Zafehouse Diaries is back! But, before we start our journey into a new, zombie-encrusted narrative, we need your help to test the technical aspects of the game.

Special demo builds of Zafehouse Diaries 2 for Windows and Mac have been made available (download links provided below), so we can make sure the game runs correctly on as many systems as possible.
As such, we're focusing on feedback regarding problems with graphics, audio, input and anything else related to actually running the game.
If you do hit something, we'd also appreciate a run-down of your computer's specifications, e.g. CPU, video card, amount of RAM, operating system and version (including service packs) and display resolution.
Please note the tech demo isn't representative of the final release (we're still adding a few bits and pieces) and comes with the following restrictions:

The game will end after 3 days of in-game time.
Limited to 3 survivors (custom or random).
Only the tutorial scenario, "Safe As Houses", is available.
Some dilemmas, events and modifiers disabled.
Item editor is disabled.

Last week, we looked at relationships. This week, we'll take a look at one of the most fundamental features in Zafehouse Diaries: dilemmas.
In the original game, dilemmas added drama to your story. Some were minor - do you trade your medicine for food? - while others could result in sacrificing one of your survivors.
In Zafehouse Diaries 2, we've made dilemmas more interesting, fun and varied.

More dilemmas: There are many more dilemmas in ZD2 - deal with the mob, the military, experimenting scientists and more
Varied outcomes: Dilemmas can have positive, neutral or negative outcomes, depending on your choices
Smarter options: Sometimes more than two options will be available, giving you greater control over how you respond
More predictable: Clearly see which options are supported by your survivors
Finally, dilemmas aren't just about making the best decision in the moment. A dilemma only appears because your survivors can't agree on what to do - and when you make a decision, not everyone may not like it.
If survivors feel like the world is against them - that their opinions aren't being heard - they'll become demotivated. On the other hand, agreeing with a survivor can help spur them.
Always remember that dilemmas have many layers and the obvious answer may not be the best.

Last week, we looked at relationships. This week, we'll take a look at one of the most fundamental features in Zafehouse Diaries: dilemmas.
In the original game, dilemmas added drama to your story. Some were minor - do you trade your medicine for food? - while others could result in sacrificing one of your survivors.
In Zafehouse Diaries 2, we've made dilemmas more interesting, fun and varied.

This week, we're talking about survivors and relationships. This was a core concept in the original game, and we're going to improve on it.
Here's a rundown of the new survivor screen:

Visible skills: You can now see exactly how your survivors will perform on various tasks
Injuries: Easily see what kind of injuries your survivors have, and how they affect their skills
Modifiers: Browse any special bonuses or penalties affecting the survivor
Equipment: That's right, you can now assign survivors an item and protective gear that they will always use
But Zafehouse Diaries is all about relationships. Your five survivors will need to work together if they're going to make it out alive.

Friendlier groups: If survivors aren't prejudiced, they're less likely to turn on each other
Redemptions: Prejudiced relationships can tear the group apart. Now, survivors can redeem themselves and permanently remove prejudices
Tight bonds: Give your survivors closer relationships - they'll stick together and help one another, even if they're unhappy
Group control: Customise all relationships and prejudices to exactly how you want them

Zafehouse Diaries is back! The cult hit from 2012 is now bigger, better and more terrifying than ever. Take control of a group of people - each with their own skills, motivations and prejudices - and try to survive the zombie apocalypse.

Every story is unique: Each game is procedurally generated - will your survivors work well together and complete their objectives?
Ordinary people, extraordinary situations: Keep your survivors happy and motivated, or they'll turn on each other.
All new engine: Zafehouse Diaries has been upgraded in every way. Full widescreen support, high resolution, a 3D environment and multi-platform support.
More of everything: Loads of new items, orders, events, occupations, dilemmas and scenarios.
Increased control: Equip your survivors and determine how they defend and breach locations.
We've also refined the relationship system so you can have more ways to change survivor interactions. We've replaced the rumour system with redemptions - one survivor can do certain tasks to 'redeem' themselves in the eyes of another, which removes a prejudice.
At its core, Zafehouse Diaries 2 is the same strategic drama simulator as the original, but it expands on it in every way: added content, upgraded engine, more surprises, more madness.
