Having transparency as an important pillar of our relationship with our community, we would like to inform you with this update, we fixed several minor bugs and removed the current online leaderboard feature.
Our story with Horizon Chase started back in 2015. Since then, we have been updating our game with new features, DLCs, and community suggestions. We tried our best to make this game solid and available to everyone on different platforms. The story of our company will be forever marked by our relationship with this game.
However, now it’s time to look to the future.
We have a limited amount of resources, and they’re all aimed at our new projects. As you probably know, we launched Horizon Chase 2 on a mobile platform last year, and we’re working our best to make it available on other platforms. Now, it’s time to optimize the work of our team and let Horizon Chase Turbo thrive throughout the years more sustainably.
This final patch will bring everything we consider important for the game in the long term. Our community can be assured that we will come back and fix major relevant bugs (if they appear), but we are making a commitment to the future and letting our past solidify in our memories.
For this reason, it’s important to highlight: with this patch, all online leaderboards are removed. Players can still see their personal times, but they won’t be able to see their friends' and the global top performances. This is a way to reduce the maintenance of the game.
Although we won’t have it in-game anymore, we understand the value of this feature for a race and competitive game. For this reason, we will create a community leaderboard section on our Discord server and we will host the top times from our community in a new and collaborative way - where the players can manage and validate the best times. We know that this will not replace the original experience, but we are aiming to provide a fair way to compare the best times from our most-engaged players.
Also, the Discord server will be our definitive place for franchise fans. Not only will it have the new upcoming events of Horizon Chase 2, but we will make sure that Horizon Chase Turbo will have its space, and we still have some super secret skin codes to share with you all.

Horizon Chase Turbo has been around for three years now, and it’s been an amazing ride for us. Prior to that, Horizon Chase - World Tour goes even back, to 2015, when we were focused on mobile gaming.
So much has happened since then, and you’ve all been with us throughout all these years. We’ve had more than 80 different playgrounds for you to race on, new DLCs like Summer Vibes and Rookie Series - which, we must mention, was focused on welcoming new players to the Arcade Racer genre as a whole, we really liked that one - and Devs’ Hometown, which was a totally free content and inspired by, well guessed, our hometown.
In 2021, we’ve released our largest expansion to date, Senna Forever, a homage to Ayrton Senna - an iconic Brazilian driver who was so important to the racing history - as a Brazilian developer ourselves, it goes without saying that it hits extremely close to home and emotional to us, especially for the fact that the game was partnered up with Ayrton Senna Institute, helping its educational programs along the way.
Because of that, the “labor of love” category just hits different, Horizon Chase has always been our deepest expression of love and care for a whole community of arcade racers out there, but now it’s so much more and it’s amazing to see it growing after all those years.

For a short while I had a very specific obsession with early 90s F1 console games - partly because it's often acknowledged as a golden age of the sport and partly because there were so damn many of the things at the time. Super Monaco GP! Satoru Nakajima F1 Hero! Super F1 Circus! Nigel Mansell's World Championship! Of the vast glut of them that crowded shelves back then it was always Exhaust Heat that was something of a favourite, its Mode 7-powered take on the 1992 season surprisingly authentic (plus I'll never forget the car journey home from a Slough shopping centre clutching the box in the back seat, the passing street lights occasionally illuminating the glorious airbrushed cover art).
It's one of the first comparison points that comes to mind when playing Horizon Chase Turbo's outstanding Ayrton Senna expansion. To call it an expansion is a bit of a disservice, really - this takes on the 1991 season with some authenticity, featuring recognisable tracks as well as recognisable takes on iconic liveries like Minardi's black and yellow or the aquamarine blue of March, but it takes on Senna's debut season at Toleman, his short but glorious tenure at Team Lotus as well as his breakout championship year in 1988. There is a lot of video game here, and the detail within is - to an old F1 head old enough to have been to Silverstone to see Senna in his 90s prime - absolute manna.
It's given me the excuse to get properly into Horizon Chase Turbo too, a game I've always been encouraged to try by others but have never really fallen for. It's an extremely stylish, generous and competent take on classic arcade racers of the 80s and 90s, but the hook was never really there for me - until this Senna Forever expansion, that is, but it's worth noting that there's more than just fan service for elderly motorsport fans that make this so compelling. The first-person mode that's been added for this expansion lends the action a sense of urgency that's lacking a little elsewhere, though it's also helped put Horizon Chase Turbo's other charms into sharper focus. Here's a racer that's both challenging and calming, and if other racing games gets you into the zone by putting your reaction and concentration to the test, Horizon Chase Turbo sort of lulls you into that same place.

Play in 5 different chapters, each with a set number of key races based on his life career - oh, there are also his own achievements, which we call Senna’s Marks, that you can complete here as well!

For the first time ever, you’ll get to feel the heat of the moment from the inside of a cockpit in Horizon Chase Turbo with this brand-new first-person view, a feature exclusive to this expansion.
Race Strategies
Normally, in Horizon Chase Turbo, you’d have a selection of cars to choose from. Only this time, you’re Senna, so you’re using cars inspired by the ones he drove. To maintain the strategy, there’s a new mechanic before each game where you’ll have to pick your focus: Enhanced Tires, Advanced Aerodynamics, or Special Fuel.

Of course new cars are also coming! There are 6 new ones coming to the Career Mode and also 34 different other playable cars to choose from on Championship Mode. Fancy, huh?
Championship Mode
If you’re worried about the replayability of this game, the Championship Mode has you covered. There’s 18 different teams to choose from and more than 30 cars to unlock. There are three categories depending on what kind of challenge you’re looking for and also randomized competitors, tracks and weather so you’ll never know what’s coming.
Local Multiplayer
If you already play Horizon Chase Turbo, this might be an old acquaintance for you. But if you don’t, maybe you remember, as kids, when we used to all sit together on the couch to play, right? That feeling is brought back in this expansion! You can play Horizon Chase Turbo: Senna Forever with up to 4 local players, also with randomized stuff from the Championship Mode. Horizon Chase Turbo has reached its third year and it’s been quite a ride: countless playgrounds, numerous skins, new tracks, and will bring even more content to you. Since the launch in 2018, we had never done a price adjustment, and we noticed in some currencies our game was below what we believe it’s fair.
That said, we are realizing a price adjustment for Horizon Chase Turbo in some countries on June 14th. The change should not impact most of you, since you likely already own the game. We reinforce that the base game price in USD will remain the same.
