After all these years, we are finally launching Choppa: Rescue Rivals on August 13, 2026! On Steam and Nintendo Switch, simultaneously!
For those just tuning in: Choppa: Rescue Rivals is our helicopter rescue action/adventure game where you pilot your physics-based chopper through a series of increasingly hazardous rescue missions around the world. You'll choose from a diverse cast of pilots and occasionally make questionable piloting decisions under pressure. It's the follow-up to the original Choppa, which somehow found its way onto over 4 million devices, and this time we've built it bigger, better, and with some story baked in.
I won't pretend this one was easy. Depending on how you count, we're a three-person studio based in the Finnish countryside, and making this game meant scraping by in every sense. We got used to taking on consulting gigs to keep the lights on, stretching every euro, and building the game in the hours between client work, family life, and the occasional moment of sleep. No publisher money, no funding rounds. Just stubbornness, coffee, and a shared belief that the world needs a game like this.
