Well guppy, it’s finally time! Publisher Coatsink and Developer Bunnyhug are delighted to reveal that Moonglow Bay is available from today on Steam.
The game will cost £19.99/$24.99 USD/€24.99 SRP across all territories.
Moonglow Bay has been in development for four years, from concept stage through to its launch today. Bunnyhug and Coatsink have collaborated on the project every step of the way and we’re so excited to see where your journey will take you.
In Moonglow Bay, there’s various types of fishing - whether you’re using a net or trap - but in order to get the tourist trade flourishing again you’ll need to renovate broken down buildings, establish your startup street food business, and build lasting relationships to unite the townsfolk ahead of its centennial celebrations.
You’ll cook recipes to unlock new ones, earn shells by fulfilling requests from the community, gain different rod types and bait to catch even more unique aquatic species. You’ll even be able to purchase upgrades to your equipment, such as more spacious storage for your meals and a portable kitchen on your boat.
And did we mention the entire game is playable in local co-op? There’s so much to see and do in Moonglow Bay that having a little help can go a long way.
During launch, we’re also raising money for Ocean Clean Up as part of Coatsink10K. Within the Bay, you’ll find lots of debris and waste and this is reflective of a real world problem. Plastic pollution in the world’s oceans is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time, impacting nearly 700 marine species.
Moonglow Bay gives you the opportunity to discover fascinating forms of marine life: fish, squid, sharks, learning more about them. They are all part of an important eco-system and we are at risk of losing many of them.
This is a cause near and dear to all of our hearts and we would really appreciate any support you can provide to help protect these amazing creatures.
It’s been an absolute pleasure sharing the unique types of fish with you every Friday, as well as some of the delicious dishes you’ll be able to make through Bay Bites.
From all of us here at Coatsink, we hope you have an incredible time exploring Moonglow Bay. Be sure to tell us what you think on social media and let us know if you’re streaming as we may drop by from time to time.

Publisher Coatsink and developers Bunnyhug are unfortunately announcing Moonglow Bay, the story-driven ‘slice-of-life' fishing RPG will be departing the bay a little later than expected due to additional development time needed to ensure the best possible experience.
Originally planned to release October 7th, Moonglow Bay will now be setting sail on October 26th 2021.
The team have been building an enriching world full of things to see and do, and from day one the intention was always to create an experience that is lasting, making Moonglow Bay the absolute best place to visit. In order to truly deliver on that vision, it has been determined that we need to shift our launch date.
However, we still want to share more of Moonglow Bay before release day so we’ll have something new to show you on October 7th. Please look out for it across our social channels!
“The game is delayed, but not by much!
We at Bunnyhug have been working on Moonglow Bay for 4 years alongside Coatsink to make the best experience possible.
Sadly, over the last few weeks we’ve been encountering some pesky bugs which have made getting a clean release build difficult.
The game is now in a good place and in the final stage of development, but still needs to pass the final hurdles, so to ensure all is right as rain, we’ll be releasing Moonglow Bay on October 26!
We hope you can enjoy what’s coming!” - The Bunnyhug team
The community that has grown around our game make us smile and laugh every day. You’ve given us all the motivation to deliver something truly special and we are ever grateful for your support
While we appreciate this news will be disappointing to hear, we hope you’ll still embark on this journey with us in just a few weeks time.

Moonglow Bay is set along the Eastern Canadian coastline in a fishing town afraid to fish. The Bay was once considered a tourist attraction until rumours of dangerous, fantastical creatures ruined the trade. With the town on the verge of bankruptcy and only one year until its centennial, you decide to fulfil your partner’s final wish of starting a business in a decisive attempt to revive the town.
Along the way you will befriend locals and encounter strange fish, cook and sell a variety of recipes; acquire new equipment, such as rods and a fishing boat; learn to cast nets, set traps and fish through ice. Explore the furthest reaches of the bay, from frigid glaciers to boiling geysers; and ultimately determine if there is any truth to the tales…
Do magical creatures really exist in Moonglow Bay?
Moonglow Bay combines a playful voxel art style and a sumptuous soundtrack, featuring distinct story arcs, 100+ aquatic species to discover, Monster encounters and a fully-inhabited town to explore, which can be enjoyed both single-player or with drop-in-drop-out local co-op.
