Today we're bringing another patch for How to Fish, mainly for increased stability and extra platform support.

Added option to use toggle for aiming
Added option to use toggle for sprinting
Added option to hold to attack
Added option to toggle nametags
CHANGES
Save files are now always checked that they're not corrupt before loading
Save files now have backups in case of becoming corrupt
Slightly moved roulette table on island 6 as it was a bit annoying to bet in that position
Changed color for item dots to make dropped weapons easier to find (weapons are now orange and dead players are turquoise)
You will now die from your own explosives even with friendly fire disabled
Removed iron sight as a purchasable since players only ever bought them by mistake, removing their expensive attachments
You can no longer downgrade from suppressor to compensator
FIXED
Hopefully fixed inventory bug on join, making players invisible
Fixed so that items need to have been held once before selling
Fixed drip parrotfish not being cooked
Fixed hands sometimes teleporting instead of moving smoothly to a picked up item
Restart Steam for update : )

Biggest patch yet! : )
FANART POSTING
Created a new channel just for fanart in the community discord. You are very welcome to post any fanart of How to Fish, we'd love to see it! (props to borgus18 for patch splash art)
NEW
Weapons and tools now get cleaned from cooking when dipped in water
Items dropped on the ground are now saved between sessions (up to 64 total items, prioritizing weapons, tools, quest items and creatures)
CHANGES
Nerfed anglerfish slightly since it was too annoying with a lot of health
FIXED
Fixed beer bleeding when punched
Fixed a bug where you could die by tuna, spawn albatross and become unable to respawn
"Last played" saved in UTC but didnt convert to localtime, displaying the wrong time.
No more rich text in chat since griefers were exploiting it
Limited max velocity on explosions so items don't fly so far that they dissapear
Fixed a bug where things broke if a player and a seagull picked up an item at the same time
Fixed infinite ticking on roulette table when at high values
Roulette ball should hopefully not clip through the wheel anymore
Now prints game version number in player.log for easier debugging
Increased time allowed to connect, hopefully lowering risk of being disconnected instantly
Fixed a bug where if you left while playing roulette it broke for the next session
Hopefully fixed items spawning far away when equipping one from the inventory
No longer shows item dots while in end game screen
Removed X marker on the radar (it was the position where you last died, but was just confusing)
Hopefully fixed items falling through the level when loading a game or joining a lobby

Some more bugfixes and additional settings for the game : )

Added option to change difficulty both in the main menu and in-game. Default setting is same as previous, but now also has easy and hard mode.
Easy mode: All creatures have 25% less health and does 50% less damage.
Hard mode: All creatures have 25% more health and does 25% more damage.
Added a short Steam connection debug in the main menu to show if connection fails when initializing. If the Steam relay text becomes red, check the #common-bugs channel in the Community Discord for guides on how to fix it.
Fixes
Hopefully fixed save files being corrupted. If you're still having problems with loading saves or game crashing when equipping weapons, you can head to the Community Discord to see how to remove them.
Our Community Discord also has a lot of tips & tricks for defeat bosses/finishing achievements and other players if you're looking for someone to play with : )

Now checks save file before trying to load, no longer causing fake servers being displayed with the name "Game Name"
No longer saves server or local when application crashes. It now instead saves when the user presses the Save-, Main Menu- and Quit-button. They are still autosaved every minute so you don't lose that much progress even if you crash.

Slightly bigger patch than last time, fixing some bugs and adding some QoL options

Added option to change session type in server settings while in-game (requires restart after changing)

Changed minimum locked fps 50 -> 30
Fixes
Fixed a bug where you were able to travel to any island without unlocking them (sorry speedrunners)
Fixed a bug where skins in the slotmachines were invisible while rolling when playing with 4K resolution
Fixed a bug where the achievement that you've found all drip creatures wouldn't unlock until next drip. Making you have to find all + 1 instead of just all
Fixed so that griefers no longer can instantly end the game when joining

Fixes
(Hopefully!) Fixed blackscreen when trying to join lobby
(Hopefully!) Fixed grayscreen when starting the game by not trying to force fullscreen-mode
Fixed permanent boss timer on screen sometimes showing
Fixed underwater effects in main menu when leaving while underwater
Fixed permanent revive text when dead player self-revives while being held
No longer allows special characters in server names since it breaks the save file
Fixed achievement to kill final boss with bare hands for everyone
