It's with a heavy heart we are forced to announce that Revolution Virtual Playspace will be delisted from steam due to server hosting security updates that have left the old server code unfunctional.
We have reviewed the code and without a complete rewrite to update the game for a new server backend like Mirrior, the game will no longer function. And being over a decade old with many new tabletop virtual playspace options out there, this isn't something we can complete without large financial investment which is beyond the indie studios means.
Thank you for being part of our journey, R:VPS was built in a time where there were minimal ways to play online with your friends and we are happy to see that playing tabletop games with your friends online has been made much more accessible for everyone over the last 10 years.
The server hosting company has already applied the security updates, and the R:VPS server is now offline. I wish we had more of a warning, but this was an unexpected result of the security updates.
