Only one more week until A Foreign World will be released. Last Friday, we introduced the first half of the female cast. Today we'll cover the rest. Most people reading this are aware; A Foreign World is a harem AVN where you get to know the individual stories of 11 unique love interests. And of course, some of them have superpowers; almost all of them are from another world.

From left to right, we have:
Megan, Tracy, Sue, Monique, Sally

Megan

Nobody can resist a cute foxgirl. Apparently this holds true in this story as well. Megan has become a fan favorite. Her ability (superpower) is that she can transform into a fox. That's how you get to know her at the beginning. It takes a while for her to get used to the new normal and to show herself as a human.

Tracy

She is strong on the outside, but she also carries a fragile heart. If it comes down to it, she will pick up her spear and defend herself and the people she cares about. It's just that she would prefer that it never comes down to it. Her ability is physical enhancement. She is the second strongest woman in this story.

Sue

Oh, there is a lot to say about Sue. She is the first to fall in love with the main character. A bit mischievous, a bit naughty... good at assessing other people's thoughts, feelings, and desires. Her ability allows her to control water. If she didn't have to compare herself to monsters like Tracy or Aurora, she would be considered quite powerful. But since these two people exist, Sue shines less with her strength and more with her character.

Monique

Monique's ability allows her to turn invisible. This means for part of the story it looks like a possessed set of clothes is walking around the house. But once you get to know her, she is a total sweetheart. A little shy... but in a cute way... hopefully.

Sally

She is mature and reserved. The story starts the day after the person she loves is killed. The fact that it was a one-sided love doesn't make it any better. She tries to outrun her feelings by taking on responsibility around the house. Reaching her is straightforward, but it takes time.

On a different note, her ability allows her to heal people. Turns out, she is a remarkably skilled person.

Two weeks until the final version of A Foreign World will be released. Leading up to it, I'm going to introduce the love interests. Most people reading this are aware; A Foreign World is a harem AVN where you get to know the individual stories of 11 unique love interests. And of course, some of them have superpowers; almost all of them are from another world.

This post will showcase half of the female cast. Keep your eyes open. Next week we'll introduce the rest.

Aurora

She is a fierce and cautious woman who had a particularly rough life. It's going to take a while to win her heart, but it's definitely not impossible. Her ability (superpower) is among the strongest in the story. To simplify her ability... let's just say she can create and control fire, and leave it at that.

Lucy

She is a very reserved woman. Quite smart. Quiet. Part of her story is that she has been blinded in that other world. Most surprising... she is originally from Earth.

Fiona

We can't introduce Fiona without saying some words about the main character. Yes, Fiona is the vice president's daughter and was once saved by the main character. But she is also the main character's fiance. Ex-fiance when the story starts... but they'll get there... maybe.

Esther

To think there is something like a princess in a story without monarchy. Maybe it's better to call her the grandchild who receives special treatment and had to grow up with the scorn of others? Her situation is a bit too complicated to describe in one paragraph.

Saying she is like a princess is less about her character and more about her social position within her group. She is not a leader, but she is competent, and people listen to her.

Amber

Her ability can be classified as mental enhancement. She basically thinks a lot faster than others. That's not always a blessing. Yes, she is smart and talented, but sometimes her mind is getting in the way of her happiness.

Cecilia

We can't talk about Cecilia without mentioning the secret government organization that the main character has worked for and for which Cecilia is currently employed. Yes, she is a secret agent who helps the main character manage the women with superpowers who are living at his house.

Follow, subscribe, put it in your calendar... Do whatever you need to do so you won't miss the release of A Foreign World on the 17th of July.

First, and maybe most definitely, in the world this story plays, dungeons started appearing two years ago. While there is immense potential in dungeon exploration, people have yet to develop the infrastructure to enter dungeons without unreasonable loss of life. You play as a dual awakener whose initial strength doesn't match his true potential.

The main love interest is Stacy Kirsch, the daughter of a well-respected German family. In an effort to secure the future, her family arranged a marriage for her. After being humiliated at the first meeting with her future husband, she decides to throw a wrench into her family's plans.

Even though you only recently met, she asks you to play her boyfriend, unaware that you might be the key to her family's future.

In this game, you not only have to increase affection to eventually gain intimacy, but you also get to decide who is worth your time and attention. While the main story focuses on Stacy Kirsch, there are also two more love interests. It's up to you who you want to be with.

Episode 8 - Release

Here we go. You can think of this as an early christmas present. Hopefully you don't mind if I give it to you like this. I wasn't sure how to wrap it and put it under your tree.

For those that haven't heard, I finished my degree, so from now on I have a bit more time working on games. Updates should come a bit more quickly. It's about time I finish A Foreign World, don't you think? There will be a few more updates (8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 11) and then the game will be done. I'm confident that I can finish the story in 2026.

I also started working on my next project in the hopes of having a store page up and running by the time the last update of A Foreign World will come out. It's going to be an AVN focused on 1-3 love interests. The story is already mapped out, but I haven't decided on a name yet. I'll announce it once things are a bit more set in stone.

Let's talk about this update. As always, Episode 8 adds another day to the story. I tried to create some fight animations. They are not horrible, but in the end it's not my strong suit. I just thought I needed some practice before the big fight with Nathaniel.

With this update I decided to stop updating the memory section of the game. From my perspective the time it takes each update to add something to the memory screen is better spent elsewhere. With the last update I'll go ahead and add stuff to it in retrospect. For now, don't expect anything new there. By now, I'm sure you know all the characters.

I often heard that the image and replay gallery has grown quite big, and needed a way to filter for certain girls. Agreed. I tried something, it's tested... But I'm not 100% confident that you can't somehow break it. Programming isn't my strong suit. Check it out, you can now choose a women on the left and you'll only be shown images/replays with her.

Finally, I can already mention that I'm fairly close to finishing the next update. I had a couple of very productive weeks. Episode 8.5 is going into beta access before the end of the year, which mean that the update will be released early next year.

Instead of creating the next day, I went back and reworked some aspects of the story. Mainly things that players often complained about.

TLDR: There are new achievements, you can now reject Fiona, it's easier to access certain scenes, bugfixes, abilities now have categories, and most of the changed scenes are displayed right after where the last update has left off, so you don't have to replay the entire game to find out what is new.

Now we come to the more lengthy explanation:

1 - I went back and adjusted the way abilities could be categorized. Besides the distinction of male and female abilities, the female abilities are now split into six categories. This is first explained in the training scene, where MC asks Tracy about how abilities work.

Her,e I should explain that you don't have to start a new playthrough to see those scenes. Not everybody will, and it would be confusing if, in the future, characters refer to something the player hasn't seen yet. In an effort to keep their' safe files from the end of the last update, I added a dream scene after your interaction with Cecilia, where the MC remembers things he was told about abilities. This dream only triggers in playthroughs that haven't seen the changed scenes yet. If you are curious what has changed, you don't have to go through the entire game from the beginning; you can simply load the last save and watch what's new.

But there is a reason why you might want to start a new playthrough.

2 - You can now reject Fiona.

People wanted this for a while. It's the only love interest that you couldn't reject. Now it's possible to be sceptical once she returns, which will allow you to reject her after the bowling scene. Fiona will still appear in the story, but no longer as much, and it's clear that the two of you are not together.

3 - It's easier to access a certain spicy scene involving Tracy

Up until now, this scene could only be viewed if you reject Tracy before talking things out with Fiona, then you tell her you are interested at night in the kitchen, and only then you get the option to have your first time with her at home instead of the gym shower. Now you get the option to sleep with Tracy at home, regardless of when you showed Tracy that you like her.

4 - It's easier to access Lucy's spicy solo scene

Up until now, you needed to reject Tracy in your playthrough if you wanted to see Lucy's solo scene. Now, you no longer have to do that. Simply choose to talk to Lucy alone after Tracy comes to your room on the day you went to the waterpark.

And then there are a couple of changes that don't need much explaining:
- Restoring the H button to its normal functionality in Ren'Py games
- Fixing an incontinuity error where the story showed you slept with Fiona, even if you didn't
- New Achievements
