It has been a long time since our last update. We know that many Sect Masters have been worried that we might have abandoned the game and disappeared, but rest assured: we have not given up on The Lost Village.

During this time, most of the studio's efforts have been focused on our new project, Sect Origins. The number of bugs in the project exceeded our expectations, and since our studio consists of only a handful of people, we have been extremely short-staffed. Meanwhile, The Lost Village was originally developed using Unreal Engine 4.26, while the latest version of the engine has now reached Unreal Engine 5.8. Upgrading across several major engine versions brought many problems we had not anticipated. On top of that, much of the early code was painstakingly written line by line, and the original programmer, whose hair was growing thinner by the day, has since gone home to look after his child. This has made many legacy issues particularly difficult to investigate, which is why this update has taken so long.

This is not a large update and mainly focuses on fixes and improvements. We would also like to hear what content everyone is most looking forward to. If you are still encountering bugs or have any suggestions for the game, please let us know in the Discussions. We will continue improving the game as much as circumstances allow. We will also step up development of previously promised content, including the weather system.

【New Content】

Added an “Auto Upgrade” option to the Trial Tower. When enabled, the system will automatically select upgrade effects.

【Bug Fixes】

Fixed an issue that caused Spirit Sword Art to display incorrectly.
Fixed an issue that caused the Sect Support UI to display incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where extended runs in the Immortal-Demon Tower’s Endless Mode could cause the game to crash.

【Improvements】

Removed some obstacles from Sect War maps to reduce cases where characters became obstructed while moving.
New games now begin with bonus Qi Elixirs.
Improved the visual effects of the following 12 skills: Moon Attack, Moon Surround, Moon Fury, Core-fire, Revival, Destroy, Flying Sword, Dawnbreak, Purify, Screaming, Boneyard, and Skyfall Sword.
Made balance adjustments to several skills:
- Xu Mirror (Cooldown: 30 seconds)
  - Party healing: 2% HP → 18% HP
- Nan-Shi (Cooldown: 24 seconds)
  - Summons 5 Dust Swords that descend from above, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area around the caster.
  - Damage per sword: 40% DEF → 300% DEF
- Tian-Ji (Cooldown: 15 seconds)
  - Casts a spell that deals spell damage 5 times to enemies within a small area in front of the caster.
  - Damage per hit: 40% ATK → 60% ATK
- Heavy Sword (Cooldown: 40 seconds)
  - Casts a spell that unleashes a giant sword, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area in front of the caster.
  - Skill damage: 220% ATK → 280% ATK
- Mystic Orb (Cooldown: 30 seconds)
  - Releases 8 Mystic Orbs that pursue their target, each dealing spell damage.
  - Damage per orb: 10% ATK → 30% ATK
- Dust Sword
  - When taking damage, has a chance to release 3 Dust Swords, dealing spell damage to enemies within a medium area around the wielder.
  - Trigger chance: 10% → 20%
  - Damage per sword: 40% DEF → 75% DEF
- Mantra
  - When taking damage, has a chance to apply 1 stack of 【Exhausted】 to enemies within a small area around the wielder.
  - Trigger chance: 20% → 50%
  - Attack Speed reduction: -2 per stack → -5 per stack
  - Duration: 5 seconds → 10 seconds
  - Maximum stacks: 10 → 20
- Growth
  - When taking damage, has a chance to restore the wielder's HP. The amount restored has been changed from a fixed value to a percentage of HP.
  - Trigger chance: 20% → 30%
  - HP restored: Fixed 4 points → 1% HP
  - After this adjustment, the effect will no longer gradually lose its usefulness as the character's Stage increases.
Improved the models of more than 90 buildings, including Celestial Hall, Enclave, Reception, Mill, and Gazebo, making them more detailed while reducing resource usage.

First of all, we sincerely thank all of you for your long-term attention, support and tolerance toward *The Lost Village*. Recently, we've noticed discussions about game updates in the community. We fully understand that some of you have doubts about the promised update content, and even feel we made empty promises. We feel truly apologetic for this, and we completely understand your expectations and dissatisfaction. Here, we sincerely apologize to all waiting and supporting players, and fully synchronize the current update progress, follow-up plans and related recruitment information.

Since the game launch, we have always kept our promises to all players and spared no effort to develop and implement all update content. Up to now, 18 out of the initially promised 20 update contents have been completed smoothly, including sect gameplay optimization, bug fixes, skill expansion, collaboration content updates and many other features you care about. Every update embodies our dedication, and it couldn't have been done without your feedback and company. These completed updates are the concrete proof of us keeping our promises and living up to your trust.

Regarding the two remaining most anticipated unupdated contents — **Creative Workshop** and **Weather System**, we hereby give you a detailed explanation:

We have not shelved these two features. Instead, to bring you a more stable and high-quality gaming experience, we decided to conduct technical verification and polishing for them first in Eastern Era. At present, the Creative Workshop and Weather System have been successfully launched and verified in Eastern Era, with functional stability and gameplay compatibility meeting expectations. The Creative Workshop has finished basic framework construction, as well as testing for mod upload, download and review functions. Final detail refinement and stability optimization are underway to ensure a bug-free and smooth experience upon release.

Moving forward, we will keep focusing on improving the Creative Workshop. Once fully polished and confirmed flawless, it will be launched to *The Lost Village* immediately with all relevant functions unlocked. You will then be able to freely create and share mods, enrich your gaming experience, and build your own immortal cultivation world. After the Creative Workshop goes live, the Weather System will be gradually ported and adapted to meet players soon, bringing realistic day-night cycles, weather changes and seasonal transitions to the sect world.

Besides, there are still some optimization issues, crashes and game freezes in the game, such as bulk selling of magic treasures. We will fix all of these in subsequent updates. Meanwhile, we are sorting out all the pain points raised by players and plan to optimize them one by one.

Meanwhile, to further enrich the mod ecosystem of Eastern Era, discover more outstanding creators, and reserve talents for the subsequent operation of the Creative Workshop in *The Lost Village*, we are officially launching the **Eastern Era Mod Creator Recruitment Program**. Looking back, every line of update notes feels like a shared cultivation diary we wrote together. There were times of waiting, times of doubt—but you never let go of The Lost Village. And we, have never forgotten — each and every one of you.

The Road Ahead, Never Forgotten

Many players have been asking: “What about the things you promised us before? Why haven’t they shown up yet?” The truth is—we haven’t abandoned the game. We’re sorry it’s taken this long. There were technical hurdles, but also because we’ve been experimenting with new ideas we want to bring into The Lost Village.

For example:

We want disciples to be smarter.
We want more interactive details in the world.
We want dynamic weather, four seasons, day and night…

Our plan is to first test these systems in our new project, Eastern Era. Once they’re stable, we’ll bring them back to The Lost Village—bug-free. This includes things you’ve long asked for: new character portraits, new illustrations, Workshop support, and more.

In this martial arts-themed management simulation game, assume the role of a sect leader. As a member of a declining sect, you must flee with your companions and survive in a desolate world, striving to rejuvenate your sect.

In the desolate yet vibrant primal landscapes, disciples will be challenged by needs such as hunger, sleep, and entertainment. They must also withstand the ever-changing weather and natural disasters, maintaining morale against the elements to avoid breakdowns.

Disciples not yet trained in martial arts must tread carefully, as even a single beast can leave lifelong scars on their bodies.

However, the body is the foundation of martial arts. As disciples master internal skills and techniques, their health and physical strength enhance their martial capabilities. Since transitioning from Early Access (EA) to the full release last year, we have been overwhelmed by your support, and we sincerely thank you all. It is this trust from our loyal players that encouraged us to move from EA to a full version.

The game you see today is a collaborative creation borne from working closely with our players, and your insights have taken us further than ever before. While this doesn't mean the game has reached perfection, we are committed to continuously updating and refining it to deliver an immersive cultivation simulation and management experience.

In this update, in addition to enriching the game with new Demon Sect forces and introducing a mysterious guest character (with intriguing storylines), we've focused on easing the burden for players. We're introducing an in-game Editor, along with an official plugin library that includes multiple mod options such as doubling disciple experience, loot, and boss rewards. I. New Version "Three Realms' Lost Sects" August Sneak Peek

Legend says Pangu separated the three realms when he created the heaven and earth: one for heaven, one for humans, and one for earth. Heaven is noble, earth is humble, and humans live in between.
At that time, the three realms were not distinct, and the Fuso Tree connected heaven and earth, leading to frequent conflicts and even wars among the three realms.
One day, the Fusang Tree broke, dropping countless demons and gods into the mountains and seas, making it difficult for the three realms to communicate since then...
After a thousand years, humans sought to ascend to heaven, thus the methods of cultivation and alchemy were discovered.
People thought this was the only way, but in the vast mountains and seas, there is a wonder "Lingxiao Hall" that leads directly to heaven.

Unlock the world mission "Three Realms' Lost Sects": Triggered after occupying 70% of the cities in the Outer world.

Unlock the world mission "Three Realms' Lost Sects": Triggered after occupying 70% of the cities in the Outer world.
After unlocking, three hidden forces will appear in the Mountains and Seas world: Fuso Immortal Sect, Demon Crow Sect, and Blizzard Sect.
These three hidden forces have powerful realms and their unique techniques, challenging them is not an easy task.
After obtaining their treasures (Fuso Tree, Golden Crow, Snow Essence), you can go to unlock the wonder: Sky Palace.
Sky Palace is unlike ordinary buildings; it floats above the sect and brings new miracles to the sect with each upgrade, such as all disciples obtaining the skill "Celestial Shield," or a 15% chance each year to automatically receive 2 orange techniques, and so on.

Greetings to everyone!

We are delighted to share our update with you, our next major update has been updated, and is released to the full version on Today.

This update is the long-awaited: Offspring System.

In line with our principle of rewarding players and enriching the gaming experience, this update will be directly integrated into the main game, and the Offspring System will no longer be released as a DLC but will be updated for free into the main game. Once the update is available, you can experience it by updating your game.

Here's the Offspring System:

I. Obtaining Offspring

1. Build an Academy

Find "Academy" in the research technology tree and unlock it. After building the Academy, the offspring feature will be enabled.

2. Pregnancy

After dual cultivating with partner, there is a high chance for the female to become pregnant.
Disciples may develop feelings for each other, with a certain chance for the female to become pregnant.
Once pregnant, the female will inform the sect leader through a message.
During pregnancy, the female cannot participate in work or battles.

II. Offspring Training

1. Innate Talent

Talent Rating (represents the potential range of attainable cultivation quality): From UR to Normal
An offspring's initial talent rating is mainly determined by their parents' cultivation quality, with a minor influence from their initial potential.

2. Potential

Potential Rating (represents the current level of potential): Excellent > Above Average > Average > Below Average > Poor
Offspring will initially possess some potential, but most will be rated as Poor.
Potential will influence the life choices available to the offspring, which will shape their growth direction.
Potential will be directly inherited after the offspring reaches adulthood.

3. Personality Cultivation

Personalities are divided into three main categories: Valiant, Agile, and Steady, each containing several different personality types.
An offspring's initial personality is randomly generated and will be reflected in their overall evaluation description.
The three personality types are mutually exclusive; as one type is cultivated and becomes more prominent, the other two types will be suppressed.

4. Trait Cultivation

You can assign a master to the offspring, and upon being accepted as a disciple of the sect after reaching adulthood, they will randomly inherit one trait from their master.
You can cultivate up to 4 trait specializations simultaneously, but they can only be obtained after their respective progress bars are at least partially filled.
Studying different types of trait cultivation manuals will increase the corresponding trait specialization that is currently being cultivated.

III. Family Tree

The offspring interface will display the parents, siblings, and other relatives directly related to the character.
The disciple log will show the character's ancestors, parents, spouse, siblings, and children.
If a family member's portrait is grayed out in the family tree, it indicates that they have passed away.

IV. Taoist Body

Initially, three Red Taoist Body will be available, representing the highest-level realms. In subsequent updates, we will gradually introduce new red super traits, techniques, and realms.
Currently, Red Taoist Body realms can only be obtained through offspring.
