Fixed a bug causing the yearly reported profit per vehicle not to be updated correctly under certain circumstances. This value can be viewed in the vehicle dialog under 'other'.
Fixed a problem causing small white lines to be drawn sometimes on some sytems next to buildings with the recently updated graphics drivers of a certain hardware developer.
Fonts are now much smoother in some places
The animation for the car factory sometimes wouldn't be synced up the the actual waiting amount of cars in its storage. This is fixed now.
Adjusted train horn sounds a bit for trains slightly out of the visible area

After 2 years in development and 10 updates during Early Access, Cargo Company is finally out of early access! Thank you all very much who supported the development of the game with your feedback, bug reports and suggestions!
Recap
Since the first public beta, the game has been improved quite a lot. It looks like quite a different game since the first public release. Here is a short list of the major features which were added during the last year:

We added Mars, Ceres, Europa and Titan as playable planets to the game
Competitor AIs - both for rocket and train lines
Tunnels
Research
More train and truck vehicle types
Advanced resource loading settings
New city buildings
Station replacement tool
Terrain generation options
Tons and tons of gameplay tweaks
Changes in this update:

The automatic railroad laying algorithm has been improved a bit to handle specific special situations better.
The competitor AIs now sometimes use more aggressive and better routes for building their transportation lines
You can now colonize Ceres and Titan now a bit earlier
Autofocus change in the line manager is more smooth now
Dragging the view with the right mouse button (or trackpad) is now nicer on notebooks/laptops
Minor bugfixes
What's Next?
Of course this is not the end: We will now be focusing on bugfixing, but still eventually add more features if enough people suggest them. Maybe we can add more train and truck models? Maybe even another planet? We will see!

Competitors now also build railways and train lines. Note: If you want to have competitor companies in your game, you need to start a new game.
Competing AIs are now enabled by default when starting a new game. You can disable this in the 'advanced options' when starting the game.
Rail tracks now have markers on the left and right next to them, indicating which company owns the rail tracks.
The close button of dialogs no longer is hidden when the name of a building was set to very, very long.
Smaller changes like the advanced settings dialog when starting a new game can also now be closed using a small 'x' icon on the top right
The initial amount of money has been increased a bit for new games
Various gameplay adjustments here and there

Competitor AIs The game now has competitor company AIs. This first version only has one single competitor, and it only focuses on building launch pads and rockets for transporting cargo between Earth, Moon, Mars, etc. You need to manually enable this feature when starting a new game (under "Advanced options"). The next update will likely introduce additional AIs which will then also building competing train lines.
The company name can now be changed during the running game in the company details dialog. This dialog is also useful for changing the color of the company train line markers and building labels. Simply click onto the displayed money value on the top right in the game screen to open this dialog.
You can now list all the vehicles of your competitors in the vehicle overview dialogs by selecting the first filter combo box and choosing "competitors". This is very useful to get an overview of your competitors.
Fixed a translation error in the rocket module for transporting colonization equipment
Competing companies can also use government subventions now.
Smaller performance improvements here and there.

Adjusted gameplay values everywhere A lot of the internal simulation values have been fine tuned now according to player feedback - from how much you earn by transporting specific types of cargo to how long a train waits for loading to how a industry facility rises its productivity rate to how many rocket launches a rocket can do.
Advanced game option: research There is now an advanced option when starting a new game: You can now start with nearly no trains and trucks and rockets researched, only the very basic models are available then.
Tunnels now look a lot nicer - both the graphics and rendering technique have been polished quite a bit
Industry productivity fix Some industries weren't growing correctly when when lines where set to "wait until full", this is fixed now. If you had a game where an industry didn't grow nicely for some unexplained reason, run it again and wait a few weeks in game time, then that industry should go into full production mode correctly now.
Building rails and streets on top of corn fields no longer makes the track look skewed. (Note: existing rail tracks need to be replaced if you already have skewed ones)
Fixed a bug where trains could move from one tunnel tube to another one sometimes. This is no longer possible.
Preparation for competition companies You can only see this in the new advanced settings tab, but the game internally has been adjusted to support competition AI players. They are not there yet, but will be likely in one of the next updates.
Fixed sound of some trains when being used on the moon

Tunnels You can now place tunnels in the game. Both railway tunnels and road tunnels are possible, on earth, the moon, mars and all other planets. Tunnels behave a bit different than bridges and can for example be stacked on top of each other. Tunnel entries and exits need to be placed at straight upward slopes, and a quite a bit more expensive than for example streets. This now opens a lot new possibilities in the game, and I hope you have fun with this new feature. Please note: Although tunnels have been thoroughly tested, there still might be bugs in edge cases. If you discover a problem, please report it!
Productivity change and tooltip Productivity increases have been adjusted slightly for some industries. Also, there is now a hint as tooltip over the productivity display of industry buildings, showing the exact current productivity value and giving a hint how you can influence this.
Town growth adjusted If you don't expand your transportation capabilities in the area of a town, large towns will now continue to grow a bit regardless, making the game a bit more realistic and fun to play.
Fixed a small bug causing sound ouput to stutter in the first seconds of the game on some systems
Other smaller improvements here and there

Tool to replace stations It is now possible to replace train stations easily: If you want to resize or re-orient a train station, just build a new train station with the wanted dimensions on top of the old one. Lines, Names, Railway schedules etc will be adjusted automatically then. If you have reduced the platform count, you might need to assign a new desination platform occationally, but that's it.
Hill generation setting You can now set a value for the amount of hills you want to be generated when starting new maps. Some people wanted more flat landscapes, this is possible now. But you can also choose to have a more difficult gameplay by setting the map to have more hills now.
Keyboard Shortcuts This update includes the first support for keyboard shortcuts: There are now shortcuts for building rails, streets, bridges, signals, landscaping, etc and for bulldozing. They are shown as tooltip when the tool is selected. They cannot yet be mapped to other keys, but this is also planned for a next update. If you want a specific missing keyboard shortcut, please let us know.
Transparency adjusted When placing new buildings, or using the option for showing all buildings transparently, buildings are now slightly less transparent. That way you can also better still see the trees when you place your buildings in a forest.
More hints at the end of tutorial To give players new to this genre a quick overview on how to play the game, the mail box now gets a mail with next useful steps to do once the tutorial is finished.
Bug fixed: When you placed a road depot sideways next to a road, trucks and busses coming out of that road depot where able to drive through the side wall of that building. For new road depots placed on the map, this is fixed now. Exising buildings keep this "feature", in case this causes busses not to be able to reach their destination anymore, so that you don't looks revenue. If you don't like this, simply bulldoze your road depot and then rebuild it.
Bug fixed: The descriptions for 'raise terrain' and 'lower terrain' were missing. This is fixed now.
Bug fixed: When the game runs in spanish, the load/save game dialog displayed invalid characters for empty save/load game slots.
Thanks for all the feedback so far! We've implemented the most requested features in this update, but more is coming soon.

The first real update of "Cargo Company" is now available, after the hotfix last week, with a handful of improvements and bug fixes.

Increased FPS by 150% The frames per second value the game was originally trying to achieve was 40, but a lot of users considered too low, so the value has now been adjusted to be 60 fps. This was a not that easy change to implement, and we tested the game quite a lot after this, and everything seems to run nicely. If you still have performance problems, take a look if you have GSync enabled. Then disable it, and the game should run fine.
Trees are now also drawn transparent when building something, and when using the option to draw buildings transparent. You can now more easily see where you place your rails and streets even if there is a large forest.
After finishing the tutorial, you now get a mail which lets you know about the manual in the main menu, and a button to open it directly within the game (without the need to open the main menu)
The game manual has been extended with a lot of tips, and is now also available in frensh and spanish, in addition to the previous english and german. You can find it in the main menu under "game manual".
When a rocket exploded on a launch pad, that launch pad wasn't usable anymore sometimes. This is fixed now.
Fixed a bug in the train pathfinding and reservation algorithm, causing some trains to wait unnecessarily for other trains which are still very far away, or even loading cargo. This now improves all your train routes a bit automatically, and will likely cause you to earn a bit more when you are using many trains sharing a track.

Hotfix 1.0.1
Fixed a bug causing SMT Livestock trucks not to be purchaseable. Instead, buying them would result in getting a truck for delivering steel. This is no longer the case now. Fixed finances screen showing 0 in the "income/expenses this/last week" section. Now the correct values are

Periodic autosaves are now disabled and only done when leaving the game into the main menu.
When playing the game on very large screens with specific hardware, some users report that the game FPS drops for them. This includes a fix which might improve this situtation for at least some users. If you also encounter that, and this fix doesn't improve the situation for you, it might help to disable NVidia's GSync on your system. We are also working on some additional improvements which sets the FPS at a much higher level by default (the game right now tries to maintain a value of 40 FPS, which some players feel it is too low for them. But this requires a lot of testing and will take a week or two.).

The game is playable for lots of hours, you can create large transportation companies with many trains, trucks, busses and of course rockets.
Thanks to the feedback from the preorders and beta testers, we tweaked a few gameplay values, added some more train and rocket models, a few more buildings and more.
Details here:

The ESEP6 (previously ICEE 6) train is now a bit larger and faster
Profit for cargo transported via rockets between planets is a bit larger now
There are a lot of new city buildings for larger cities
Settlements on moon, mars and other planets now have more realistic ambient sounds
Cities now grow a bit denser when they become large
The town and industry dialog filter now always selects the current planet by default
Building wind power plants now improves your rating
Train expenses and prices for transported goods have been adjusted a bit - you no longer get very rich that fast
Building costs for building diagnoal rail tracks are now displayed correctly before building
Added translations for Spanish, Russian and French
Fixed the problem that a growing city sometimes decided to delete a bus or train station of the player in order to place a nicer building there
Terraforming facilities are now correctly listed in the overview dialog for industries
Fixed a problem where very small towns sometimes wouldn't grow
Please note:
If you participated in the beta, your savegames still will work, but please note that some graphics in some of the cities have changed quite a bit, and thus some buildings in your cities from games from the beta might look a bit destroyed. You can fix how your cities are looking by deleting the ugly looking building manually using the bulldozer tool, and it should be replaced with a nicer looking one.

Cargo Company Beta 2 and Release Date Announcement
Cargo Company beta 2 is now available and playable, if you preordered the game: You can now access the second beta of the game with the Demo steam key you already have. Just start the "Cargo Comapany Demo" from Steam, (and update the game if necessary), then the Beta will start.

Also, the exact release date of the game is now public: The game will release on the 2nd of September. Only 4 weeks until the release!
New in this update:

Research dialog
New vehicles can now be actively researched using the research dialog. They will no longer be automatically unlocked based on time.

Mars and all other planets are enabled in the game now
You can now reach Mars (by delivering enough cargo to the space agency facilities) and then send rockets there, or create bus and train lines on this planet. All the other planets are also available now.

More vehicle types
There are now a lot of more types of trains and other vehicles available in the game. See the new research dialog for a list.

Advanced resource loading settings
There is now another load /unload mode per stop, where you can specify which exact resource types to unload and which to load. You can also specify for each resource type if the resource should be loaded full. This makes it possible to create more complex lines with interim storages in between, especially between multiple planets.
Towns now rate transportation companies. You cannot destroy town buildings anymore if your rating in the town is very bad.
Rockets won't load resources from warehouses to bring them to the same planet they just just delivered them from anymore.
Newer and larger rockets are now much faster travelling between planets
Line manager dialog now doesn't hide the 'add line' button anymore when there are more than 12 lines.
The colonization of mars is now a bit quicker available
Changed the sound notifying important changes to the simulation system
Fixed a bug causing some road depots not to work when they where rotated in certain directions
Fixed z-Order problems in truck and bus stops
Fixed a bug causing waiting facility for passengers not to accept passengers sometimes
