Who would have thought… we are doing a Reddit AMA about Detective Case and Clown Bot games, as well as overall Nerd Monkeys’ related stuff.
This feels a little bit weird because we’re so used to answering questions nobody asked us that usually escalates to security “inviting us” to leave the premises. This might actually be an interesting first! Are you as excited as we are? Can you ask us important and relevant questions or will we be bored to death?
The link to access it will be ama.nerdmonkeys.pt but it only becomes accessible 30 minutes before it starts. However, you can and should visit it so you can add it to your calendar. ;)
We are counting on the community to receive lots of interesting questions… and please… pleaaaaase don’t ask us where all the teeth are.

Here are 3 of main things we did to our 4 year old game:Controller support
You can now use a controller! Weird, right? After all, this is a "point'n'click" game, what happens when we ad controller support? I tell you what, nothing happens. It's just controller support! :)New engine
The Express Killer is built on GMS 2.0 but Murder in the Hotel Lisbon is still in the old GMS 1.4 So we decided it would be great to push into the new one, this way we manage to keep up the support with newer chipsets and the game continues to run smoothly.More bugs crushed
It sound weird but in the middle of all this we found more bugs! Amazing, right? Not really. We hate it. Specially me. I thought they were all squashed, but moving engines and adding controller support means new bugs. So, more play testing and more QA to get everything tight and nice. Oh well...Anyway, have fun with the new version. It should feel like a slicker faster version of the original, perfect for speed runs... ;)

We know most of you already finished the game and are eager to play the sequel, but this is quite an important update.So, we grabbed all the work we were doing with the sequel and pushed it back into the original, not only because we care but also to keep everything up to parity with the features we are bringing into the sequel. This means new things for our 4 year old adventure.
Controller support
You can now use a controller! Weird, right? After all, this is a "point'n'click" game, what happens when we had controller support? I tell you what, nothing happens. It's just controller support :)New engine

Hey there fellow detectives!
Long time no see! How are your crime solving skills going!?
Argh... who are we kidding... Look, it has been a long time and this patch is 2 years too late, we know, ok!? No more excuses, here are the patch notes:- English revision. Somebody took the time to sit down and review it. Mistakes were corrected, bad jokes were reviewed and some other oddities cleaned. STILL. There might be a few mistakes hidden somewhere. Please let us know and we will fix it asap. We also promise to hire a professional team to translate the next game we release.
- Steam Cloud. We now support it. Well, it worked on our end so it should work on yours, right?
- Screenshots. They work! How amazing is that? It was such a silly thing that we are ashamed to even talk about it.
- Bugs squashed. Lot's of them. We read all of the complaints, put the game on a lot of people hands, and tested it all again. Let's hope that final interview thing and the Stand Up Clown thing doesn't pop up again.
Finally we need to let you know that we will be on top of things so, if you see any other issues, please let us know.

Of course one of them is the new episode of Detective Case and Clown Bot, The Express Killer.The Express Killer has been coming along really well and we should (finally) be able to announce a release date around September.
And for those of you who don't know already, this episode will be completely free to all those who bought the original already :)Thanks again for all the support.
