Due to demand to continue the story, I have decided not to abandon those who have actually read into the story and invested a bit of their time. But, there will be major changes.

It will not be episodes. Just one full story.
The alternative time lines will not continue. The story will be a 'cut and paste' of the book.
It will not have voice acting or music.
It will be paid. The price will be under 10USD and no steam keys will be given. But, for those who have asked for a continue, or voiced dismay, they will be gifted by me.
It will be a kinetic novel with no choices.
It will use STEAM functionality and features, such as Achievements.
The book is 500 pages for the Epic core story. As you read you will earn tokens "keys" to unlock scenes not in the book, such as expanded sex scenes, viewpoints, perspectives and locations.
The product will use a new steam ID and be separate from this one. This version will be kept online as long as Steam allows. Steam will be the only official place to get The Surfeit: Episode 1. While The Surfeit: Complete will be available on other platforms, It will have less content and be considered a ' lite ' version.
The Surfeit: Complete has a release window of 2024 after the 2023 release of the paperback and ebook versions. Special rewards will be given to those inside The Surfeit: Complete for purchasing the book or ebook.
In closing, I would like to thank those who have supported The Surfeit in all its forms, whether it was done publicly, privately or silently. I'm proud to have met you through this work. I applaud those who have played, streamed and openly enjoyed the adult content, despite the stigma society has placed on adult fiction and porn.
To those who have reinforced that stigma, hindered the progress, or hated and harassed those that have partaken in it, I give you a hearty...

Yo, Everyone! Feedback update is now LIVE. START AGAIN is now available on start. No more glitch where it would get stuck and never show itself. It is now a permanent part of the select screen. This skips credits, background of planet and the battle of Tern. UNLOCK all points of

Feedback update is now LIVE.

START AGAIN is now available on start. No more glitch where it would get stuck and never show itself. It is now a permanent part of the select screen. This skips credits, background of planet and the battle of Tern.
UNLOCK all points of change by clicking on Elyssia's necklace. Also, you will be given a choice to reveal solutions to hidden events which require more then one toggle for use with the rewind menu.
SAVE SLOTS have been increased by three times. Now 15 instead of 5. Please note: Save states retain the variables which were saved and cannot be used with rewind. You have to go back to the beginning of a story and use skip to see changes.
TYPOS! Many typos have been corrected, but not all. My eyes gloss over a lot of them. If you wish to report one, a screenshot will not help. Nothing is copy-paste and each story has it's own text, even though it is the same event. To Report: Go to the community hub, post in the topic typos, or create your own topic, and put which story and which location. example: Hino the cafe. This will help me greatly with corrections, as I don't have to look through three different cafe scripts.
SEX SCENES! Since the focus is not on sex, as this is not a porn game, sex scenes have not been changed, lengthened or written to be more erotic. Sex and nudity in the Elronde Commonwealth is extremely common place, much like going to eat at a restaurant. As a storyteller, I elected to not spend thousands of words describing how good a piece of meat tastes or feels on the tongue.
If you do not see the START AGAIN option at bottom center on the select screen, you have to reinstall.
Demo for episode 2 will be available in late August. Episode 2 is planned for an OCT/NOV release.

MAJOR UPDATE!

Due to the two pieces of detailed feedback I have received since January , an update to the visual novel is coming within a fortnight. (two weeks)
Here is what is getting worked on...

START AGAIN. Start again is broken. It is an option at the bottom of the select screen as seen in the rewind video tutorial on youtube. It should appear after your first playthough and allow you to skip through credits, story, the battle of Tern and planet background. These unskippable scenes were only supposed to be that way for the first playthrough only. This worked properly in the demo, but got broke somehow. I discovered this major blunder myself. To Fix this issue, START AGAIN option will be static on the select screen. This will allow you to skip the opening credits, overarching story, battle of Tern and planet background. Skipping over the 'encyclopedic exposition'
CONTROL. Space bar will be added to right mouse and enter as progress keys.
TEXT Many typos will be corrected. But since my eyes will skim over some of them, some will survive.
STEAM OVERLAY I don't know how this quite works yet, but I would like to include it in this update.
UNLOCKS On the current live build, if you click on Elyssia's jeweled necklace on the select screen, all points of change will be unlocked. In update, story events that require multiple points to be triggered will now have an option to have the trigger solutions displayed. This will make viewing certain events such as, the foursome in the cafe, Azalea's escape from chains, or Flora's murder much easier to enjoy. (or know the exist)
