[Major Update] Endless Mode now available
Hello Hot Pot for One players, I hope your 2026 is off to a wonderful start :) It’s been a while since the last update. To be honest, for a long time I didn’t think that there would be another one of those…Not because the game was perfect, or that I didn't care about it anymore.

It’s been a while since the last update. To be honest, for a long time I didn’t think that there would be another one of those…Not because the game was perfect, or that I didn't care about it anymore. If anything, it was the opposite, maybe I cared too much.
There were so many things that I wanted to add, so many ways the game could be better. But as one solo dev working on this as a passion project, I had so little time and energy. After the February 2022 update, I had to step away from it for a while, so that I could recover and live life. Every once in a while I would think about coming back and adding new features, but I just wasn’t ready.
Until a random summer day in 2025.
I woke up that morning and thought: maybe I’m ready to make Hot Pot for One again.
I decided to work on it slowly on the weekends, so that I could get closure. To stop wondering what the game could have been, and let it become what it’s meant to be.
What’s New In This Update
Endless Mode
One of the most requested features is a sandbox mode where you could eat without limits. I am happy to share that Endless mode is now available to play. You could enjoy all the food on the plate, reorder for more, without the guilt of wasting anything xD.
New Original Soundtrack
I had the joy of collaborating with talented composer and jazz pianist Yusi Liu to create a brand-new soundtrack for Endless Mode.
This was my first time working on interactive music, and it was a fun and inspiring experience. Yusi’s piano solo blows my mind every time I hear it. I highly recommend hopping into the game with headphones on and giving it a listen.
Chinese Language Support
Another important update: the game is now available in Chinese.
As a native Chinese speaker making a game about Chinese food, I really wanted to make it available in Chinese so it’s accessible to more Chinese-speaking players. I’m proud to announce that this is finally part of the game.
MacOS Support
Happy to announce that this game is now available on MacOS as well.Took a while to make sure everything could run smoothly. So excited to finally share with mac players!
Other small but important updates:
-Steam Achievement unlocked upon finishing Story mode.
-Save Game feature
-Bug fixes
That’s everything in this update. I don’t know when we’ll meet again, but hopefully it won’t take too long :)
