Step right up, Curators!
Take on the role of Funfair Expert, and prepare to reopen the gates of Two Point County’s once-legendary amusement park, after a decades-long hiatus. For years, the site at Riquetti Gardens has sat dark, rusty and guest-less - and there’s nothing amusing about that, hm?

A Ticket to Vibe
We’re searching for Funfair Experts to revisit and reinvent wild rides, transforming the County’s old funfair into a one-of-a-kind mix of museum-meets-amusement park, or as we like to call it, a museum-ments.
You’ll juggle all the elements that go into curating a great funfair. Discover the highs within the technical art of Mascot Entertainment, and prove your expertise as you undertake building corkscrews near fragile artefacts. Curators will also need soft skills such as candy floss making and spannering (that’s Ride Maintenance, to you and me).
Coaster Curation
As our resident Expert, you’ll design the full loop of coastering journeys, creating your own custom coasters, tweaking everything from the height, tilt and camber to realise your own high-velocity dreams.
You’ll curate different coasters, ranging from the sombre Monobeast Monorail for our less thrill-enthusiastic guests to high-octane spins and inversions with the steel coaster. As our resident engineering expert, you’ll have full control when placing the coaster’s supports, adjusting each track piece, adding track additions like chains and boosters, and even decorative pieces.
Dressed to Thrill
Alongside their long list of museum duties, your assistants can now get dressed to thrill, with everywhere to go, as new Museum Mascots, as they traverse your museum near and far to deliver immersive experiences to your guests, transporting them to a new world whilst they explore your museum, or wait in line for rides.
Mascot costumes transform your Assistants into walking, talking (kind of) characters. An entire range is available, each with its own effects and entirely new smells to discover across Expeditions in Two Point County. Mascots will bring joy (and hopefully not tears) to your guests across your museum empire, with mascots available across museum themes.
Ride of your Life
As our new Experts, you should be happy to travel to the old abandoned park of Gearbox Fairgrounds on expeditions to uncover new thrilling blueprints and perks for this fresh adventure. You’ll help Gretchen Gearbox as she realises her grandfather’s dreams, revisiting his past rides - the marvels of engineering that they were - and bringing them up to modern Two Point County safety regulations, loose as they are.
Thrill to Bits
New Funfair exhibits not only provide Buzz and Knowledge, but a whole new rush in itself, providing Thrill. Previously untapped in the County’s museums, Thrill will increase your guests' desire to stay in the museum, thus offering a unique spin on maximising your guests’ visits, and of course, ride tickets, donations, and Gift Shop spend.
Your new funfair will boast historic rides from Two Point County’s past, and as our resident Expert, you’ll have the chance to bring history to life for guests by building blueprints for immersive ride experiences that complement your existing museum themes.
Department of Amusement
Experts with a background in award applications are a huge plus, as we’re eager to make history thrilling, with lofty goals to achieve Ride Ribbons and the perks that come with them.
Receiving certificates from the County’s Department of Amusement (is there a department for everything? No wonder the County spend is, ahem)… the Department of Amusement are a tricky bunch, who previously shut down Gearbox Fairgrounds, so make sure to keep rides well spannered and puddles properly mopped, if you’re to please them.
As usual, this update also comes with a load of bug fixes, improvements and optimisation changes.

Welcome back to the Digiverse!
You made it just in time, friends. Someone spilt coffee all over an arcade machine, which has only gone and caused a minor temporal distortion in spacetime. Now, strange rifts have opened, leading to other worlds in a place/not-place they’ve named The Digiverse.
We’re thrilled to announce our next Digiverse Rift is in partnership with Massive Monster and Cult of the Lamb…
Curate your flock as you boldly venture into the mysterious realms of Two Point Museum and the treacherous land of false prophets in Cult of the Lamb, as two utterly adorable yet wonderfully chaotic builders unite.
The Cult of the Lamb rift is spawning into Two Point Museum right NOW, available for all platforms. Repay your debt, Curators!
Cult of the Lamb
Fear not! I am Ratau. I was once a chosen vessel like you, but those days are lost to the winds. I was sent to guide you. The hallowed ground which once was mine is now yours.
First, let’s build a Shrine to demonstrate your faith… Then we should find the Lamb in Darkwood. For what is a shepherd without a flock?
Praise be! With the Shrine built, your Followers can now worship your museum! By your hand, our Cult will grow powerful.
As you build your very own Museum Cult, follow in Ratau’s footsteps to serve the One Who Waits by collecting Devotion. Complete runs exploring the land of false prophets, as you best a line-up of threats on Expeditions to earn Devotion.
You’ll journey to four POIs (that’s Points of Interest), treading where Ratau once did. But be wary, Curator, as each Expedition will unfold differently, with familiar yet daunting dangers unveiling themselves.
Your first step to leading a Museum Cult is to craft a Shrine in the Workshop. With an established Shrine, your Cult will earn Devotion directly from guests and unlock the ability to earn Cult Rewards from the Shrine in a brand new unlock tree.
As the Cult grows, guests can become followers, ones whose dedication to the Cult is rewarded with further Devotion, as well as museum Buzz and offerings, in the form of donations.
Each Exhibit you unlock on the Cult Rewards tree must be crafted in the Workshop to further your influence over your museum followers and increase the strength of your Museum Cult.
You’ll unlock and craft fan-favourite buildings from Cult of the Lamb, from the Drum Circle to the Offering Statue and finally, the Temple.
The Temple is the centre of your Cult. From there, you will grow stronger and perform Rituals to mould the minds of your followers.
As your brave Expedition teams explore further into the land of false prophets, you’ll gain more and more Devotion to unlock more powerful Cult Rewards. From decorative items, new Exhibits and upgrades, alongside Rituals for your Temple.
With our Cult flourishing, I must thank you. By relieving me of my duties, you have granted me what I desire most: peace. Now that I have taught you everything you need to know, I can pass my days playing Knucklebones, and you alone must continue to curate a cult powerful enough to rival the false prophets that seek your demise.
So, what’s new?
Experts can now explore the world of Cult of the Lamb, visiting four Points of Interest across the treacherous lands of false prophets.
Build your very own Museum Cult with four unique Exhibits, created in the Workshop.
Invite the roaming Lamb Exhibit to your Museum… after all, what is a shepherd without a flock?
Curate your Cult, as followers (guests) join your Museum Cult, with loyal members earning new bonuses.
Build loyalty by training Staff members in the Cult of the Museum, and gain discounted salary expectations for their faith.
Earn Devotion to spend on the Cult Rewards tree, unlocking decorative items and Cult of the Lamb exhibit upgrades
Discover new Rituals that deliver powerful Boons to your museum in return for Devotion.
As usual, this update also comes with a load of bug fixes, improvements and optimisation changes.

You made it just in time, friends. Someone spilt coffee all over an arcade machine, which has only gone and caused a minor temporal distortion in spacetime. Now, strange rifts have opened, leading to other worlds in a place/not-place they’ve named The Digiverse. If you need a reminder of what the Digiverse is, you can read more about the digital phenomenon here.
We’re thrilled to announce our next Digiverse Rift is in partnership with Mintrocket and Dave the Diver, where you’ll not only explore an ocean of discoveries, but this time, the temporal spill has gone both ways, and you’ll find Museum goodies in the latest Dave the Diver DLC…
So you can curate the deep alongside historic displays, we’ve bundled up two deeply different management games with a catalogue of collectables. We’ve joint forces with Dave the Diver with a 20% discounted Steam bundle.
The Dave the Diver Rift is swimming into Two Point Museum right NOW, available for all platforms. So dive deep, curators!
Dave the Diver
Welcome to the Blue Hole!
Hungry guests in your museum? As you're used to jumping into newly developed Rifts in the very fabric of the universe, an ever-changing, vast, deep body of water is nothing, right?!
Grab some snorkels and dust off your harpoons, as you explore the shifting depths of the Blue Hole to discover a diverse menu of Marine Life.
Alongside new fish for your aquarium, you’ll bring back a few relics of the Sea People. Recreate their underwater village with aquarium decor that will have your new Marine Life exhibits feeling right at home.
And what good is discovering an abundance of marine life if you can’t monetise it for hungry museum-goers?!
As museum managers, you can now establish your very own Bancho Sushi, building the Sushi Bar to satiate guests with fresh fish. By serving an edible exhibit, you’ll turn Marine Life exhibits into sushi. Guests served in the Sushi Bar receive Buzz and go on to make a special donation.
Plus, you can decorate your museum with new Sushi Bar decor items, including a Bancho Lantern, a new potted plant, and more!
Whilst exploring the depths of the Blue Hole, things can get preeeetty dangerous; you might want some spare oxygen for those deeper dives. Oxygen canisters are now available as Cargo Items! Built in the Workshop, these items will equip your experts with all they’ll need to counter (some) of the perils they may encounter.
So, what’s new?
Experts can now explore the world of Dave the Diver, visiting three Points of Interest in the Blue Hole
Collect a diverse menu of Marine Life, with six new exhibits
Create a vibe fit to suit the Sea People with new aquarium decorative items
Open a brand new business, building your very own Bancho Sushi Bar in your museum and serve fresh fish

Since launch, we’ve released 10 free updates, including new content, quality-of-life improvements and more, with a whole new Museum location called Pointy Mountains and loads of content for an Expedition Map called the Digiverse, where you explore other universes! We’re also releasing three paid DLCs, with much more planned for the Museum very soon…
As fledgling curators, you have the task of designing and refining your very own museums to create the ultimate guest experience. Coordinate Experts on far-flung expeditions to discover new Exhibits, generating Buzz to entice droves of knowledge-hungry guests who will expect top info-tainment if they’re to leave impressed. This is all while you keep your Exhibits safe, rooms clean, staff happy… and children off the dinosaur bones.
As Curator, the design and management of your expanding museum is in your hands! Send your team of partially trained Experts on Expeditions in search of rare and mostly well-preserved artefacts. When (and hopefully not if) your Experts return from their adventure, proudly display their fantastic finds in your museum.
You’ll unlock new locations as you decide where the next adventure takes you.
Your work doesn’t end there; Exhibit maintenance is crucial. While some Experts are gallivanting across Two Point County and beyond, you’re in charge of managing staff back home to ensure Exhibits and the museum stay in tip-top condition. If taking care of the carnivorous Chomper isn’t enough, there are also meddling thieves to watch out for. Thieves, and more frequently, children, are known for touching and grubbing up the displays, so make sure enough security is guarding your prized collection!
Get creative to design your museum layout your way! You have decorative freedom, so design thematic areas to guide your guests’ visit. Splash paint and lay carpet as you lovingly arrange each prehistoric fern, potentially melting iceman, and dinosaur remains wherever you see fit.
Once you’ve created the perfect atmosphere, arrange guided tours with custom routes led by a charismatic Expert. Tours are a fantastic way to enrich your guests' experience. To keep guests enthused, showcase Exhibits with the highest Buzz - those that are top quality, provide ample info and beautiful decorations are likely to attract the most donations!
Guests know best! The different types of guests who will frequent your museum may have different interests, but they do have some things in common… they expect the place to be kept clean, have plenty of refreshments, ample toilets, and a gift shop filled with goodies. And, of course, they need to be dazzled with knowledge of your Exhibits, which are kept well-maintained…
Two Point County will bring a variety of guests to your museum, and they all hope to discover their new favourite Exhibit… From dino fanatics and botany buffs to haunted horror seekers, you’ll need to cater to their personal preferences to meet their needs. By exceeding their expectations, you can keep them engaged, leading to longer visits, increased donations, and glowing reviews!

Hey Curators!
Today we kick off a month-long celebration as Two Point Studios turns TEN! (Where did the time go??). We’ve got a jam-packed season ahead, and this update? Consider it the starter to a full course coming very soon. You should definitely get some Gubbins and birthday cake ready for tomorrow.
Expect new content, exclusive reveals, and quality-of-life updates alongside optimisations - tonnes of lovely Two Point goodness to keep your museum halls buzzing over the warmer months. But the best part? The cherry on top? To add some extra ✨sparkle✨ to all this lovely new content, this update is thanks to YOU. We couldn’t do this without every single one of you brilliant (and occasionally chaotic) Curators who’ve sent us your thoughts, feedback, and fantastic ideas. We’ve been listening, we’ve been brewing, and whilst there’s exciting new content still cooking, we’re here to do one thing to kick-start a fantastic summer: deliver!
So, what’s new?
Celebrate the studio’s birthday with the Anniversary Cake & Staff Outfit
“Choose an Exhibit” on expeditions with full survey level, removing RNG
Earn new Twitch Drops, with items from Two Point’s past
More Emotions available on non-Art Exhibits
Place the Performance Stage outdoors
And much more… and more to come, sooner than you think!
Anniversary Cake & Outfit
It’s a special time for the studio, as very soon, we turn ten! To mark the occasion, there are new Anniversary Items in-game so all Pointians can join in with the celebrations.
Don your Staff with two new anniversary outfits, the Cake Topper and Party Hat. Plus, you can even get your guests involved with the new Anniversary Cake, a self-serve cake display where guests and staff alike can share a slice to increase their Food need.
Choose an Exhibit
A few months ago, we released a blog all about how we take on and action feedback from you lovely Pointians, and one of your top requests was the ability to set up repeating Expeditions. If you didn’t see that blog piece, we went into detail about how that was technically difficult, and we promised our design team were cooking up something to help.
Well, they’re here to DELIVER. Now, once a Point of Interest reaches max Survey Level, you can select which exhibit you want on the Expedition setup screen. Choosing an Exhibit increases the Expedition’s cost and duration; however, you can be guaranteed to get the exhibit you choose.
Now, the pay-off here is that it doesn’t guarantee the Exhibit’s quality; you still need to use all the tools at your disposal to increase the chances of finding higher-quality Exhibits, but, for anyone looking to complete their Pristine collection, it’s now all the easier to guarantee the exhibit you want.
Twitch Drops
Celebrate our birthday in style, with some throwback items available as Twitch Drops. To earn Twitch Drops, watch your favourite streamers until 16th July to grab these drops celebrating our birthday.
The items can be earned by watching Drop-Enabled streamers play Two Point Museum - you’ll know if a streamer has drop-enabled as it displays in their tags on Twitch!
Watch 15 minutes to earn the Milk Keg, an item you might remember from your campus days. The Milk Keg is a wall-mounted unit that meets guests’ Drink need.
After 30 minutes, you unlock the Leaflet Info stand, reminiscent of the leaflets in Two Point Hospital. This item will inform your guests all about your wonderful exhibits. And last but not least, by watching for 30 minutes, you’ll unlock the Ticket Reception, a throwback to our roots in the hospital again. This works just like a normal ticket desk.
Two Point Museum Free Weekend!
We’re excited to announce that Two Point Museum is FREE to play this weekend, starting 18:00 BST today you can jump in and try your hand at curation. If you’ve ever been on the fence about playing, now is the perfect time to try.
Build incredible museums, discover bizarre artefacts to exhibit, and curate the perfect museum visit for your guests. Play for free now on Steam and Xbox until June 22nd.

There, you’ll need ideas, and paint, and a room to think and breathe and create, so provide an Art Studio to commission original Art exhibits to evoke a broad range of emotions in museum guests.
All Art Experts are different! The artistic medium you choose to explore, and your Expert’s very own mood and traits, will have a profound impact on the Art you create; the possibilities are endless…
Into the Zeitgeist
Alongside tasking Experts to create original works in your new gallery(um), your collection will benefit from good old-fashioned, traditional expeditions. Follow in Zara’s footsteps around the County as you explore her travel sketchbook.
There, you’ll uncover Famous Works from Two Point’s greats, from ‘Two Point Gothic’ to ‘The Persistence of Dairy’, and you’ll expand your portfolio as you build a range of paint for your palette, picking up Performance Arts and immersive interactive experiences for your guests.
Emotional Journey
Curate your talent on inspiring expeditions, where you’ll (probably) bring back ideas and emotions ready to evoke in the medium of your choosing, as Expeditions not only bring new discoveries, but also broaden your Expert’s emotional depth. They’ll experience everything the County has to offer, returning equipped and ready to evoke fresh feelings in your guests.
A Work of Art
Experts will need an eye for detail for the museum to look the art. So, splash (literal) paint and curate an ink-redible museum with a bucketful of expressive items, containing everything you need to create a world-class art museum. From industrial items (that don’t quill Undee’s vibe) to bright decor that lets you colour outside the lines.
Frauds, Fakes & Phonies
As you establish your County-wide reputation, you’re bound to attract Art Nabbing fraudsters. You’ll need to demonstrate due diligence to distinguish the genuine arty-facts from the geneuin-ish works these fraudsters find in the back of a Roach Burger car park. Every great Art Museum must fight to keep its collection safe and authentic, so securing your sketches should be a top priority, lest they end up on the Car Bungle marketplace.
Perks to the role mostly include a free beret, and hazard pay for the inevitable, however, rare, paint-related incidents, and the salary expectations are set to the competitive industry rate of mostly exposure.

If you need a reminder of what the Digiverse is, you can read more about the digital phenomenon here.
We’re excited to announce our next Digiverse Rift is in partnership with Rovio and Angry Birds. Along with your usual traditional exhibits and interactive displays, this time the temporal spill has gotten a little out of control… A few living beings from the other side are trying to make their way into your museum, and these Bad Piggies are after your gold, eggs, and golden eggs.
Two Point experts discovered a crack in the fabric of the Digiverse and have only gone and unveiled a whole entire scheme. On the other side of this crack is the Angryverse, and Bad Piggies have gone and stumbled directly into a rift between both worlds. They’re now launching missions across the County to infiltrate top museums! Only your best Digital Experts can address this new threat, and they must venture forth into a new world to discover how best to combat this new guild of thieves.
Explore three POIs (that’s Points of Interest) to discover artefacts from the Angryverse. You’ll find new exhibits and even brand-new roaming attractions for your museums, which may just help combat pesky swines.
Alongside the new Angry Birds Digiverse Rift, curators can now spruce up their museums with new Spring Seasonal items, new highly requested outdoor toilets and picnic benches, as well as a whole spring hamper of new stuff - including those of the chocolate variety - with plenty of quality-of-life treats, too.
Curator, do you have any experience with dealing with dirty, rotten behaviour? Well! Your help may just be what the Angryverse needs; they just have to get a new security system for their eggs…
Traversing across Digiverse realms, Matilda needs your help (yes, you, curator!) in saving eggs from the clutches of pesky piggies. You’ll need to enlist the help of roaming birds if you’re to stop this new guild from literally snorting up your donations.
Meanwhile, over on the other side, the Piggies have stolen a Golden Egg and taken it aaaaall the way to Pig City. Which is pretty much the worst place it could be. Tempers are certainly flying high.
Your adventure, strange human-curator that you are, begins in Cobalt Plateaus, where the signature blue stone of Piggy Island frames the landscape, and can be found wobbling up high and toppling down low.
There, you’ll discover a first for Two Point County: free bird Wildlife exhibits. In Cobalt Plateau, you’ll discover Red, who’ll roam freely around your museums, exciting guests, and even helping to stop criminals, including the Bad Piggies, in their tracks.
Slingshotting yourself out of the Plateau, you’ll fly onwards to the lush Bamboo Forest. There, your Experts will need to fly high if they’re to discover the way forward. They will delve into the thick, quick-growing forest to find the route forward.
Here is where you’ll find the rest of the gang, as Chuck and Bomb join you in your museum, alongside further pig fortresses. These structures are of delicate porcine planning, designed to keep birds out.
Once discovered and placed in your Museum, Red and the gang can daze and reveal criminals, leaving them sitting ducks for your Security Guards! Once you’ve discovered an Angry Birds exhibit, a new crime guild, The Bad Piggies, will invade your museum through rifts, targeting donation stands, information stands, and the very important eggs you discover.
You’ll finally come across the illustrious Pig City. The feather-free capital of Piggy Island is full of pigs (unsurprisingly). When they get their hands on an Egg, this is where they bring it. As the ultimate Pig Fortress, the city has been toppled and un-toppled, time and time again.
So, what’s new?
Experts can explore Piggy Island, visiting three new POIs: Cobalt Plateaus, Bamboo Forest and Pig City
Dress your guests with Angry Birds merch with new Gift Shop items
Collect nine exhibits, including an interactive display and new roaming Wildlife exhibits
Decorate with new items, wallpaper and flooring to create your very own Angryverse Museum
Spring Seasonal Event
Flowers are budding all across Two Point County, enough to make sure every bunny has an absolutely cracking day!
Make sure not be late for this very important date, as we spring into an ear-resistible bonnet of Spring surprises. Whether it’s items ready for blossoming, a couple of dozen eggs, or bright new customisations, we’ve got the update that’s sure to ruffle some feathers. Let's hop to it:
Two Easter Isles have sprung up, manifesting in an area of intense culinary magic, enchanting the Scorched Earth with their specific type of confectionery sweetness. You’ll find these two chocolate-y POIs (that’s Point of Interest) near the compass in the South West corner of the Scorched Earth map.
Easter Isles
First, you’ll embark to the Coacoapelago, an atoll of magical islands framing the southern coast of Scorched Earth, where even from the mainland the air is now sickly sweet with the inviting waft of chocolate eggs.
There, your Experts will be inspired, bringing home egg-ravaging new ideas for blossoming decor. These springtime treats will do more than give your museum a spring clean, however, as these egg-citing discoveries will entice a brand new visitor type to your museum: Egg Hunters.
If you manage to impress these Hunters with your cracking finds, you’ll then have the opportunity to embark onwards to Bon Bon Boondox, a region notorious for being more than a spoonful of sugar sweet.
It’s not all sunny-side up on this new Isle, as on the quest for chocolate eggs, your staff may be in for a Fowl Surprise, or perhaps even a bad hare-day. The region is well-known for many seasoned explorers going missing; perhaps they decided to stay where the grass is sweeter? You’ll be the one to find out.
So, what’s new?
Hop over to two new egg-travegent Points of Interest that make up the Easter Isles, hidden away in Scorched Earth.
Explore to find three new exhibits, including a new cute and fluffy Habitat critter and new Botany discoveries.
New customisation options for your walls and floors.
Bring spring blossoming into your museum with new free decor items.
Take the cake (literally) with new Chocolate Cake Kiosk.
…and a whole basket full of chocolate eggs!
How does it work?
Seasonal POIs are a bit special; they only appear during the seasonal event. Plan your expeditions to discover the new basket of goodies on offer, whilst the event is live.
The Easter Isles are ready for exploration, and you’ve plenty of time to fill your basket and collect your blooming exhibits before May 30th. And don’t worry, we’ll post plenty of reminders before it’s time to say goodbye to spring’s blooms.
In the settings menu, you can now choose between each seasonal event, meaning you can revisit the seasons whenever you please.
And the best bit: decorations are forever! Once you’ve unlocked the lovely seasonal decorative items, they’re yours to keep, no matter the season. Plus, the event’s POIs will make an annual return, just like the turning of the seasons themselves. So, you can always revisit them next year to enjoy the fresh blossoms!
Update 8.0
New High-Level Curator Class Rewards
We heard you loud and clear, Curators! The well-seasoned explorers amongst you will be glad to hear that new Curator-Class rewards are up for grabs to reward you for your continued efforts in the higher levels of museum management.
These extra shiny items will bring extra utility to your museums, where now guests will be able to ‘self-serve’ when purchasing a museum ticket, or even for Gift Shop purchases, freeing up some of your ever-busy, multi-skilled Assistants. Alongside these is a dazzlingly new high-tech security archway, complete with lasers (of, course), and a bank full of shiny golden items to show off your prestigious reputation amongst curators across the County.
These lovely rewards will automatically unlock for those of you who have gone above and beyond in the realm of mayhem management. If you’re working towards your museum legacy, the new rewards are seen from Curator Class 9 all the way through to 15.
Outdoor Items
If you didn’t know, new outdoor items ranked X in our community feedback round-up (which you can read more about here). An outdoor toilet ranked top amongst those suggestions, and we’re here to deliver.
To top off your new park areas, Vending Machines are now placeable inside and out so now you can now create the perfect picnic area, complete with facilities, right in time for the spring season. We’ll keep working on new outdoor items in future updates, too, so keep your ideas coming in!
New POI Briny Bay
Ferreted away in a small basin in Farflung Isles, the previously thought lifeless waters of Briny Bay have surprised even well-adventured Experts.
You can now explore the cold, brackish depths to discover a new marine life exhibit. The saline levels of this stretch of water are perfect for resigning oneself to floating along limply as powerful current buffet you this way or that, for fish who are tired of swimming, and aren’t blubbered either way.
Quality-of-Life Changes
Sandbox Settings
(with more to come, too!)
We heard you loud and clear and have delivered new sandbox options so you’re able to fine-tune your sandbox mode experience event further.
When customising your sandbox, you can now unveil the entirety of the Expedition Maps, unlocking all Points of Interests, and even setting survey level to start at it’s max level, meaning Pristine Exhibits can be found immediately.
We know there’s more settings you’d like to see in sandbox, and we’re working towards adding more functionality as we go, check out this blog here for more about our process behind implementing these - and, keep the suggestions coming!
New Item Icons & Exhibit Filters
It’s now easier than ever to differentiate between where or what items are in your Items Menu, and there’s even new Filters for the Inventory that houses your Exhibits and Interactive Displays.
New icon backgrounds means you can easily see where an item is from, so there’s no need to search high and low for new seasonal or DLC items going forward. Alongside this, in the Inventory, you can now use the new tabs to filter by Exhibit Theme, which is extended across the Interactive Display and Utilities menus too.
…and much more:
Added new option for simultaneous yaw/pitch mouse controls
Wildlife Exhibit trait updates and New Cursed Object Traits
You can now see how many variants an animal has by hovering over their quality icon in the inspector
Guests will no longer view empty rooms, and won’t complain about empty rooms not having info stands
You can now see how many of each exhibit are in your museum in the sticker book
As usual, this update also comes with a load of bug fixes, improvements and optimisation changes.

Hey Pointians!
As the days start getting longer and flowers start budding, it’s time to look forward into spring 2026 and what’s freshly blooming in YOUR museum.
We’ll kick off 2026 with our first major update, welcoming version 8.0, which will include a tonne of bug squashing we tackled in a studio-wide bug bash, and some of your most requested quality of life changes, too, but more on that below!
This spring, you can also expect new Digiverse rifts (yes, rifts!) in the coming months, as well as a brand new seasonal event to celebrate all things spring (chickens not included).
And guess what? On top of all this, expect news about our latest DLC, which we know will have you all buzzing.
If you've got ideas or suggestions for future content in Two Point Museum, or you fancy chatting and daydreaming with fellow Pointians, we'd love to hear from you. And to get stuck in with other fans, join the Discord, we may even have a leak or two.
We're super excited and hope you have a fantastic time curating all this new content!

What have we been up to?
Bug Bash
This January, we set ourselves a studio-wide challenge to squash as many bugs as we possibly could within a week. A few of these changes made it into version 7.3; however, the main bulk of the 100+ (!!) bugs we tackled in the bug bash are coming this spring. Expect a juicy change log for version 8.0, and as always, we’ll continue tackling bugs and issues as they pop up throughout the year.
This is all part of our wider goal for the start of 2026: a proper ‘New Year freshen up’. Whilst 2025 was an exceptional year, we’d been concentrating on new content releases, which we know had a knock-on effect of introducing some bugs, sometimes frustrating, sometimes hilarious.
We couldn’t tackle this many bugs without everyone of you playing at home who reports to us, so a massive thank you goes out to you, lovely Pointians, for your reports, logs, and save files.
Quality of Life Changes
As part of this freshen up, the team moved from bug squashing over to adding those extra additions that may seem small but really add up to make a big difference. These quality-of-life changes will be a big part of version 8.0, and we thought we’d take some time to present our process for how we go about prioritising quality-of-life.
We’re a small-ish to midsize game studio, of around ~45 now, which means whilst we’d like to tackle all the things, we have to do clever prioritisation to take on projects that will feel most impactful, but, importantly, not take up precious time away from achieving other cool things. There might be something the team or community would really like to see that would take significant time to implement, iterate, test, and release. In those situations, it could mean we only have time to bring one QoL change to the game, rather than multiple!
To keep us prioritising the right things, we keep an internal wishlist, and alongside that, we keep a tally of what you, our players, have been requesting, how often, and what exactly it is you’re requesting. You may ask for “a better sandbox” - but the important details there are what you think will make it better, as everyone might have a different idea of ‘better’.
Our mega community suggestions spreadsheet sifted these categories to the top (where number 1 is the most requested):
“Under construction mode”: the ability to close rooms
Creative sandbox options
Expedition Changes
Tackling numero uno on the list, expedition changes: the ‘RNG’ element of the game is one that we spent a long time iterating on during development, to get that balance of discovery and adventure, whilst making sense from a gameplay perspective. This is one we’ve continued making changes to, as well, like in an early update where we completely overhauled the loot tables.
We see a lot of feedback about the process being repetitive, about how a ‘repeat’ button would be beneficial, and about specific loot tables being unfair, and we’ve done some investigating into what is and isn’t possible:
As expeditions are so variable, a repeat button isn’t as easy a fix as it may seem. The game would have to consider things like: what happens if a member of staff is injured, MIA or has quit? What if you’re out of cargo items, or what if the season has changed, and there’s a new event to counter?
Simply put, having a ‘repeat’ button in theory would solve the issues above; however, if the button is greyed out because a variable makes the expedition group invalid, it can quickly become clunky and unintuitive to display and inform the player properly, and they’d have to be troubleshooting and managing their expedition crew, anyway. Implementing a repeat button would mean extensive work on the “why” part, to explain what situation had arisen to cause the button to be greyed out, which would involve tool-tips, pop-ups, or other things like that, which become less and less intuitive.
So, instead, we’re investigating other ways achieve a similar thing: reduce friction in expeditions. We collect POIs that the community reports are troublesome for balance passes, as one example. And, on top of that, we’re looking at whether we can streamline expedition setup by looking at things like: can we filter staff better on the setup menu? Can we give the player the ability to block certain staff members from appearing? Can we make autofill more intelligent?
The team is investigating these areas, amongst other possibilities, and whilst we can’t make any promises currently, we’ll keep making changes and iterations on expeditions and keep assessing the feedback as it comes in.
Better Inventory and Filtering
This is something the team is already sorting! The main pain points for filtering stem from the exhibit inventory, and especially in the decor and items menu, where we’ve recently added new themes or certain item categories have become more important. We see a lot of requests for the ability to filter out items like mods, alongside the “source” of items, such as whether it’s from a seasonal event or DLC.
We’re currently testing better systems for the exhibit menus and, alongside this, have been introducing new tabs in the items menu in internal testing builds, to help players find and categorise items more easily. This is still in early stages, however, as UI changes can have knock-on effects and additional testing requirements across all of the different control schemes and scaling we support.
We also have a new visualisation coming for item icons, meaning at first glance you’ll be able to see where an item is from, i.e. if it’s from a DLC or seasonal item. This is also true for walls and floors, so there’s no need to go digging through the menu to find the newly added flooring anymore, as it’ll be easier to spot using the icon.
Outdoor Stuff!
The most common request we see in this category is, well, more! More fence/hedge options, more terrain, more benches/lights/bins, and on top of that, the ability to place certain things outdoors like Ticket Desks, Vending Machines and Toilets.
Now, again, some of these are harder than others. For starters, currently, if you don’t have a staffed Ticket Desk, you’ll see your guests congregate towards the door closest to the Desk. So, in the case of an ‘outdoor’ Ticket Desk, there is possibly no door. So, there are extra considerations about how to change guest behaviour to make an outdoor Ticket Desk function. This guest behaviour has a knock-on effect on things like their stay length, as guests walk from their spawn point to a position to where they can either wait near a door by a Ticket Desk or buy a ticket, so removing this behaviour in favour of outdoor tickets would potentially introduce longer walks and affect stays. We haven’t ruled this out, but it needs further consideration!
Instead, the team have been testing other outdoor stuff, including new additions, some for 8.0, some for future updates - so this is one to wait and be surprised about!
Ability to “close” things for construction
So the root cause of this suggestion is usually a bug, where: empty Polterguest Rooms, Aquariums and Habitats will have guests peering in, looking for exhibits, who’ll then be cheeky and ask for Info Stands for looking at nothing. We’re pretty sure we’ve gotten this bug sorted, and it’s currently in testing. This behaviour meant folks would ask for the ability to close rooms whilst they’re renovating or building them up. We also saw this suggestion for empty equipment plinths, which we’ve already introduced a change for, so guests shouldn’t view them.
Another suggestion we see is the ability to fully close the museum. This is something we discussed as a team; however, we felt like it would have a lot of negative knock-on effects, like the potential to spiral financially with staff costs, or even disrupt the game flow completely, which would detract the need to play reactively.
Creative Sandbox Options
We see a load of requests for more customisation options and unlocks in sandbox mode, especially from our more cozy creative curators. This is something we began iterating on before, and in a previous update we added the ability to switch off the Curator Class Objectives, and gave better sandbox customisation options, for example, to staff pay increases.
In version 8.0, we have new options coming to the sandbox, and we will continue assessing player feedback and iterating on the sandbox in future as well. We want to see how you find these new options and if they’re ticking the right boxes, before we continue developing.
We’re also assessing whether or not certain options can be changed during an active sandbox, like Kudosh levels, and we’ll also reassess whether creative sandbox is giving players enough Kudosh and currency by default. Changing things mid-session will be technically more complicated, as it involves editing game settings that are usually preset, so they’re touched once and not again, so we can’t make any promises on this possibility just yet.
The biggest request we see is an option to ‘start with all exhibits'. This is possible with dev hacks; however, it currently dumps all exhibits in your inventory, resulting in what can only be described as a jumbled mess. So, this option is dependent on us iterating on the inventory system (which we’re starting in v 8.0), and then we’ll assess whether the new inventory has the tools needed to make an ‘everything’ museum a fun experience and not give the vibes of your average local car boot sale, only with a humungous scroll bar.
If you’ve gotten this far, thanks so much for being here on this journey with us. We hope this gives a transparent snapshot into the decision-making behind the scenes and how we tackle prioritisation.
This doesn’t fully cover everything we have coming in version 8.0 (and beyond), as for one, there's a lot coming, and secondly, we don’t want to spoil everything we’ve got cooking, so we’ll see you soon for more on that.
If you have an idea or suggestion that we've not mentioned here, please comment below. It may be that it's already on our radar, and whilst we can't spoil everything, we can log it or let you know more.
Massive love to you all for your continual support, The Two Point Team
