Welcome to the first ever devlog about Coffeehouse Simulator game !!!

In this devlog, we'll be discussing the process of creating a 3D graphic for our first ever coffee machine and building the environment for our coffee shop!

Creating the environment for our coffee shop was a fun job.
We wanted players to feel immersed in a cozy and vibrant coffeehouse setting, complete with tables, chairs, counters, and other elements typically found in a bustling café.

To better understand how the typical "coffeehouse" feels, our graphics and level artists visited some places in city :D
The sight of such bars, cafes, bakeries, etc. helped us understand how to make this environment so "fiery" and "chill"

Our level designer drank 6 coffees in one day !!! Such a dedication! (mostly he drinks around 5)

Now it's time to show you how we made this :D

Creating the 3D Coffee Machine

First you need some schematics, see how measurements show it have etc.
Coffeehouse is a realistic game - most parts need to be in realistic scale.
To make our coffeehouse experience authentic, we started by researching different coffeemaker models and collecting reference pictures to help our design process.
We even have a coffee machine in our office :D
Everyone can use it (but no one wants to clean it ;/)

Schematics are important

Here you can see some assembly progress in accelerated form :D
I could put the whole thing in a GIF :D

We paid close attention to every intricate detail, from the buttons and knobs to the steam wand and portafilter. We are using a Blender 3d software.

And now In color :D
"Goldenish-brown" - thats how i call it :D

After several iterations and refinements, we completed the 3D model of the coffee machine.
After modeling, the graphic designers made sure to optimize the mesh and texture resolution to ensure smooth performance in the game engine.
This is an important part of game development!!! You need to get rid of "technical debt" as soon as possible!
