Fire Spirit is a free upgrade for Aritana and the Harpy’s Feather. This additional content includes improvements in graphics, mechanical controls, input system and control recognition, a new and harder game mode, a new interface and a new power that gives the name to the update pack. The main goal of the update is to increase players’ accessibility and improve the game experience as a whole!

:muiraquita: NEW COMBO SYSTEM
It became obvious to us how much the combo system was not clear to players. The result was that the system was put aside until the end of the experiment, when in fact it should be a support system.
The solution was to review the interface and, without being obvious or easily guiding the player, implement a new system. Now, every time an attack is successful, an attack symbol will appear in the upper left corner of the screen and it will accumulate as new attacks appear. Even if the player does not understand it at first, this system will be present throughout the game and the pieces will fall into place even for the most inattentive player.
For the duty collectors or those with short memory, we also included a Combo List that can be accessed at any time by pausing the game. This list shows which Combos Aritana has, how many are still missing, their sequence of attacks and their awards. Low on energy? Lives are running out? See what combos you own and execute some to save your skin!

Now, at any time of the game, the player can check a new interface that shows some attributes of the Magic Staff. The interface will provide information such as unlocked powers, how many powers remain to be unlocked, the current Staff format (which can take three different formats) and its current level. The level is what dictate how close the Staff is to unleash the power of the Spirit of Fire! This interface can be viewed at any time by pausing the game or through a Power Totem. This way the player can see his achievements and how much he grew strong since the beginning of the journey, and how he can become even more powerful! But what the Spirit of Fire adds when the maximum level of the Staff is reached?
Starting at level 1, the Staff can reach the maximum level of 10, thus releasing Aritana’s Spirit of Fire. However, how the Staff’s level can be raised? There are two ways to raise the level of the Magic Staff. The first and simplest way is to release new powers to it using the Power Totems that are scattered through stages. The second way is by finding combos through stages. Every stage has a hidden combo, and with every three new combos the Magic Staff will receive a new level. When the Spirit of Fire is released, Aritana becomes much more powerful spiritually and can face any spirit, independent of its color. Thorns and shields are still dangerous, but Red Spirits will no longer be invincible!
:muiraquita: EASIER? NO... DEFINITELY NOT!
With the Spirit of Fire update bringing many innovations to increase player’s accessibility; it is possible that some will think that the game became easier. In a way, the game is easier, but only to demystify some mechanics that were more hindering than helping and to better show what must be done – all this without taking away the challenge that the game always had and continues to have. However, our new game mode does just the opposite! Once the game is finished for the first time, you can start a new game in Hard Mode at any game slot (or on top of the previous, erasing any progress). In this new mode, the most experienced player will have his skills tested to the max!
