Why is there no recommended spec for Ultra Settings, and how will adjusting my graphics settings impact my framerate?
Over the course of development, we validated the game is actually more CPU bound. This means we have found that adjusting individual graphical settings (even on higher end GPUs) does not have the same inflection on framerate as other genres. With this in mind, we decided not to emphasize specs for Ultra settings. We hope this does not take away from your overall enjoyment with Star Wars Zero Company.
What steps should I take if I experience a poor framerate or stuttering on the Recommended spec?
We recently removed 'native' from our PC specifications to be fully transparent ahead of launch. As we worked to finalize the game, achieving our Recommended target (60 FPS / 1440p) is best accomplished using the game's recommended default setting: TSR or vendor upscalers DLSS/FSR. If you continue to experience issues, please visit our troubleshooting site [url="https://help.ea.com/en/star-wars/star-wars-zero-company/troubleshoot-common-issues/"]here.
Does Star Wars Zero Company support ultrawide monitors?
Yes, 32:9 and 21:9 ultrawide monitors are supported.
Does Star Wars Zero Company have controller support on PC?
The game is mostly playable with Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 controllers, but will require keyboard entry for certain text inputs.
Can controls be remapped?
Buttons can be remapped on PC for both controller and mouse / keyboard. They can also be remapped on PlayStation and Xbox controllers on consoles.
Will there be any additional microtransactions?
No, we don't have any plans for monetization or microtransactions at this time.
Will there be any DLC or Post-launch content?
We focused on making the best game we can at launch and don't have anything to announce right now.
Will there be new game+ at launch?
No, we won't have New Game+, but players will unlock certain customization options on subsequent playthroughs.
Will Star Wars Zero Company get Steam Deck verified?
The game will not be Steam Deck verified at launch, but if anything changes we’ll be sure to update our community.
Will the game have modding support?
We have a lot of respect for the modding community, but there is no official mod support planned for Star Wars Zero Company.
What’s the difference between Operations and Missions? What are some examples of mission types?
In each cycle you will have a chance to complete Operations and Tactical Missions at the holotable in the Den. Both can expire, but story-critical missions will become obligatory after a period of time. Each cycle ends with a Tactical Mission selection which will deploy you and your selected squad to the mission.
Operations take place in the Galaxy Map and can yield instant rewards while adding to the narrative, or unlock additional operations and missions. Some Operations may present a dilemma and require choice (think “choose your own adventure”) and different choices may have an impact on character bonds and side missions.
Tactical Missions are the tactical layer of the game, where you will deploy a squad to complete an objective, including a small free-roam phase in story missions where you can move through the environment in third person. You can gain additional world immersion, intel points, and advantage points ahead of the combat encounter itself. Some general Mission types include…

How does permadeath work in Star Wars Zero Company?
Permadeath is enabled by default but can be toggled off if desired. We encourage you to adjust the settings to create the best experience for yourself. For those interested in trying permadeath in their campaigns, we feel it provides a unique experience of experiencing loss, a core theme of Star Wars, and pushing through that loss to what’s on the other side of the emotional experience.

The Bit Reactor team is excited to share more details about the game with you. To do so, we hosted a Q&A in the official EA Star Wars Discord server and selected a collection of our answers for this article. We hope these responses give you a closer look at Star Wars Zero Company and leave you even more eager to fight the war beneath the war on August 27.
To learn more about the game's development, creative vision, and what you can expect when you take command of Zero Company, we sat down with the Bit Reactor team to directly answer questions from the community we were asked in the EA Star Wars Discord server.
Can you have a whole team of Clones?

Operators in Zero Company have access to clone armor cosmetics with the ability to customize their armor from the start. Bonus: Clone Trooper helmets even provide a voice modulation to characters.
You will be able to unlock Clone Troopers after a certain point in the story, allowing you to have a full team of Clone Troopers.

How many hours will the game be?

Depending on your difficulty level and experience with the strategy genre, we estimate about 30-40 hours for the average player to complete the main story campaign.

What was it like creating the character Hawks and how early did you decide to make him the main character?

Hawks was a long conversation for our team. Stepping into the Clone Wars, we built a character who not only served as a figurehead for this group of unexpected heroes from all walks of the galaxy, but also as someone who cares. Balancing those characteristics with an identity that people could identify with and attach to was extremely important.
It took us a while to create a character that fits in that way. This also played a big role in how we approached the voice performance for Hawks. Depending on whether they choose the male or female version of Hawks, players might notice that the voice options feel more like an outlaw cowboy or a by-the-book FBI agent. Both voice actors brought different avenues for players to connect to. Coupled with the player’s option to pick the character’s species, first name, appearance, clothing and more, we made those choices customizable in the game universe so Hawks felt like they could be anybody.

Is Hawks only required to be deployed for story-related missions or can we not deploy him at all if we wanted?

With the option to customize hawks and him showing up in cutscenes in the trailers, it seems like the cutscenes will be real-time rendered instead of pre-rendered. Are most of the cutscenes in this game going to be real-time rendered?

Most of the cutscenes in-game are rendered in real-time, but there are a few minor exceptions where we use pre-rendered cinematics. It was important to our team for players to see the characters they've customized reflected throughout their gameplay experience.

What is the operator limit at HQ? Does it increase as the game progresses or does it remain static through the game?

The current operator limit is 20, but players will start with a maximum of 7 operators. This limit can be increased through different upgrades at The Den, story progression, and as new Authored Operators join the squad.

Can you tell us a little bit more about the variety in weapons and gear we can outfit our operators with?

Players will have a lot to discover once Star Wars Zero Company is released, but there is a deep well of equipable weapons and utilities for you to experiment with and customize as you progress in the game. We have four weapon classes, alongside 4 to 6 cosmetic models you can select from within each class.

Is the Squad limit capped at 4 operators?

The standard squad limit can go up to 4 Operators, but players will have the opportunity to control additional characters in certain missions.

How are actions limited on the “strategic layer”/the map? I believe it was said that time only advances when you take a combat mission, does that mean you are free to do everything on the map?

You will have a certain amount of intel you can spend to conduct Operations at the Galaxy Map between each mission. These can expire, but you will have story-critical missions that become obligatory after a certain point in the game. Each Operation costs various amounts of Intel, so we encourage you to choose wisely depending on your playstyle and gameplay interests.

It seems from everything we've been told that Jedi Padawan is tied to Tel-Rea herself, but what happens if Tel-Rea dies? Are we able to create/recruit more Jedi Padawans to Zero Company, or is she simply the only character that fits into that class?

Tel-Rea is the only Jedi Padawan class Operator in Star Wars Zero Company—be careful that nothing unfortunate happens to her!

How will “no fog of war” avoid a “snipers snipe everything” player strategy?

Snipers are a viable strategy, and we won't dissuade players from building a whole squad to address certain scenarios. We've seen the evolution of strategy games over our careers, and it was extremely important to us to offer diverse strategies and flexibility in how someone wants to play.
With that in mind, even though Snipers have a long range, it doesn't mean they can always see the targets they want to shoot. A whole team of Snipers might end up having a lower rate of kills, which could be something you want to keep in mind when planning out your team.

What will the playstyle of the three enemy factions be like? Any specific strategies we should consider employing against each?

Our three announced enemy factions all have distinct aspects that will challenge players to change up their tactical approach. For the Separatist Alliance and their droids, players might want to have Ion weapons to handily dispose of them. Infinite Coil units will have various abilities and players will need to consider who to kill and in what order, and Outlaws can overwhelm you with numbers.

How early into the game can we make a full astromech team?
UnCool Iroh
Astromechs are unlocked pretty early in the game, and you can build a full team as soon as you can recruit astromechs. Hawks is required for story missions, but additional slots can be filled with astromechs at all times. We want to see all the Astromech teams!

Can we recruit B1 battle droids or Separatist battle droids in general, even if we have to stun them with EMP Grenades, hack them into submission using a Specialist's Haywire Protocol, or outright shred them with Bluescreen Rounds to study them to make our own like in xcom. Since Hawks says Zero Company recruits ex-Separatists, ex-nobles, and ex-cons, I figured the best bots would fit right in, and you could give them a rival with the clone troopers and different paint jobs and customization like the Astromechs

You cannot recruit Separatist droids as Operators in Star Wars Zero Company. It was fun reading how much thought you've put into how a Separatist droid could be recruited, though.

Will Zero Company have access to any specialized call ins? depending on if the theater of operation is in a warzone, can we count upon calling in LAAT support once per mission? or the ability to exfiltrate early from an operation if things are going poorly at the expense of mission failure?

There will not be any specialized call-ins. Hawks has to make it out, or it's an automatic mission fail. We recommend taking your time with team planning to build a squad that supports your playstyle for mission success.

Will our characters have Nicknames? And if so, will they potentially get to get them over time with a nickname pool, like in XCOM 2?

Nicknames aren't acquired like in XCOM 2, but players can fully customize recruited Operator names and backstories when you customize your character.

Our Bonds system also allows Operators to grow closer through their combat experiences, unlocking new support abilities, including cross-training benefits where bonded units can share new skills and stats. This aspect, combined with the freedom you have to customize equipment and playstyle through secondary or advanced specializations, makes for deeply rewarding experience, with tough decisions, high-stakes moves, and challenging, creative combat scenarios.
Are the characters we see in the Gameplay Trailer the only members of Zero Company?
As Hawks, Zero Company is your squad to assemble and can be filled with Authored Operatives—characters like Trick, Jae Mordant, Tel-Rea Vokoss, Luco Bronc, Cly Kullervo, and Kabb Uppercut—as well as Custom Operatives, who are the squadmates you can create and fully customize. Hawks’ species, first name, appearance, clothing, Specialization, and more can also be customized. You can choose the balance of Authored and Custom Operators they want to use for Tactical Mission based on the Star Wars journey they want to tell.
Other members of Zero Company who support the team from The Den, not the frontlines, include Bennic Halloren (Republic Intelligence), Runa Blask (Operations and Finance), Neesh Renark (Armory and Black Market), and Meevo, or M-3VO (Pilot and Medbay).
Can you tell us more about the Advantage Points system and how having a shared resource pool for special abilities across your squad affects gameplay?
One of the core elements of Star Wars Zero Company’s gameplay is tactical versatility. Through the shared Advantage System resource pool, you can choose when to use your squad’s special abilities and in what order between Operators. These Advantage Abilities can help you get out of a sticky situation, or double-down on dealing the maximum offensive capability against their enemies.
What’s the difference between Operations and Missions? What are some examples of mission types? In each cycle you will have a chance to complete Operations and Tactical Missions at the holotable in the Den. Both can expire, but story-critical missions will become obligatory after a period of time. Each cycle ends with a Tactical Mission selection which will deploy you and your selected squad to the mission. Operations take place in the Galaxy Map and can yield instant rewards while adding to the narrative, or unlock additional operations and missions. Some Operations may present a dilemma and require choice (think “choose your own adventure”) and different choices may have an impact on character bonds and side missions. Tactical Missions are the tactical layer of the game, where you will deploy a squad to complete an objective, including a small free-roam phase in story missions where you can move through the environment in third person. You can gain additional world immersion, intel points, and advantage points ahead of the combat encounter itself. Some general Mission types include…

How many different locations will we get to visit in Star Wars Zero Company?
The Galaxy Map includes over 150 planets where strategic Operations can potentially take place throughout your campaign. Many of these are the site of choose-your-adventure style war table choices. We then have over a dozen unique planets where Tactical Missions can take place, each with richly detailed environments developed in collaboration with the Lucasfilm Games team.
What are some examples of standout abilities and strategies that are a ton of fun to use? Any developer favorites?
Here’s a few of our favorite examples:
Force pulling or pushing an enemy into a squad member’s overwatch zone.
Bull-rushing an enemy into the void for an instant kill (think turbo lift shafts, water, cliffs, etc.)
Creating multiple overwatch zones in reinforcement areas.
Creating an extended turn with a Gunslinger who gains action points on a kill.
Calling for backup and gaining multiple bonded units to fire on a single target in one action move.
Clearing enemy cover with a rocket launcher or explosive.
Turning an astromech into a weapon—packed with firebombs, thermal detonators, and droid poppers.
Drawing enemies near explosive cover and using the sabotage ability to send them flying.

How are you introducing enemies and objectives that push you to break out of the traditionally safe Overwatch crawl strategy commonly found in tactics games, and how have you designed encounters to encourage different play patterns in Zero Company?
Opening up many different strategies through diverse tactical combat scenarios is incredibly important to us. The sheer flexibility that you have when customizing your squad and shaping a playstyle will help unearth creative strategies that even we haven’t thought of. And, speaking generally, the “Overwatch crawl” strategy is going to be effective where it counts and makes sense, but our encounters have several different objective types to pave the way for alternatives. Overwatch is great for defending a point in a supply run mission, but it’s going to be less ideal for sabotage missions (e.g. planting explosives on objectives before evacuating), rescue missions (hostage situations) and extraction missions that require escape.
Can you romance squadmates or deeply explore the world?
No, there aren’t any romance systems or branching paths in Star Wars Zero Company. While we are excited about pushing the genre forward with a more cinematic approach, this is still a turn-based tactics game at its heart where adept skill and strategy are needed to overcome tense combat challenges. That said, there are story moments that can alter based on who you have in your squad, but the overall story is a linear one from beginning to end.
As far as exploration goes, yes, you’ll have the ability to explore a section of some planets prior to engaging in turn-based combat on them. This is a minor facet of the game that we feel adds a unique, immersive quality to Star Wars Zero Company. These small segments are a chance for you, as Hawks, to conduct the espionage that Zero Company excels at, and are main-story-only segments that can affect the subsequent combat by granting Intel and Advantage Points..
Are there different endings to the game based on my choices?
Star Wars Zero Company is a game about choosing different squads, battles, difficulty levels, etc. to see how the narrative will play out. While your choice affects character Bonds and some story elements, because who you have in your squad will be different, the story’s conclusion will be largely the same for everyone.
Will there be any DLC or Post-launch content?
Right now, we're focused on making the best game we can at launch and don't have anything to announce today.
Will there be any additional microtransactions?
No, we don’t have any plans for monetization or microtransactions at this time.

Permadeath is enabled by default but can be toggled off if desired. We encourage you to adjust the settings to create the best experience for yourself. For those interested in trying permadeath in their campaigns, we feel it provides a unique experience of experiencing loss, a core theme of Star Wars, and pushing through that loss to what’s on the other side of the emotional experience.

Meet Zero Company
There are two types of Operators you can have in your company: Authored and Custom. Authored Operators join Zero Company naturally as the story unfolds, while Custom Operators are recruited directly by you and can be fully customized in appearance, clothing, voice, and name. Learn more about the Authored Operators of Zero Company below.
Once a captain in the Grand Army of the Republic, Hawks now leads Zero Company. Clever, cool-headed and decisive, Hawks works with operators from any and all backgrounds, as long as they know how to get the job done.
Trick, also known as CT-3301, is a consummate soldier who loves games of chance. He has been with Hawks since they both served in the Republic military.
The Tognath Jedi Padawan Tel-Rea’s boundless discipline and determination has led her to join Zero Company as she seeks to honor the legacy of her late Jedi Master.
The infamous Cly Kullervo is one of the last surviving members of the ancient Clan Verminoth. She joins Zero Company purely to further her implacable quest for revenge.

Sharp-tongued sniper Luco Bronc defended his home of Umbara during the Republic invasion. Although he has no love for the Republic that defeated and occupied his planet, Luco is willing to set aside his differences to work with Zero Company.
Born into the ruthless noble House Mordant of Shu-Torun, Jae went offworld to build her own mining citadel on Luunata, ruling as its Ore-Baroness until Fathom and the Infinite Coil took the planet for the Separatists. Sophisticated, witty, and relentlessly self-possessed, Jae was instrumental in convincing the Republic to hire Zero Company, and she will not rest until Luunata is hers again.
Kabbney "Kabb" Uppercut is a veteran crook and former prizefighter who now works for Zero Company. The burly Felshi is known for his cybernetic arm, his namesake knockout punch, and his distinctive rhyming dialect. Star Wars Zero Company is the first time we meet a Felshi in the Star Wars galaxy.

In Tactical Missions, you’ll command your squad in intense, turn-based ground combat from an isometric camera perspective. Combat unfolds in turns: your entire squad acts first, followed by the enemy. Each squad member has three Action Points (AP) to spend every turn. Use them to:
Move your Operator between locations on the battlefield. The Action Point cost to move increases depending on the distance traveled.
Attack an enemy within range and line of sight using your weapon. The AP cost varies by weapon type, and some consume all of your available AP. Your Chance-to-Hit is displayed next to the target, and is dependent on several factors, such as range and cover. Additional details about the attack can be found in the Shot Breakdown panel.
Use Overwatch—an Action that lets your Operator fire at any enemy during their turn. Overwatch is placed on an adjustable cone that triggers when an enemy moves through or takes an action in the targeted area. Enemies hit by Overwatch while moving may have their movement interrupted. The Overwatching Operator can fire at a number of enemies based on the amount of AP invested. Your Chance-to-Hit varies based on the length of the Overwatch cone you place down. Using Overwatch immediately ends that Operator’s turn, making it an ideal final Action.
Use a Utility item. Medpacs, Concussion Grenades, and more can be helpful in a pinch, clearing groups of enemies or giving your squad the upper hand. Utilities typically cost one AP to use.
Activate an Ability. These Abilities can increase your Operators’ combat stats, expose an enemy, execute a powerful melee attack that sends foes flying, and much more.
As you can see, there’s quite a lot each Operator can do with their three AP each turn, and Actions can be taken in any order. One tried-and-true strategy is to attack an enemy using your blaster, move to a better cover position, and set up Overwatch to stop the enemy from fully advancing on your position the next turn.
Some Actions, such as Call for Backup, cost no AP. Each turn, Call for Backup allows one random Operator to select a teammate to assist with their next attack, usually by contributing their own firepower to help cut down the target. Use this Action to help overcome especially difficult enemies.
As Zero Company hit the enemy with attacks, you’ll build up Advantage. This resource can be spent to activate some of the game’s most powerful Abilities during combat. Examples include granting an additional AP to an ally for the turn, calling in a devastating rocket strike, temporarily increasing Chance-to-Hit for your entire squad, and taunting nearby enemies to attack a single Operative. You can have a maximum of 10 Advantage at a time.
Advantage doesn’t cost AP to use, so it can be an excellent way to get your team out of a tight situation after all your AP has been spent, or inversely, it can set up a calculated turn of destruction for your squad.
Cover plays a key role in ensuring your Operators don’t end up full of blaster bolts on their first Tactical Mission. Units in partial cover are more difficult to hit, and even harder to hit when in full cover.
Don’t like your odds of hitting an enemy with an attack? Consider flanking them or attacking from higher ground to increase your Chance-to-Hit. Some forms of cover can be destroyed by incoming attacks, so don’t hunker down in one location for too long, or you’ll find yourself completely exposed.
When an Operator loses all their Health, that Operator is Downed and suffers an Injury. Downed Operators can’t take Actions, but can be Rallied by an ally, getting them back in the action.
Injuries negatively impact combat stats and must be managed carefully–accumulating three Injuries results in permanent death on standard difficulty. No Operator Hawks recruits is completely safe from an untimely end.
No single approach is superior. Use a mix of Actions, Advantage, cover, and your Operators’ strengths to come out on top in a firefight. Sometimes you’ll need to think outside the box to dispatch the enemy—one reliable combination is using Tel-Rea’s Force Push ability or Kabb’s Uppercut ability to knock enemies out of cover and into a squadmate’s Overwatch.
The tactical possibilities are endless, and we can’t wait to see what the community comes up with once Star Wars Zero Company launches.
Flex Your Operator’s Specialization
Most Operators have one of eight standard Specializations that define their role. Every Specialization includes three Abilities: an Ultimate, a Standard, and a Passive. These Abilities are unique to each Specialization. Here’s an overview of how each one plays:
Assault: The Assault is a frontline fighter that excels at maneuvering in battle to score medium to close-range kills against targets hiding in cover. Operators trained in this way are lethal opponents.
Gunslinger: The Gunslinger specializes in multi-target blaster attacks and fast strikes that allow them to spread offense across numerous targets.
Heavy: The Heavy is a frontline combatant, thickly armored and tough as nails. These Operators specialize in survivability and soaking up enemy attacks while out in the open.
Medic: The Medic excels at healing and the prevention of Injuries. Medics can also boost their teammates, both physically and psychologically.
Scoundrel: The Scoundrel is a wildcard, adept at taking advantage of situations without much preparation and making the most of every opportunity in combat.
Scout: The Scout is a tactical Operator trained in reconnaissance tactics. Their planning and timing benefit their entire team, creating opportunities where none existed.
Sharpshooter: The Sharpshooter is an expert marksman that excels at long-range engagements, focused on singling out and defeating chosen enemies in battle.
Soldier: The Soldier is a mainstay offensive unit, capable of engaging enemies at close to medium-range with melee, grenades, heavy blaster fire, and a powerful rocket launcher.
Tucked away in a hulking hangar on the Ring of Kafrene, the Den is Zero Company’s home base. From here, you can plot your next incursions, recruit and outfit Operators, treat their Injuries, and prepare for whatever the Infinite Coil may bring. While in the Den, the camera perspective shifts from the isometric overview of the battlefield to third-person perspective.
The Den is also where you can speak with Zero Company members between combat. Check in regularly to learn more about your Operators and their perspectives on unfolding events. Let’s take a tour of the many Facilities within the Command Center and what you can do at each.
Whenever you’re ready to jump into combat via Tactical Missions, begin an Operation, or check Zero Company's Influence, you’ll do it at the Holotable. The Holotable shows all available Operations and Tactical Missions for the current Cycle.
Operations are brief assignments which do not require tactical combat, but aid your team in information gathering, acquiring loot, or just simply replenishing the Den’s modest treasury of Credits, a currency spent in the Command Center. Some Operations require choices that could impact your Bond with other squadmates, or even how the enemy evolves. Operations cost Intel to complete and can provide immediate rewards such as Credits, Weapon Mods, Utilities, and more. Intel is gained by completing Tactical Missions.
Tactical Missions, as described earlier, are ground combat encounters where you will command your squad through intense, turn-based combat, engaging enemy forces, and completing objectives on distant planets, such as Bespin, Dantooine, Lothal, Ryloth and many more. Tie up any loose ends you may have in the Den before launching a Mission, as you will advance to the next Cycle after completion. Tactical Missions can award you with Credits, Weapon Mods, Utilities, Focus Points to upgrade your Operators, Zone Influence and more.
Certain Tactical Missions are Critical to advance the story. Operations and Tactical Missions have a limited time frame to complete before they disappear forever, so choose wisely.
Completing Operations and Tactical Missions will award Zone Influence within the respective region of the planet. Collect enough Influence to unlock Zone Rewards, such as Upgrades, powerful Utilities, Contacts, and Credits. The latter of which can be spent to gain large amounts of Influence.
As your journey to stop the Infinite Coil grows, so will your need to reinforce Zero Company’s roster with courageous recruits. New Custom Operators can be hired from the Recruitment Facility for Credits.
Each Cycle, a selection of new Custom Operators will be available for you to choose from. Custom Operators have their own Name, Talent, Primary Specialization, Weapon type, and backstory they come with, all of which can be further adjusted in the Den after recruitment. Many of these aspects can be altered for Authored Operators as well. If you don’t like the current pool of Operators, you can refresh your choices at will, allowing you to recruit whomever suits the needs of your company best. Alternatively, you can create your own pool of Custom Operators in the main menu for recruitment at this Facility.
The Den initially has limited space for new recruits, indicated by your Roster Capacity, so keep an eye out for opportunities to increase your allotment.
This Facility provides an overview of your Operators’ combat stats, Soldier Bonds, and the Focus Tree. The Focus Tree allows you to spend Focus Points–primarily earned from increasing Bonds– to upgrade the Talents, Abilities, and Passives of your Operator. You can also change most Operators’ Specializations to another one that suits your preferred playstyle from this menu at any time.
The final tab of the Personnel Facility is where you manage Bonds—how much each Operator likes or dislikes the rest of your team. Each pair of Operators begins with an initial relationship, usually neutral or negative. Completing Operations, Tactical Missions, and Calling for Backup are some ways to boost Bonds, and when a Bond increases in level, both Operators can Cross Train to gain a permanent combat stat bonus.
Once a pair reaches the maximum Bond level, they can unlock a special Cross Training that grants masterful benefits through a Passive Ability.
The Bonds of your team can be tested outside of combat as well. At certain points in the story, Hawks will be faced with a Dilemma, an important decision to make. Every Operator in Zero Company will weigh in with their opinion on how to resolve the issue. How you decide to handle the Dilemma may change your Bond with an Operator.
Building strong Bonds between Operators is key to your success in Star Wars Zero Company.
The Armory is your one-stop shop for outfitting Zero Company with deadly gear to overcome any threat in the field.
Weapon Modifications can be slotted into a weapon to alter its stats and apply distinct effects. Each weapon has a set number of Modification Slots, which can be increased throughout the campaign. Every Operative comes with a default weapon, but you can change it in the Armory. There are four Weapon types: Longarm, Repeater, Rifle, and Pistol—each offering advantages suited to different playstyles. And of course, you can customize your weapon’s cosmetic appearance with a variety of blaster models and colors found in the galaxy.
Utilities are equippable items that grant your Operators new abilities in combat, such as Impact Bombs and Concussion Grenades. Depending on an Operator’s Specialization, they can carry one or more Utilities. Outside of Operations and Tactical Missions, Weapon Modifications and Utilities can be purchased from the Black Market in the Armory using Credits.
Mix and match Weapon Modifications and Utilities across your Operators to concoct potent combinations.
The Den has everything you need to begin your campaign, but you’ll need to upgrade your Facilities and troops to stand a chance of stopping Fathom.
The Upgrade Facility allows you to bolster Zero Company’s effectiveness. Here, you can fund improvements to the Den’s existing infrastructure, such as adding a Droid Bay that allows you to recruit Astromech Custom Operators, or purchase roster-wide weapon upgrades that enhance the combat stats of all your Operators. Constructing an upgrade takes at least one Cycle and requires an available Build Slot. Over time, you’ll unlock additional Build Slots, allowing you to construct multiple upgrades at once.
The Medbay allows Operators to recover from Injuries sustained during Operations and Tactical Missions. Standard beds require one cycle to heal, while the Bacta Tank provides instant recovery. Healing an injured Operator costs Credits, so choose when to treat your team wisely.
Swing by the Customization Facility at any time to update your Operators’ appearance and outfits with a variety of cosmetic options. Hawks and Custom Operators can also change their species, choosing from options such as: Devaronian, Human, Mirialan, Togruta, Twi’lek, and Zabrak for Hawks, and Devaronian, Human, Mirialan, Neimoidian, Ovissian, Rodian, Togruta, Twi’lek, Weequay, and Zabrak for Custom Operators.
The Memorial honors Operators who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Visit this facility to reflect on their legacy, and review the stats and accomplishments that defined their service to Zero Company.
