Trek to Yomi is a cinematic action-adventure game that follows Hiroki during his fall against the forces of evil. He returns to make good on his failed promise to save the people he swore to protect as a vow to his dying Master. Bound to this duty, the samurai and his sword must voyage beyond life and death to decide his path forward.

Greetings Samurai! In today’s patch we are addressing the game’s combat system and more! As you can see in the patch notes, there are several changes done to the parry and counter attack system as well as other combat changes. We really hope that they are move in the right direct
Greetings Samurai! In today’s patch we are addressing the game’s combat system and more!
As you can see in the patch notes, there are several changes done to the parry and counter attack system as well as other combat changes. We really hope that they are move in the right direction and that you- the players, will approve those changes. We are looking forward to your feedback, so make sure to share your experience with the new patch, here on Steam or on our Discord Server!
Without further delays here is the changelog:
Improvements to Counter/Parry tutorial part were made:
- Time stops and the tutorial pauses for the moment of the 1st successful Parry
- Time stops and the tutorial pauses again, for the moment of the 1st successful Counter
Counter attacking was tweaked:
- Slow motion was removed after successful Parry to make counter attacking easier
- Successful Counter attack can be now performed slightly earlier
Parrying was improved:
- Some of enemies initial attacks were slightly slowed down, to increase the chance of a Player reaction
- Successful parry window for some enemies has been tweaked - according to the their attacks animation

Track to Yomi в плане подражания кинокартинам японского мастера зашла несколько дальше — она буквально выглядит и звучит точь-в-точь, как “те самые черно-белые фильмы про самураев”, хотя студия-разработчик Flying Wild Hog из Польши. Черно-белой цветовой гаммой и различными эффектами пленки дело явно не ограничилось. Авторы с каким-то фанатичным перфекционизмом подошли к созданию каждого кадра в плане ракурсов камеры, освещения и глубины резкости. Декорации получились практически фотореалистичными, особенно поэтично выглядит растительность, колышущаяся на ветру. Из визуальной идиллии выбиваются разве что корявенькие анимации персонажей в катсценах, напоминая, что перед нами все-таки инди-проект.

It's been a really exciting week for us at Flying Wild Hog. We would like to let you know that we are actively reading all the Trek To Yomi feedback you've been posting here and on other social channels and we are extremely thankful for it.
We would like to let you know that we're working on a patch and we plan to have it released in the next 1 to 2 weeks (hopefully this week 🤞) that will address most of the crucial issues you guys have reported such as: missing English dub for consoles, issue with the game progress on chapter 7, issue with controllers, game crashes and other smaller things that we saw in the player's feedbacks.

But while it gets a lot of things right, it's also a literal trek to the underworld: the scenery is stunning, but your legs hurt, and your arms ache from killing all the bandits. So many bandits! The lack of enemy variety hurts what could've been a sensational hike - but it's still a trek worth embarking on if you break it up with a few pitstops.

Players will face off against myriad enemies across beautiful and terrifying lands, including spearmen, archers, riflemen, and even beings believed to be nothing more than folk tale.
