We’ve been busy stuffing the cabin with candy.
Not the safe kind, either.
All over the forest, you’ll now find shiny little sweets that do things.
You won’t know what until you eat them. Some make you lightning fast.
Some make you violently regret your choices.
And sometimes it is just candy.
We’re not saying it’s balanced. We’re saying it’s Halloween.
There are also some decorations scattered around. The cabin looks like it’s been decorated by someone who didn’t survive the process, which feels right.
The event runs until November 7th. After that, the candy disappears, and you can go back to pretending to trust your friends again.

The Halloween update is now live. For the following weeks the game will include the following:
🎭 New special Halloween “hat” that's only available during the event (look at the key art for a hint).
🎃 The cabin has received Halloween decorations.
🍬 A new item, Old Candy, is available during the event. Don't eat it though, the effects are VERY strange🤣
In addition, the update has the following fixes:

The doors in the smaller huts are fixed
Specate now shows dead people correctly
Fixed issue where you sometimes did not get the hat you chose in-game
Rembers what hat you have when coming back into the lobby

The update fixes the following issues:

The hat you selected in the lobby would sometimes not carry over into the game
Removed XP. It did not serve any point. The idea was for it to unlock that hats, but then we added coins which we thought was much more fun. But we forgot to remove the hats 😅
Health is no longer less than 0 in the result screen, and we also removed the + when you had negative karma.
Added the first batch of streams to the game's credits
Dying on beartraps would spawn many backpacks and cause the game to slow down

Fixed so you can not go to sleep if you are trapped in a beartrap
Added a small delay to ‘extinguish fire’ to reduce the chance of clicking on it by accident
You will wake up when your fatigue is restored

Back with an update fixing an important issue creating problems for streamers, as well as some visual improvements that should make it even more fun taking out your friends.

Fixed issue where more people than allowed could join the lobby, causing the game to crash.
Join public game list now shows the correct amount of players in the game
Blood hit effect when hitting someone with your fist, we also tweaked the effects when getting hit with weapons for a more dramatic effect.
People that are poisoned now have a green particle effect.
The camera stays at the current position when switching between following and freecam in graveyard spectator mode.

Fixed issues where players would be able to move while stuck in a beartrap after a vote
Fixed issue where the result of a vote would not work if a dead person was not yet announced
Bots now are better at surviving
Removed number of players in lobby selection. It isn't working as intended, so we will put it back up once it is showing the actual people that are in a game.
Wolves now change target, depending on who is closest. We had a lot of fun while testing out this improvement. Did not expect Wolves.
