WHAT'S CHANGED
Save data location has moved from being machine-user-specific (Local Data) to being Steam-user-specific (Steam Data). Save data contains information about theme preferences, game options, puzzle pack progress, high scores, and achievement progress. It does not contain information pertaining to Daily Challenge leaderboards.
The Local Data is stored in the old location:
%AppData%\..\LocalLow\Phantom Compass Inc_\Triversal\SaveData.dat
The Steam Data is stored in the new location (with {SteamID} representing the user's Steam ID):
%AppData%\..\LocalLow\Phantom Compass Inc_\Triversal\{SteamID}\SaveData.dat
To determine a specific user's Steam ID:
1. Open and sign into the Steam client.
2. In the top right, select the drop-down arrow next to the current user's display name, and select "Account details".
3. Find the current user's Steam ID displayed (as a usually 17-digit number) directly beneath the user's username at the top of this page.
By default, your Steam Data will automatically be copied from the Local Data present on the first machine used to launch and run the latest version of the game. If no data is available on that machine, then the Steam Data will be automatically created as if the user is launching the game for the first time.
WHAT TO DO
For users who play the game on a single non-shared machine:
1. Launch the game as normal on the machine you normally play on - your Local Data will automatically upgrade to Steam Data, and will then be synced to that account on all machines that you later play on.
For users playing on a machine with existing Local Data who want to start the game fresh:
1. Temporarily move the Local Data file out of the above old location before launching (and later exiting) the game on your account.
2. Verify the existence of your account's Steam Data at the above new location.
3. Return the original Local Data file to its original location, allowing other Steam users to generate Steam Data from it.
For users who have generated their Steam Data using Local Data from the wrong machine:
1. Sign in on the machine with the correct Local Data.
2. Perform a Steam Cloud sync (this can be triggered by signing in, then launching and exiting the game).
3. Copy the Local Data from the old Local Data location to the new Steam Data location corresponding to this user's account.
4. Launch the game again.
5. If prompted to resolve a Steam Cloud sync conflict, choose "Upload local files" to overwrite the incorrectly upgraded data.
