Trajectory updated, the line now clips on first hit for better control
Camp choice updated. Now you can select Card Removal, Gain 25% HP, or Loot
MiniBoss now spawns from floor 5 and onward. It no longer appears too early or on treasure floor 8
Music default volume lowered for a better streamer experience
Peg bounce default lowered for more controlled shots
Vampire bug fixed. A soft lock could occur if the projectile left the board
Vampire paddle now shrinks with each hit for added difficulty
Vampire bounce now reacts to paddle location and paddle movement speed
Casino of Broken Dreams now has a sound indicator for the Unknown

Here comes a small update that brings one new peg board to conquer, along with several usability improvements and minor fixes.

New Peg Board! One more strategic layout to master.
Improvements & Fixes

Card Listing UI: Smaller cards in rows of five in card listing, for better overview.
Inventory Usability: The “Use” button now only appears when an item can actually be used.
World Map UX: Mouse wheel scrolling is now disabled when popups are open, to avoid accidental map movement.
Editor: Game keyboard shortcuts disabeled in editor mode.
Localizations: Human translations for Chinese traditional, Chinese Simplified, Japanese and Korean.
We've just recently split the demo into its own app, so you can now leave a review. Thanks for playing and keep sending us feedback, it really helps shape the game.

I have been terrible at posting proper release logs and have been silently launching updates in the wolf hour instead. But here is a big update on what has been implemented. (TL;DR at the top, full details below)
I finally had time to polish the visuals and really unify the game’s look. The new style is darker, a little rougher, and much closer to the vibe we originally imagined. Several streamers and testers pointed out the background art as a highlight, so I decided to fully commit to that style.
Last but not least, big thanks to the roguelike deckbuilding community for all the feedback and ideas. Stuff like the Plushie, Fly Agaric, and Red Pepper exist because of you, keep the ideas and feedback coming and help shape the game before launch, it's closing in fast.
TL;DR

Visual Overhaul: The game now has a darker, rougher, and more cohesive art style with refreshed characters, environments, and UI to match the gothic-cartoon vibe.
5 New Locations and lore: Explore The Dumping Grounds, Crimson Ruin, Red Lake, Moons Hollow, and Hanging Rock.
New Relics and Cards: Tons of new relics and cards to experiment with, including fun effects like summoning a cat, detonating grenades, and raising max HP.
Status Effects Expanded: New mechanics like Strong, Angry, Poisoned, Vulnerable, and more to spice up combat.
Board Editor: Create and play your own custom boards.
Quality of Life Improvements: Better tooltips, mouseover effects, and keybinding options.
Fixes and Stability: Smoother performance, better UI interactions, and bug fixes.

Always Gary: Adds Gary to every battle. The more the merrier.
Extra Wallet: Increases wallet by 1000. A portable treasure chest.
Plushie: Transfers 10 percent shield to the next round. Early days comfort.
Brass Knuckles: When dealing a new hand of cards, deals 100 damage to all enemies. A hand for a hand.
Clover: On board refresh, gain 30 shield. Lucky you.
Vampire Fang: When a monster is killed, gain 25 HP. Soul sip.
Cherry: Raises max HP by 100. The cherry on top.
Green Egg: Monsters spawn with 1 poison. A slightly cursed breakfast.
Shop Discount: Adds 10 percent to your shop discount. Shop till you drop.
Fortune Cookie: Transfers remaining mana to the next round. A bright future.
Pickaxe: On wall hit, hit one peg and restore one peg. Mine those walls.
New Cards

Gemstone: On peg hit, damage increases by 1. Shimmers mystically.
Grenade: Explodes. On peg hit, deals 10 damage. Fire in the hole.
Slice of Bacon: Lowers max HP by 100. On attack, deals 25 damage to all enemies. Worth it.
Spyglass: Adds one bounce to the trajectory. Best guess.
Blue Rose: When a monster is killed, gain 1 max HP. Healthy slow progress.
Wooden Stick: On peg hit, deals 10 damage. Stick shaped.
Space Rock: On peg hit, deals 20 damage. Random mana cost. Definitely not from here.
Severed Hand: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and deals a new hand of cards. Dearly missed.
Mega Eye: On peg hit, deals 10 damage. Huge.
Piggy Bank: On peg hit, deals 10 damage. When a monster is killed, gain 30 gold coins. Oink oink.
Toaster: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and electrocutes nearby pegs.
Builder’s Hat: On peg hit, deals damage based on card count. Keep building.
Double Axe: On peg hit, deals 10 damage to two enemies. Cutting edge technology.
Yarn Ball: A cat appears. On peg hit, there is a chance the cat deals 25 instant damage to a random enemy.
Anchor: On peg hit, deals 20 damage and applies 5 Strong.
Fly Agaric: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and inflicts 5 Poisoned.
Red Pepper: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and applies 5 Angry.
The Grail: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and inflicts 5 Vulnerable. Finders keepers.
Voodoo Doll: On peg hit, deals 10 damage and inflicts 5 Weak.
Status Effects

Strong: Takes 25 percent less damage for the next NN attacks.
Angry: Deals 25 percent more damage for the next NN attacks.
Poisoned: Loses 50 HP each round for the next NN rounds.
Vulnerable: Takes 25 percent more damage for the next NN attacks.
Weak: Deals 25 percent less damage for the next NN turns.
Protected: Gains 25 percent more shield for the next NN attacks.
Defenseless: Gains 25 percent less shield for the next NN attacks.
Status Effect Items

Strong: Takes 10 percent less damage for the next NN attacks.
Angry: Deals 10 percent more damage for the next NN attacks.
Poisoned: Loses 10 HP each round for the next NN rounds.
Vulnerable: Takes 10 percent more damage for the next NN attacks.
Weak: Deals 10 percent less damage for the next NN attacks.

A major updated demo is FINALLY here for all of you to sink your teeth into :) We are so excited to bring you this update full of new content and bug fixes... including new playable characters! We have lots of goodies in this v0.036 release!

What’s new in the Demo:

Three playable characters - now you can play as one of the accidental heroes: Marie Antoinette, who escaped the guillotine in Paris; Jiro, the mysterious ninja with a shadowy past; or Froggy, who fled from a plate in a fancy restaurant. Each has their own unique set of cards. (With more planned)

18 different peg boards (a lot more to come)
Mysterious events that can help or harm you.
Gameplay Length: 30 minutes of unique content, but endlessly replayable for building massive builds.
The final game will offer endless exploration and high replayability, with a single runtime of approx. 60 minutes. Explore three expansive world maps, packed with more than 100+ cards and relics, mysterious events, challenging encounters, thrilling boss fights, and numerous secrets, unlocks and items to be found.

First Look: Transylvania's First World Map

Locations introduced! The white italic text indicates level locations, except for "Transylvania" and "Carpathian Mountains". Currently in the demo, we have "Mortal Valley" and "Hoia Baciu Forest". These level locations will feature slightly different rules, enemies, cards, and relics in the near future. Banners represent bosses and mini-bosses. Currently, in the demo, we have the "House of Neculai". Bosses will grant you special relics if you manage to defeat them.
Updates:

New first world map art: Introducing location names.
New location: Hoia Baicu Forest. Rumored to be a hotspot for paranormal activity. Home of the House of Grando, "The Hunters".
Mortal Valley: Special rule - hit the lucky pocket to gain 30 shields. Home of the House of Gropar, "The Gravediggers".
Game-breaking bug fixed: Previously, leaving the game during an attack and then returning could cause the game to get stuck. This has now been fixed!
Gary doesn't clip through the floor anymore!
Levels don’t repeat. Or at least almost never...
New settings button: Press Kit & Assets. Download artwork to use in your stream, media entry, or creation.
New card: Hex Device. Deals 10 damage on peg hit. Randomly teleports. Strange technology...
Ghosts now pass through most objects, except for coins and restores. Now costs 2 mana.
We've made some changes to the speed button text and added an exciting new feature: the Run Save! Now, you can exit and re-enter the game while preserving your current run.
Your save file will be located in the Application.persistentDataPath. For Windows users, you can find it at C:\Users\AppData\LocalLow\Magneticlake\Paris Transylvania\save-file.json. This file is a straightforward JSON format, enabling you to mod your current run, back it up, or even share it with others. Just keep in mind that the file gets deleted if your character dies in the game. Enjoy this new layer of flexibility in your gameplay!

Apparently the Hand Fan relic and the Crucifix relic never ever worked, I multiplied the wrong value... So give them a try now! Or did they work at some point, and I somehow messed them up?
