Since the enchanting unveiling of Master of Magic in December 2022, our journey has been nothing short of mystical. Together, we have delved deep into the arcane depths of the game, unearthing treasures, engaging in battles with formidable sorcerers, and conjuring spells of unparalleled potency.
Currently, we have no plans for additional DLC or extra content. Nonetheless, we remain devoted to cultivating and enriching this cherished universe.
MuHa Games, an independent studio, is now exploring new horizons with their own projects. We are truly grateful for their work in bringing a fresh perspective to this remake of a classic from the 90s. We are curious to know what they have in store and wish them all the best.

We are pleased to announce a new update. Please see the patch notes below for the details:
The AI Improvements include:
- Changes to AI ability to traverse water including fixes to transport settlers targeting oversea locations
- Treaty evaluation improved and relying on relationship as gain from the treaty is beneficial regardless of the situation
- Visual Feedback within treaty requests helping the player decide when they are ready to ask for the Treaty
- Visual Feedback within conversation after diplomatic actions resulted in relationship change.
- Visual Feedback within diplomatic trade to the relationship as a result of a trade and changes to the trade evaluation. Including Fear and Relationship influencing trade acceptance, and potential of an acceptance of a tribute or unfavourable trade.
- Changes to city defences, towns should have sensible armies defence appropriate to AIs current production ability.
- Fixed AI danger rank estimation for towns which used incorrect scale and was either in peace mode or panic mode without ability to manage intermediate stages
- Fixed AI relationship change on one side only, which could result on later override from the other side and loss of data (negative or positive change that was initially applied)
- Changes to an AI war trigger level opening more space for diplomatic efforts (Note, Master AI will still be extremely aggressive from the start, but you will be able to bribe them for a while).
- Changes to an AI treaty offer levels opening more space for player initiative (Ai is willing to accept treaty earlier, but have smaller chance to offer treaty on their own)
- Visual improvements to show the current status of a relationship with the AI. Those include a relationship metre in trade window and visual aids on the diplomacy screen (glowing eyes, text coloured to match the eyes)
- Making the Spell of Mastery more attractive for the AI to cast and research
- Improved AI city defences
- Improved AI’s ability to manage their units
General fixes and improvements:
FIX Defeated wizards no longer own nodes they melded (nodes turn neutral)
FIX Black Channelling cannot be cast on Chaos Channelled units
FIX Difficulty settings not being correctly loaded between games (this should also fix the problem with town distance being 4 even if the player changed it to 5 in a new game)
FIX Wasteful frame end call from doomstack which fails to happen in some cases (minimal performance tweak in late games)
FIX Ruins spawned after cities destroyed by neutral groups showed a location marker but shouldn't
FIX Trait enchantments on captured towns, after taking town enchantments from seamaster or power for people is delated.
FIX AI trying to dispel worthless targets - AI do not try to dispel non battle enchantments any more
FIX Tweak battle HUD death animation
FIX Death units in battle won't update MPs anymore
FIX Death units under mind control effect won't change side anymore
FIX Miners Guild no longer mines fish and the such...

However, for Belit, damnation was not a hindrance but an opportunity. She embraced her new state and is determined to challenge anyone who perceives it as a weakness. The Pirate Queen has a penchant for raising cities, and she rewards those who follow in her footsteps.
Legend has it that Belit led the first orcs onto the seas in an act of rebellion, breaking away from orc traditions and her husband, Bladud, who later embraced necromancy. When the sea curse befell the rebels, some believed that Belit's defiance of old gods and the vows of loyalty as queen and love brought their wrath. Another tale attributes her eventual fall to unquenchable ambition and an insatiable thirst for treasure. Some even insist that it was Bladud himself who cursed his wife and those who betrayed him. Belit, however, dismisses these stories with laughter.
She wields the powers of Death and Sorcery, aiming to display the might of her cursed destiny.
Pirate: The Pirate Wizard thrives on conquest and raids, offering additional bonuses and rewards for raising enemy cities. Successful raids provide mutated and indentured workers. This approach garners fame for their destructive exploits but results in fame loss if they decide to keep a city. With such aggressive tactics, a unique gameplay experience awaits.

We are excited to reveal that the Master of Magic free Halloween update is now out. Get ready to experience the thrills, chills, and magical abilities that this captivating update has to offer.
Bladud was formerly a strong orc general, but he became a legendary figure and was known as a powerful Wizard. He governed his orc clan for decades alongside his powerful queen, Belit. Still, they were both disappointed by the apathy that had engulfed their nation. Once renowned for their fierce fury and brutal strength, orcs had learned to be good at everything yet excelled at nothing.
Belit and Bladud had different ideas about what lay ahead for their people. Bladud saw the wisdom in their people's development and tranquility, while Belit yearned to return to the old ways of war and pillage. Rather than going back in time, he looked for ways to strengthen the orcs without sacrificing their newly discovered nature. As a result, he became proficient in the Death art of Orcmancy, a talent devoted to the advancement of the orc race.
Bladud is armed with Death Magic Books and has an unusual ability called "Orcmancer." This ominous method only gives the orc race more power. Under Bladud's leadership, orcs acquire an immunity to death and the ability to steal life from their adversaries. Furthermore, for each defeated orc in combat, the Wizard gains Casting Skill.
The Master of Magic Halloween update offers new gameplay enhancements and a delightfully eerie atmosphere that will enchant you as the leaves turn to shades of crimson and gold.

Once a fearsome orc general, Bladud ascended to legendary status and eventually became a renowned Wizard, sought after for his extraordinary powers. Alongside his fierce queen, Belit, he ruled over his orc kin for centuries. Yet, both king and queen were dissatisfied with the docile nature of their people, who were now known for being good at everything, yet good at nothing.
While Belit yearned to return to the old ways of war and pillage, Bladud saw the wisdom in his people's growth and calm. Instead of reverting to the past, he looked to the future, seeking ways to empower the orcs without forsaking their newfound nature. Bladud mastered the Death art of Orcmancy, a gift dedicated to the upliftment of the orc kind!
Bladud wields Death Magic Books and possesses a unique trait known as "Orcmancer." This foreboding technique empowers only the orc race. Orcs under Bladud's command become immune to death, capable of stealing life from their enemies. Moreover, the Wizard gains Casting Skill for every fallen orc in battle!

MOD Changed town growth multiplier setting to show 'x1.0' instead of '---'
MOD Changed name of an artefact (Mace of the Sorcerer -> Wand of the Sorcerer) as the item was defined as a wand in DB
MOD Changed wording of minimum town distance messages to avoid confusion
FIX Regression crash resulting from units calling formation update before they are registered in battle
FIX Group selected at town location attacking group next to it being dissolved when battle map is loaded resulting in units dying as a result
FIX You will no longer be able to take a trait without having the prerequisites, simply by changing the screen, or selecting one trait before another
FIX AI unit is no longer able to cast spell even if has no Caster skill, but has mana from item
FIX Orichalchum should always work now
FIX You can no longer get an existing/dead hero as a location reward
FIX Hero from event and spells get extra skills from traits
FIX Non lair unit exclusions
FIX A crash after casting planar travel on units located in towns and not moving them before end of turn
