It feels like it was only last week the last time we talked...oh wait, it was! We must have lost track of time because we were too excited preparing for the BRAND NEW DEMO that just went live! This time, we visit a familiar and rather in(famous) locale, but something feels a bit strange. Well, more strange than usual, that is.
Come in, come in. Be sure to step over the screaming rubber chickens there, and don't mind the seven-foot-tall stuffed rabbit in the corner, it doesn't bite. And no, it didn't just move. Grab your press ID and tighten those high-top laces, it's time to return to the house where it all began in this self-contained demo experience!

We know you’ve been dying to book your ticket back to Raven Brooks, and starting today you can officially pre-order the long-awaited sequel to the original stealth horror hit! But in even better news, all pre-order players will be granted instant access to our pre-order exclusive Beta!
So what can you look forward to in the Beta and how do you get your mitts on it? Let’s get into it. You may have noticed there are two editions currently available for pre-order. The Hello Neighbor 2 Standard Edition pre-order will contain the full game on launch + instant Beta access once your pre-order is completed. Now for the the Deluxe Edition, both versions will grant you Beta access but of course, the Deluxe Edition comes with a few pretty sweet extras. Secret Neighbor is sneaking onto a platform near you!
It’s been hard to keep this secret locked up but it’s escaped the basement and finally, we can share it.
We’re excited to announce that Secret Neighbor will be coming to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and iOS! Pre orders for Secret Neighbor on PlayStation will open on March 30th. The full game release for PlayStation and iOS will be April 29th, and release plans for Secret Neighbor on Switch will be announced later this Summer. Another important update, our PlayStation and iOS versions will be cross-play compatible!
In addition to this, we are working hard to provide all platforms a parity of content and synchronized updates in the future and will keep you updated on our progression towards this goal. Our 2021 Secret Neighbor Development Roadmap will also be on its way to you in the coming weeks, so keep a sharp eye out for even more updates very soon!
Hello Neighbor 2 - The AI takeover
Hello Neighbor 2 is nearing its crucial development stage and we are working hard on Alpha 2. There have been some big updates to the AI. Mr. Peterson is now even more capable of learning from previous player behavior in order to plan new ways to thwart you from learning his dark secrets.
But not just Mr. Peterson, every character you encounter in Hello Neighbor 2 will share the same AI core...though their motivations and stories may differ.
Hello Engineer - Full steam ahead
Hello Engineer Beta Testing is currently in progress and we will be sharing more exciting news on its development soon. In the meantime, check out some fun gifs!
The Guest is back and he’s...huggable?
In partnership with our friends at Snap Creative, we are very excited to bring you The Guest Musical Plush!
He is poseable, with wired limbs and a swivel head. And he has not one but two music boxes! Press his belly to play music, or press his bag for a surprise!

Added statistics on the time spent to complete the alpha
Improved optimization
Added some animations for the Guest
Graphics settings have been expanded (material quality setting)
The volume of the combination lock is increased
Fixed bugs related to AI getting stuck in the house
Fixed the Guest’s reaction to the kettle
Fixed a bug where a candy in hand was considered to be placed inside the basket
Fixed a bug where a player would lose control after the Guest had caught them in a hiding spot

Alpha 1.5 - Patch 1 - A Ton of Fixes
Hello ghosts and ghouls! Thank you all for playing Alpha 1.5 in these last couple of days! We really appreciate your feedback, keep it coming! Not only it helps us to catch all the bugs much quicker, but also to determine where to nudge the game gameplay-wise. You may have notice

Thank you all for playing Alpha 1.5 in these last couple of days! We really appreciate your feedback, keep it coming! Not only it helps us to catch all the bugs much quicker, but also to determine where to nudge the game gameplay-wise.
You may have noticed an in-game survey that pops up after you've played for a bit - this is one of the new ways of listening to your thoughts on the game. Let us know what you think about the new Guest behavior and the new puzzles so that we could make the next Alphas even more fun!
And now, to the update itself. The team has been working tirelessly to eliminate the peskiest of bugs and improve the overall quality of life for Alpha 1.5, and the first patch is now out! There's a lot of fixes. Like, a lot. Take a look for yourself:
Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1.5 v1.1.1.4 - Full list of changes

Backyard house roof got updated geometry for easier jumps
Updated decorations inside the house and in the open world
Stationary phone has been moved to the bedroom
Crowbar puzzle is now more intuitive
Optimized lighting, other optimizations
The Guest can now disassemble the generator if it's in their way
Polished the final cutscene (added sound)
Optimized sound levels (balancing)
The Guest can no longer spot a player through the main door
Improved one of the puzzles for obtaining a candy with the generator
Lost candies are now more visible in the basket
The cable now rolls up correctly while attached to the generator
Decreased the probability of the camera shifting after being caught by the Guest
The Guest now knocks down an installed CCTV camera instead of being blocked by it
You can't block doors with the CCTV camera anymore
Bottles' fullness is now correctly displayed in the inventory
Fixed player's detection in hiding spots
Fixed a bug where the Guest would freeze after a key has been taken out of the furnace
The Guest no longer T-poses :(
Fixed the bug related to the Guest opening the coded door
Improved the Guest's behavior on neutral grounds
The Guest no longer attacks a player while they're in the van
Fixed incorrect Guest indication on the CCTV display
Fixed incorrect display of candies when thrown into the basket

As previously mentioned this is not a drastic update but we do still have some goodies to hand out. And you don’t even have to dress up or knock on strangers' doors to get them!

New treats! (and tricks)
So what's new in Alpha 1.5 :

Main house rework - you’ll find more ways to get around, and more interesting interactions and opportunities to maneuver through the House.
AI rework - the Guest's behavior is now more complex, and it boasts new navigation, sight and hearing systems!
Improved open world - This is the first iteration of the improved open world with more meaningful exploration. So put on your comfiest shoes and get out there!
More story for you to discover! The update will shed some light on Raven Brook’s secrets… but we can’t promise you’ll be left with more answers than questions.
Improved game mechanics - the rope and the conveyor belt are now implemented as more integral parts of the gameplay
Reworked level design - now it's easier for the new players to get into the game and understand the goal. This rework is aimed at making the game more accessible to new players while still giving veteran players more than enough to sink their teeth into.
Sadly the 12 foot skeleton was sold out at home depot, but we have prepared a special Halloween puzzle just for you, as well as other non-giant skeleton Halloween decor.
And lastly, we’ve got another treat for you! Every player who wishlists Hello Neighbor 2 will receive a unique tool which will help you explore Raven Brooks - the Grappling Hook! Let us know in the comments or on our Discord if it was fun to use, and how much did it alter your playstyle.

Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1.5 is not that far away. Can you guess when is it coming by looking at these gifs? :)
Meanwhile, we wanted to share with you what we've been working on for this update. As you could tell from the Alpha name, the game will not be drastically different from the Alpha 1. Instead, we've focused our attention inwards: for the past couple of months, we've been busy improving the gameplay.
The Survey
As a part of this inward focus, we'd like to hear more from you, our players. The purpose of the last survey was to get to know you better. With this one, we're looking to get your feedback on the gameplay of HN2 Alpha 1, which will help us make adjustments to the future Alphas.

Without showing all the cards, here's a brief outline of what we've been working on:
The Changes

Reworked the main house: added more interactions and interesting opportunities for a player to traverse the house
Reworked the AI - the Guest's behavior is now more complex, with a more coherent cycle (schedule)
Improved open world - we've heard you loud and clear - it's nice to have an open world, but there's got to be a point in exploring it. This is the first iteration of the improved open world, with some cheeky puzzles, and more are to come in the future versions of the game.
More lore! New intro and ending will expand the lore of Hello Neighbor universe. We can't promise that you'd get more answers than questions, though.
Improved mechanics - the rope and the conveyor belt are now implemented as more integral parts of the gameplay
Reworked level design - now it's easier for the new players to get into the game and understand the goal. This rework is aimed at making the game more accessible to new players while remaining mysterious and challenging
Halloween is coming! We're preparing a special Halloween puzzle and other tricks (and treats)

Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1 Update - Version 1.0.4.0

The drone is back in the game
Fixed and improved AI behavior
You can now knock the Guest down using a rope. The rope has to be tied on one end with the other hand in the player's hands.
Added new behavior and animations for Imbir (the cat)
Controls prompt in the menu now switch depending on your input (keyboard and mouse/controller)
Fixed switching between items in the inventory when using a controller
Fixed the wooden planks getting stuck while being torn off
Fixed the ability to burn items in the fireplace while holding them in hands
Fixed the ability to leave a hiding spot while using a display
Fixed the second-floor window, you can now jump through it
Fixed a bug that would cause players to get stuck inside the house (collisions of the floor and the walls) after being caught by the Guest
The canister now explodes when thrown into the fireplace
Fixed crashes that occurred when using a rope

Thank you for all your feedback, keep it coming! For this next patch, we've fixed one of the major issues that was causing the game to crash, as well as added some new interactions and animations.
Here are the full patch notes:
Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1 Update - Version 1.0.3.0

Bottles can now be destroyed by throwing them into the fireplace. This will cause the fire to go out.
Boxes can now be burnt down
Fixed an issue where the Guest would attack the player while the player is on the neutral territory and has no items
Added new animations for holding various items
Fixed the Guest's animations while he's crouching
Fixed the Guest's sounds playback in the game's finale
Fixed the positioning of the player upon exiting the car
Fixed crashes caused by throwing items out of the player's inventory

Known bugs:

Wooden planks on the attic door might get stuck
The Guest might get stuck in the crowbar room
If you didn't get the update automatically, please restart your Steam client.

Improved map visuals
Improved visuals and mechanics of hiding behind the curtain
Added sounds to the final cutscene
Added particles for throwing boxes
Improved visual effects and sounds for tearing off wooden planks

AI Jump System optimization
AI Behavior improvements
Fixed a bug where you could go through the boarded up door to the attic
AI can now kick aside objects that are thrown under his feet
Improved crowbar control animation
Code door can no longer be opened by throwing heavy objects at it
Fixed crash when using surveillance cameras
Fixed a bug where players would get stuck in display control after falling from a height
Fixed the key position in the fireplace
Fixed generator sounds

Without further ado, here's the whole list of changes:
Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1 Update - Version 1.0.1.0

Corrected AI behavior
Fixed navigation issues for narrow passages
Fixed an issue where a player would lose control after falling from a height while using binoculars
Fixed an issue where loading while in the final stage of the alpha would cause characters to double, resulting in a crash
The fireplace now correctly detects items thrown into it
Corrected visual effects for the fire and smoke produced by the fireplace
Fixed plank scaling while prying it off with a crowbar
The Guest now stumbles much less frequently on the items he picks up
The Guest is now easier to knock down by throwing an item at him
Door code now changes for each new game
Fixed the start of the Guest's fire extinguisher flight animation
Fixed collisions for various objects
Fixed invisible collision in the doorway leading to the backyard
