but now I’ve logged into Aniimo with a different email account. Can my test rewards carry over to the new email account? Yes. You can link your Steam account to your Aniimo Pass email account.
Download the Steam client, and after logging in you’ll be prompted to link an Aniimo Pass email account. You can complete the link right there. If you skip this step and go straight into the game, you can link later through the in-game [Email Link] page.

It’s been an honor, over the past year and beyond, to share Aniimo’s first reveal and the three tests that followed with all of you. From our first meeting to every encounter across each test, we’ve heard a lot of love, and plenty of honest frustration too. Thank you, truly, for taking the time to tell us what Aniimo looks like through your eyes, and for your support and patience all this way. Today, we’d like to make it official once more: Aniimo launches worldwide on PC, console, and Xbox cloud gaming on September 16, with the mobile version arriving September 23. We are all super stoked to finally get to meet you in Idyll!
Over the past year, one question has come up again and again from media and players alike: why make a game like Aniimo at all? The answer is actually pretty simple. Before we were developers, we were players. Like so many of you, we grew up on creature-collecting games, and we fell in love with the companions that stayed by our side through them. We’ve all trekked halfaway across game world just to meet one creature we adored. We’ve all had a chance encounter that kept us smiling for days. And somewhere in the back of our minds, one simple thought never quite went away: what if I didn’t just adventure with these creatures—what if I could really meet them, understand them, even become them, and see the world the way they do?
That thought became the seed for everything: a vast open-world adventure across Idyll, a story of exploration that takes you from the touch of a paw to the heart of the world. In the beginning, all we built was a world for the Aniimo to live in. But as we kept creating, ideas started springing up out of that world on their own. Their families, their quirks, how they got along with each other, all their odd little behaviors. Piece by piece, it all took shape. And sometimes, the strangest feeling would creep in: it didn’t feel like we were designing these Aniimo anymore. It felt like we were discovering them. The Emberpups who trail devotedly after their leader. The Nimbis drifting lazily over the grasslands. The Susutas who pile onto the beach to play in crowds. As each one came into focus, we’d catch ourselves thinking: of course. That’s exactly what they’re supposed to be like. That's why we love Aniimo.
The joy was never just in inventing creature after creature—it was in walking through a world like Idyll and finding them there, one step at a time. Stumbling onto a family you’d never met, an Aniimo you’d never seen. Noticing the funny relationships between them, realizing this world is so full of stories. That joy of discovery is what we want to pass on to you. We hope that when you set foot in Idyll, you’ll start with your own footsteps and eventually leave paw prints no one else could leave. And to everyone who’s ever dreamed of adventuring alongside creatures as wondrous as the Aniimo: Idyll is waiting, and so are the encounters meant for you.
So what kind of game is Aniimo, really? For those of you about to set foot in Idyll for the first time, we’d like to take this chance to introduce the adventure that awaits you there.
Everyone who comes to Idyll becomes a "Pathfinder," gaining an incredibly unique ability. Because here, you don’t just have an Aniimo. You can become one. By establishing bonds and twining with Aniimo, you’ll not only fight at their side and unravel the world’s mysteries, you’ll also actually join their families, and come to know the stories playing out between them. And most importantly, you can step into an Aniimo’s point of view—seeing the whole continent again through their eyes, their wings, their senses.
All across Idyll, countless Aniimo of every form, temperament, and habit live freely, each with their own families and their own way of life. When you meet them, we hope you’ll see more than something to put in the index. We hope you’ll see a life that actually belongs here. That’s why the journey at the heart of Aniimo was never about grinding stages and ticking off a checklist. It’s about walking into a living, breathing world and writing your own stories alongside the creatures who call it home.
Where does the journey end? That’s an answer we’d rather leave to each Pathfinder. Perhaps you’ll become the professor who’s cataloged every Aniimo, or perhaps the undisputed champion of Aniimo battles. Perhaps you’ll become Idyll’s greatest treasure hunter, a master gardener, a home design genius... How you play and who you become are entirely up to you. Our story begins the moment palm meets paw print.
From the very first sketches of Idyll, we wanted Aniimo to be an adventure we finished together with our players. Every test has been a chance for us to see the game with new eyes, for you to discover new content and systems, and for us to take a hard look at what we’d built.
When the most recent test wrapped up, we went through everything carefully: the praise and the anticipation, and the blunt, unsparing criticism too. We want the changes themselves to prove a point: what you said didn’t just sit in forums, group chats, and feedback forms. Here’s some of what has already landed in the launch version.
The Irisalis Catching Experience
In earlier tests, many Pathfinders who met Irisalis told us the same story: throwing ball after ball got dull fast, and stacking the entry cost and repeated throws on top of pure luck turned a legendary encounter into a draining chore. Looking back, we saw the problem clearly. We’d hoped randomness would make meeting a Legendary Aniimo feel like a challenge—but we’d overlooked some players’ experiences, and this repetitiveness made the experience less immersive of what we set out to create.
For launch, we’ve redesigned the entire process of obtaining Irisalis around three things: how you reach it, how it plays, and how the encounter itself feels. This design will be the template for every Legendary Aniimo encounter to come.
How you reach it: No more repeating the challenge in the hope of a successful catch. Collect legendary tokens through world exploration and story progress, craft your own personal Legendary Aniipod, and unlock Irisalis’s exclusive story.
How it plays: Token collecting is incorporated into everyday exploration and catching, so progress builds naturally as you adventure.
How the encounter feels: Once your Legendary Aniipod is crafted, the exclusive encounter appears on the map. Enter the battle, follow the story, defeat the Legendary Aniimo, and throw the Aniipod you made to seal your bond with Irisalis. This encounter only happens once, so make it count.
Changes to Acquiring and Encountering Prismana Aniimo
The base chance of triggering Prismana Aniimo through nurturing is now flat, removing the early-game probability decay from low Prismatic Energy (every nurturing now has the same chance of triggering Prismana Flow). The guarantee system remains.
A new lucky strike mechanic has been added to catching. Lucky strikes grant item rewards, increase the area’s Prismatic Energy, and have a chance to directly trigger Prismana Flow, attracting Prismana Aniimo.
Wild Surges triggered through ecosystem nurturing now offer a chance to encounter Umbral Aniimo, who have Perfect Potential and distinctive coloration. Umbral Aniimo can also be encountered by chance in the open world.
Offering quality no longer affects Wild Surge quality. Ecosystem nurturing now grants a fixed amount of Prismatic Energy.
Spawn rules for season-exclusive Prismana Aniimo have been reworked, with clearer, more intuitive trigger conditions.
Easier Aniimo Training
The Carried Item system has been simplified: random rune slots are gone, and the rune system has been removed entirely.
Legendary Star Dust output has been increased. Capability Awakening for Aniimo below Lv. 60 can now be reset at any time, with the training items returned.
Capability caps now unlock gradually with Aniimo level and Resonance star rank, easing early progression pressure.
Capafruit effects now transfer automatically between Aniimo during inheritance, so switching which Aniimo you raise no longer requires the same investment all over again.
Home Improvements
The RV upgrade experience has been improved, with adjusted upgrade times to ease resource shortages after upgrades.
The Home has expanded into a multi-area map with house building and a large selection of new furniture. Interior decorating will continue to be improved.
Order refresh logic has been improved, with more order variety.
Furniture groups can now be shared via codes, and multi-select limits have been raised.
New interactive furniture has been added, and some pieces can now be placed and used out in the open world.
Home Aniimo have new idle AI behaviors, improved work logic, and a new petting interaction.
Unused furniture can be sold back at a discount through the Co-op Store.
RV dispatches now have a chance to produce Aniimo eggs with the Prismana trait.
New Home season events offer season-exclusive furniture and formulas.
New soil-tilling social interaction: till the soil at another Pathfinder’s Home to earn a share of their harvest.
Other Improvements
Improved controls on mobile devices and with controllers.
Multi-language voiceover added to the main story, with improved translation quality across all languages.
Aniimo caught with a Sparkling Cube now have guaranteed Perfect Potential.
Operation: Egg Heist has been substantially improved, with more obtainable egg types and a new high-difficulty Chaos Mode. PvP event modes will continue to be refined.
Spawn rates for high-Potential 9/9 and 10/10 wild Aniimo have been increased.
Journey quest guidance has been rebuilt, fixing vague requirements and progression blockers.
New Pathfinder Challenge rematches, plus AI teammate support for Holo-Battle Interlink.
The player character’s look has been refined, alongside improved NPC models, animations, and expressions.
Through every test, you’ve spoken up. And whether it came as criticism or encouragement, every word you’ve shared has been precious to us. In what you’ve told us, we’ve come to see your standards for quality, your love and support for Aniimo, as well as your doubts and disappointments. So in the days ahead, we hope you’ll keep telling us what you think and what you hope for. If Aniimo is going to become a genuinely great game, it can’t be built on the dev team’s judgment alone. Selected Pathfinders will be notified via email. The official website will also offer a eligibility check function. Please follow future announcements for the release time and details.
4. How do I download the game after being selected?
The download link for the Global Closed Beta test will be sent to the email you provided in the questionnaire, together with your access notification.
On the same day, the official channels will also publish download instructions and FAQs.

But like I said in my “A Critic’s Guide to Game Design By Inspiration,” I’m always happy to see new developers make games inspired by popular franchises if they can bring something new to the mix.
Spending hands-on time with Aniimo offered some valuable insight into its direction. The game is clearly inspired by Pokémon, but it leans into that influence in distinctive ways rather than attempting a simple imitation. What stood out most was how closely its design philosophy aligns with the Pokémon Legends titles rather than the mainline entries. That approach opens up several promising and enjoyable directions for the series to explore.
