This is a bit of a technical week!
For real this time, Mod Fable will gives us another update and some insights into the upcoming API project and some of the Plugins our community developers are working on!
We're also hoping to share a bit more insight into what exactly goes into an Engine update like today. If all goes to plan, we'll share this blog on Friday.

Vulkan Open Beta

Today we will be beginning our beta of Vulkan!

Vulkan is a modern graphics technology that will help RuneScape communicate with your computer's graphics hardware. You can think of it as the bridge between the game engine and your GPU, telling your device how to draw everything you see on screen.

RuneScape has historically used a rendering technology called OpenGL. While OpenGL has served us well for many years, Vulkan is its modern successor and is designed to take better advantage of today's hardware. It gives our engineers much greater control over how the game renders graphics, allowing us to optimize performance more effectively and build a stronger foundation for future improvements.

Moving to Vulkan will help reduce CPU overhead, improve support for modern multi-core processors, and gives us access to newer graphics technologies that aren't available through older rendering systems. For players, this means the potential for smoother performance, fewer bottlenecks in demanding situations, faster loading and shader compilation, and better support for future graphical enhancements.

While the transition to Vulkan is a long-term investment in RuneScape's technology, it lays the groundwork for continued performance improvements and enables us to take advantage of modern graphics features and platforms for years to come. How to access the Beta

Introducing a new rendering backend is one of the most significant technical changes we can make to RuneScape, so we're taking a careful, phased approach to ensure the experience remains as stable as possible for players. Our rollout will begin with an optional open beta for Windows players, launching today.

This beta period will allow us to gather valuable feedback and data on stability, visual fidelity, hardware compatibility, and performance across a wide range of systems. Once we're confident that any major issues have been identified and addressed, we'll begin rolling Vulkan out as the default rendering option through the RuneScape Launcher.

You will be able to access the Vulkan open beta build of RuneScape via the Graphics Mode setting in the startup options menu: just switch it to "Vulkan". You can access this menu at startup by clicking on the options button in the bottom left corner, or via the RuneScape → Options shortcut from the menu bar at the login screen. You’ll have to restart your client after making the change so that the launcher can download the new executable.

For Steam, you would also need to do this prior to launching the client:

Right-click 'RuneScape' in your games library
Select 'Properties'
Select 'Game Versions & Betas'
Select 'Vulkan'

Once you're playing on Vulkan, we'd love to hear about your experience. As with any major technical update, feedback from players is invaluable in helping us identify issues across the huge variety of hardware and system configurations used to play RuneScape.

If you encounter any issues or other unexpected behaviour, please submit an in-game bug report whenever possible. These reports provide us with additional diagnostic information that helps our developers investigate and resolve issues more quickly.

We'll also be opening a dedicated Vulkan feedback and bug-reporting channel on the Official RuneScape Discord!

This project has been years in the making, and we're incredibly excited to finally get it into players' hands. Vulkan represents a huge step forward for the future of RuneScape's technology. Your feedback will play a vital role in helping us refine the experience, improve performance, and shape the future of RuneScape's graphics and engine technology.

Auto NPC Dormancy

This week as part of our engine up we're rolling out Auto Dormancy for eligible NPCs, this will help improve game performance! This system allows NPCs that aren't near any players to temporarily enter a dormant state, reducing the amount of server processing they require while they're not actively being interacted with.

When a player enters the area, the NPC will automatically become active again, ensuring the experience remains seamless. By reducing unnecessary background processing across the game world, Auto Dormancy helps free up server resources and improve overall performance and efficiency. As we continue to expand the use of this system to appropriate NPCs, players should benefit from a smoother, more responsive game experience, while also helping us support the long-term health and scalability of the game.

As with all large scale changes you may find some oddities in an NPCs behaviour and if so please do send us a bug report via the in game system, this will help us track any and all issues that arise!

General

Some clickboxes across the game have been updated to be more precise following the engine update.
Rooms in POH should now appear on the minimap regardless of selected rendering distance.
Fixed Clear headed invention perk not working when put inside the Automaton control bot.
Leagues character voices and player models were unintentionally mismatched in some cases and have been realigned with the player model.
Fixed an issue that prevented loading custom presets from slots 2 to 4.

Engine

Fixed an issue causing semi-transparent dialog boxes to appear in the RS Bootstrap Launcher on macOS.
Fixed a rare crash that could occur in Meiyerditch under specific circumstances.
Fixed a desync issue causing movement abilities to incorrectly align with the player's orientation.
Fixed an issue where the target cycling system could occasionally fail to find a valid new target.
Added a clearer launcher error message when attempting to start the game while another client is already running.
Added ARM64 support to the RS Bootstrap Launcher and RS Client.
Improved performance in large Player-Owned Houses.
Added support for the upcoming Vulkan Open Beta.

Hotfixed - Leagues

The 'Stranger and Stranger' achievement is now automatically completed if the Tirannwn region is unlocked.
Fixed an issue that prevented the "Defeat a boss in the Dominion Tower" task from completing.
Anachronia's base camp tutorial is now auto-completed when unlocking the region.

Today we're lifting the lid on what's in store for you this September and what you can look forward to when.

September is predominantly about seeing out the remaining weeks of Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM before transitioning into Havenhythe Part II, which launches on September 28!

Additionally, you can look forward to two other dedicated updates:

Our Engine Update (coming next week) may sound a little innocuous at first, but it unlocks a lot of great things - including a beta for Vulkan and a few other in-game changes that were not previously possible. We'll also try to unpack how engine updates differ from normal game updates as well as why they are so essential for pushing the boundaries of what is possible within RuneScape.
The Deep Clean update, releasing in week four of September, will generally focus on addressing some of the little niggles that can contribute to a feeling of drag and clutter day to day. That includes improving visual eyesores, unifying icons across interfaces and making sure everything uses a similar style. We're also looking at trimming down login messages to just the core information and also removing a lot of egregious info box popups that get in the way of gameplay. Additionally, we'll be visually refreshing a few other things, including the level 99 skillcapes and boss healthbars for all core bosses. Very excitingly (!), this update will also introduce bank PIN entry via your keyboard if you are using a Jagex account!

When it comes to previewing future updates this month, you can look forward to more news about the API & Plugins project next week. A little while later, we'll also be sharing our vision for how we plan to remove MTX items from the game that are no longer consistent with our design philosophy.

The biggest in-person RuneScape event of the year, RuneFest, will take place on October 3 and 4, and many of our JMods are spending September pulling together the finishing touches on this hugely exciting event. We hope to see you there!

One final note for the Month Ahead! There is no Month Ahead YouTube chat between Mod Ryan and Mod Anvil today due to a variety of factors, including the fact that Jagex is moving offices and our studio has been packed up! We do, however, plan to continue with our video Month Ahead format, so don't worry - it's not going away... We'll be back before you know it!

Player Owned Housing

VFX updated on the teak and marble POH portals when attuned to Kharyrll.
The PoH Miscellania table recipe has been added as a reward for completing the quest Royal Trouble.
The PoH Ports table recipe has been added to the Ports Reward Shop.
Fixed the glossiness of the various attuned portals in the POH.
Fixed a minor bug with the various attuned portals' animations in the POH.
Updated the shade of the mahogany floor in rooms with stairs in the POH, so that they match rooms without stairs.
Re-enforced a 300 furniture limit in a player-owned house, and added a warning on entry to any players above this. An expanded furniture limit is coming soon.

Dungeoneering Remastered

Prayer and Summoning skill doors are now capped at level 99.
The Follow the Leader puzzle in Daemonheim can now be completed if a member of the party has left the dungeon.
Increased the brightness of ferrets in Dungeoneering.
Fixed an issue with overlapping text for ruinous weapons in the Daemonheim Rewards shop.
Graphically updated giant rats in Daemonheim and Sinkholes.
Removed Adventurer's log entries for a small handful of Dungeoneering rewards.
Fixed an issue where bound blastboxes and surgeboxes would be lost upon completing a floor.
Fixed an issue where you could re-trigger an animation on skill doors.
Ensouled marmaros bars and above, and ensouled blightleaf cloth and above are now members only items.
Updated examines for all Daemonheim items, to remove outdated references to tiers:
- Equipment has had the references removed, as the tiers can be seen on the tooltip.
- The majority of base skilling items now say the skill they're used in, with the level band.
Updated the skeletal warrior in the skeletal trio to look more skeletal.

Hotfixed - Leagues

The rare drop boost in Leagues worlds now applies to Godsword shards in the God Wars Dungeon.
The 'Clue Connoisseur' relic now gives 3 charges per outfit piece.
The Council Workman that awards the Fremennik easy diary has been made accessible by moving them onto the bridge by the southern border in the Fremennik Province.
Anachronia's base camp tutorial is now auto-completed when unlocking the region.

Leagues

The 'Unwelcome Guests' quest is now automatically completed.
The 'Gnome Roaming' task is now automatically completed if the Tirannwn region is unlocked.
Creating divine boons now costs half as much energy when the "Divine Druid" relic has been chosen.
A typo with the task 'Complete 75 master clue scrolls' has been fixed.
The 'Do No Evil' quest is now automatically completed if the desert region is unlocked.
The 'Fleeing the scene' task is now automatically completed if the Kandarin region is unlocked.
All of Black Knights' Fortress is now considered to be part of Asgarnia.
Gwir can now be spoken to in Tirannwn.
The 'Oxymoron Incarnate' and 'Assaulted Goodies' tasks are now automatically completed when the Fremennik region is unlocked.
The 'Stick a Bork In Him' Misthalin task is now automatically completed.
The 'Dishonour Among Thieves' quest is now automatically completed if the Fremennik region is unlocked.
The 'Throne of Miscellenia' quest is now automatically completed for players who have unlocked the Fremmenik region in Leagues.
Players are now able to progress impling-related tasks in Leagues while in Puro-Puro.
The 'Arandar-Bout Way' Tirannwn area task is now automatically completed if the Tirannwn region is unlocked.
Fixed an issue in Leagues that was allowing Black Dragons to be assigned as a slayer task without the means to get to them.
The 'Tale of Muspah' is now auto-completed when unlocking the Desert, and as such Ali the Wise will now appear in Nardah.
The adrenaline bar should no longer display outside of combat while affected by passive adrenaline regeneration effects.
Tweaked the way that poison damage is assigned in Leagues so that enemies killed only with poison award both XP and drops.

Fixed aggression bar issues during multi-encounters in Big Game Hunter.
Fixed an issue that was causing the soul altar to require players to have at least one pure essence in their inventory to make soul runes.
Ben's spare hat now has bonus lifepoints, damage reduction and can be keepsaked.
Items sold to Tom's Trove general store can now be bought back.
Corrected the lighting on Anya's chat head.
Corrected skill guide information for Yew, Magic and Elder bows as well as their sighted counterparts.
Resolved a graphical issue with the carpet present in the Death's Office.
Zamorakian crafters are once again able to reach the Ourania's Runecrafting Altar.

Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM

The Leagues team has been hard at work resolving issues affecting players' adventures across Gielinor. Today's update also includes a couple of noteworthy additions that we wanted to spotlight, helping make your Leagues journey a little smoother and more accessible.

Players who had previously played in Leagues: CATALYST are now able to nominate a new account to receive their leagues reward points.
- The re-nominated account will receive the rewards earned in this league and not any of the points/awards from the previous league.
- You can nominate the same account you previously did.
- This feature will be offered in any subsequent leagues.
- If you did not play the previous League the account you nominated at the start of this league will not be able to be changed.

Adjusted the number of tasks required to unlock regions in Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM
There is now an “unlocked regions” button in the locality list!

"Legacy of Seergaze" is now automatically completed when unlocking Tirannwn.
Fixed the abnormally high alchemy value of unstrung longbows.
Fixed an issue where the northern part of the Fremmenik hunter area was mapped as the wrong region.
The “Do You Like Jazz?” hard underworld task now autocompletes on login to Leagues.
The Down with the Disturbances elite underworld task now autocompletes on login to Leagues.
Fixed an issue where the task to kill 50 Tormented demons was not awarding Leagues points.
Fixed an issue where upgrading your gem bag with the Wilderness region unlocked would not complete the corresponding task.
Fixed an issue where fletching a main-hand rune crossbow would not complete the league task for fletching a rune crossbow.
Fixed an issue where Endless Harvest users on leagues were unable to complete the "No good to me alive" Varrock area task.
Fixed an issue where players who had selected Fremmenik as a region were unable to use the penguin suit and thus unable to complete the Penguin agility course.
Fixed an issue where the upstairs of the Taverley bank was mapped as being in Kandarin for leagues region locking.
Deploy a dreadnip' league task now autocompletes when unlocking Desert region.
The interaction options with other players' Devout Yaks is now hidden on leagues worlds.
Mining a shooting star in leagues no longer spams the player with task messages that are not progressing.
Fixed an issue where players with Anachronia unlocked as one of their regions were unable to access the Dream of Iaia.
Fixed an issue where players could only complete the "Brew a wendlewick ale" task by filling a beer glass with Mature wendlewick ale.
Fixed an issue where the task to kill an automaton in Kandarin was not completable in Leagues because the High Druid would not teleport the player.
Fixed an issue where players could not charge dragonstone jewellery in Prifddinas without completing Legends' Quest and Heroes' Quest.
Players can now use a regular watering can in addition to the magic watering can on the toolbelt.
Added "The Eyes of Glouphrie" to autocomplete on Tirannwn region unlock.
Players are now able to make crystal flasks with any regions unlocked.
The task to defeat Zamorak at 1,000% enrage can now be completed when the enrage is set to more than 1,000%.
Strykewyrm rares are now impacted by the leagues luck modifier.

Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM

Drop modifiers now apply for: Dark Nilas, Statius Warhammer, Obsidian weapons, Holy Elixir, Obliteration, Annihilation, Decimation, Totem pieces, Demon slayer equipment, Dragon fullhelm, Glacor boots, Araxyte pheromone, Gemstone armour, Linza equipment, Vital sparks.
Dive no longer requires 30 Agility if any tier 2 blessing has been unlocked.
Fixed various issues with Animal Wrangler not behaving as expected when hunting. Drops should now be transported to the players' bank and increased by 5x while hunting.
Fixed an issue that prevented progression of the "Catch 30 red chinchompas in Kandarin" task.
The mine 70 banite ore task is now listed as global.
Removed references to shieldbows from tasks.
Fixed an issue where the Rex Matriarchs collection log was not possible to complete on Leagues worlds, as the bosses drop the upgraded rings pre-combined.
Adjusted the number of tasks required to unlock regions in Leagues II:
- Karamja 50 -> 50 (unchanged)
- First chosen Region 175 -> 150
- Second chosen Region 300 -> 275
- Third chosen Region 450 -> 400
The Fairy mushroom from the Nature's Network relic now teleports to the correct farming patch location in Lumbridge.
Fixed an issue that caused players to disconnect while crafting Starbloom cloth with the Production Master relic.
Players are now able to nominate a new account to receive their leagues reward points once per league. The re-nominated account will only receive reward points from the current league onwards.
Fixed an issue where activating the Sliver of Edicts (Naragi Edict relic) would reduce a player's hitchance to 0 when also boosting their combat stats via prayer.
Fixed an issue where players who unlocked Kandarin but not the Wilderness were unable to complete the wilderness lever Ardougne task.
Fixed an issue where the dinarrow tutorial was not automatically skipped when unlocking Anachronia in Leagues
Fixed an issue where Leela was not present outside the gates of Menaphos, preventing players from starting Pharaoh's Folly on Leagues worlds.
Fixed an issue where crafting leather items with Production Master unlocked in leagues would sometimes create more items than intended, using additional materials.
Symphony: Exploration' memoriam crystal in 'Troublesome Crystals' achievement has been added to task autocomplete.
Better Than Cursing the Darkness' Hard Morytania area task added to task autocomplete.
Keeping Tabs on Varrock hard Varrock task has been added to autocompleted tasks.
The Anachronia league task to cast paradox is now skipped as part of Anachronia unlock.

Marketplace Bundle - Blooming Gardens

The Blooming Gardens Collection is the second instalment of this month's Player-Owned House Marketplace drop, launching today. Inspired by vibrant gardens and tranquil outdoor spaces, this collection is perfect for players looking to bring a touch of natural beauty to their homes. You'll find the full range of Blooming Gardens overrides in the Featured section of the Marketplace.

This drop also introduces two brand-new buildable furnishings to the core Construction skill: the Garden Bench and the Large Trellis Archway. These are new base items that can be crafted at Construction levels 25 and 65 respectively and are available to all players through normal gameplay at no additional cost.

Once you've built either item and stored it in your Player-Owned House, you'll be able to customise it with the Marketplace overrides included in the Blooming Gardens Collection, giving you even more ways to create your perfect outdoor retreat.

Patch Notes

Leagues has hit the ground running, and the team has been hard at work tackling issues as they arise. If you've been following our Leagues II: Equilibrium - Fixes & Issues newspost, much of what's covered below will already be familiar, but we wanted to bring everything together in one place.

Hotfixed - Leagues

Fixed an issue that was causing Void shards and Crystal essence to be deleted from your backpack when leaving a Daemonheim dungeon.
Fixed an issue that was preventing the Harpoon of the pious from apply it's effect. It now correctly applies a 9% bonus and acts as any fishing tool.
The Survivalist's bag now has a capacity of 150.
Fixed an issue that was allowing a Dragontooth Island clue scroll to be given without having Morytania unlocked.
Players are no longer being teleported when entering Oziach's house.
The Spellwisp colony at the Wizard's Tower is no longer inaccessible.
Fixed regions remaining locked if unlocking a region while dying in combat.
Fixed an issue where the bonus prayer XP from crystal grace was not given when bones were automatically buried by the bonecrusher.
Fixed an issue where the bonus multiplication for necro rituals from Crystal grace was at 20% rather than 200%.
Clarified the description of Crystal grace regarding the rates of gaining Crystal essence.
- You have a 50% chance to gain 60-90 essence on a 60 second timer whilst skilling.
The leagues task to give coins to Richie now completes and gives points even if you have completed this task in the previous league.
Fixed an issue for players that owned any of the MTX overrides prior to their re-release on the Marketplace. Marketplace cards should now correctly appear as 'owned' for already owned items.
Fixed an issue that was stopping crystal essence from being able to be crafted into catalytic runes.
Other player's Devout yak can no longer be used to bank items.
Creating divine energy now costs half as much energy when the "Divine Druid" relic has been chosen.
The Blessings tutorial no longer reopens automatically if the player selected a blessing without fully progressing the tutorial.
The Wiki list button now links to the Equilibrium wiki page.
The Transmutation effect no longer force closes interfaces.
The "Hi Ho Silver" achievement is now auto completed on Leagues.
Greater death's swiftness and greater sunshine codices now autocomplete "The World Wakes" when used.
Fixed an issue that was preventing progress on the leagues task to collect 10 Agility Arena tickets.
Fixed an issue where resetting blessings would lose the contents of the Nature's rune pouch.
Tier 2 blessings will no longer unlock when trying to unlock a tier 2 relic.
Kharen, who ferries player to Rasial's citadel, will now appear once players have completed the Necromancy! quest in Leagues worlds.
The Divine Druid ingredients save chance is now at 75% as expected.
The game no longer crashes when players try to reclaim the sixth-age circuit from the Guthixian high druid.
Extra herbs given by the "Divine Druid" relic now respect the toggle settings from the Herbicide.
The "Deposit-all" option on forges, anvils and furnaces now works with the Survivalist's Bag.
Fixed Thela's summoning pouch not unlocking the Taverley teleport with the Asgarnia region.
Lesser bone shield now unlocks with Misthalin.

Hotfixed - General

General archaeology research now appears as expected on non-Leagues worlds.
Fixed an issue that was causing the camera to face South-west instead of North when clicking the compass.

General

An issue unlocking the Edie's 1,000 killcount prestige skin has been fixed.
Players can no longer remove their Aquarium, in the POH, whilst another player is exploring it.

Construction:

Marketplace Changes
- Last week's Marketplace drop related to Player-Owned Housing is changing, here's what to look out for:
  - The existing Anniversary Architect and Party bundles will be changed to be single purchase and will no longer be available for repeat purchase.
  - Both of these bundles will have recipes for the respectively included items added to the bundles.
  - Recipes for the items contained within these bundles will be provided to all players who purchased them.
  - Any players who purchased a pack multiple times will have the extra purchases refunded.
- We're letting you know about these changes ahead of time now, but we don't yet have a firm timeline on when they're being implemented just yet. We'll let you know more once we can confirm when, where and how.
Trophy Changes:
- We're changing trophies that are a little less tasteful to display in your house. We'll be making some changes to trophies including Ivar, Masuta, Greg, Vorkath, Seiryu, GWD1 and 2 bosses.

Work behind the scenes on Construction continues! Our next engine update, arriving in September, is planned to enable the expansion of furniture limits, but it will also include general performance improvements for the Player-Owned House.

Leagues: EQUILIBRIUM Launches Today!

The wait is nearly over! Leagues EQUILIBRIUM worlds are currently scheduled to launch at approximately 1:00 PM BST today.

Ahead of the launch we will be wrapping up some final pre-launch checks just to be sure and if anything changes, we'll let you know right away via this newspost, reddit, discord or our other social platforms.

What's New and updated

Leagues: CATALYST proved just how exciting RuneScape Leagues could be, but we knew we were only getting started. For Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM, we've listened closely to player feedback and doubled down on the areas that matter most, bringing meaningful improvements across the entire League.

Blessings introduce a brand-new combat progression system, supercharging your power from the very start of your League journey.
Relics have been rebalanced from the ground up, offering more meaningful choices and greater freedom to shape your perfect build.
Key questlines are completed automatically, letting you skip the requirements and dive straight into the content you want to play.
Tasks have been streamlined to deliver smoother progression, bigger milestones, and more opportunities to earn League Points.

Additionally, we've introduced new mechanics designed to make every League journey feel more unique, and none are bigger than our new Region Locking system.

Region Locking puts your choices at the heart of the adventure, letting you carve your own route through Gielinor and build a journey that's uniquely yours. Starting in Misthalin and Havenhythe, you'll earn access to new regions as you progress, carefully choosing which areas to unlock as your League journey unfolds.

Whether you're chasing specific bosses, powerful gear, efficient training methods, or simply your favourite corner of the map, every unlock helps define your strategy and playstyle. With each path offering a viable route to the Dragon Trophy and this year's rewards, the decisions you make are less about what you can do and more about the story you want to tell.

Alongside that over the last eight months, RuneScape has evolved significantly. Through a steady stream of updates and our ongoing Road to Restoration initiative, we've focused on modernising the game, improving the player experience, and reinforcing the core principles that make RuneScape special. As a result, Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is the perfect opportunity to jump in and experience a very different RuneScape.

Whether your last adventure was during Leagues: CATALYST or you've been away for even longer, you'll discover a game that's been transformed by major improvements across progression, combat, worldbuilding, and quality of life.

League Overview

Whether you're a League veteran or diving in for the first time, here's a quick summary of the key information you'll need to get started and make the most of your adventure.

Starting Point – Your character will begin in the Lumbridge Castle Courtyard with the League Sage, ready to help you get started on your League adventure.
Ironman - Your character is an Ironman, meaning you cannot trade with other players or use the Grand Exchange.
Region Locks – At the start of the League, you'll be limited to Misthalin and Havenhythe regions. Completing tasks will earn you additional area unlocks, gradually expanding the world available to you. Karamja unlocks automatically with your first area unlock, after which you'll choose three more regions to shape your own League journey.
- Full information about each of the areas can be found in the Area Selection menu. This can be accessed from the leagues menu.
XP Boosts – Experience rates are heavily boosted from the start of the League and continue to increase as you unlock additional Relics. You can view your current and upcoming experience multipliers at any time in the Relics menu.
Relics – Relics are powerful upgrades unlocked by earning League Points through completing tasks. As you progress through the League, you'll gain access to more Relics, opening up new bonuses, synergies, and ways to play.
Blessings – Blessings provide a new dedicated combat progression path, unlocked by conquering Blessing Tasks across your chosen regions. Progress through eight tiers to earn powerful combat benefits, make meaningful choices between Order, Chaos, and Balance, and ultimately unlock powerful God Tier Blessings based on the path you follow.
Runtime - Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM will run from today August 10th until the game update on September 21st.

There are more quests completed automatically as you choose which regions to unlock and these can all be seen in the Regions tab under the unlocks segment

Additionally a Dramen staff will be added to your Inventory so that you can access Fairy rings. If lost, you can reclaim it from the Sage in Lumbridge Courtyard.

As you progress through Relic tiers, you'll also gain powerful passive effects starting with:

All experience is multiplied by 5x.
Run Energy Rapidly replenishes to 100%
The Archaeology guild shop is fully available
Receive 5x as many chronotes when handing in artefacts and collections.
Souls earned from necromancy rituals are increased by 400%
Bosses respawn faster on all speed presets
The invention tutorial is auto-completed.

And as you progress through the Blessing Tiers you will unlock more combat focused passives starting with:

50% chance to save Runes/Ammunition/Ectoplasm
The Weekly cap on Reaper points is removed

You will unlock a variety of effects across all the Relic and Blessing Tiers including increased XP and Rare item rates, check out the graphics below for a full list or check them out in game in the respective menus

Additional Changes

General

The damage cap is removed, you will be able to deal more then 30k damage in a single hit.
The life points cap is also removed.
All boss spawn settings have been sped up for this League.

Items:

Shops will have a simplified infinite stock available on release. Every time you buy an item it just refills the shop slot again.
We've added Bryll Thoksdottir outside the Wilderness Wall near Fort Fornithry from which you can access the Dungeoneering reward shop

Access:

Teleports and transportation methods to locations outside of areas you have unlocked are restricted
Unlocking new areas will complete various quests and Achievement Diary tasks but will not award any quest completion XP. However, you may complete some quests on your own to gain their XP before unlocking the area which auto-completes it
The Invention tutorial is automatically unlocked and your able to use various workbenches around the world to create items so you don't need access to the Invention guild.
Necromancy will remain fully accessible during Leagues. The City of Um is included as part of Misthalin, and Kili's Knowledge tasks are automatically skipped, so you won't need to complete the usual task chain to progress through the skill.
The Construction tutorial is automatically skipped for all players, and a Construction workbench has been added beside the Lumbridge marketplace bank chest so you can get started right away. Once you're ready to build, simply use any house portal you encounter across Gielinor to access your Player-Owned House, with Brimhaven in Karamja likely being the first.

Misc:

You can break down items into Masterwork Essence at any anvil
You will have the Associate qualification unlocked.

Getting Started

To begin your Leagues journey, you’ll need to be logged into an account that you plan to play Leagues on. From there, head on over to the World selection page and choose "Leagues worlds" at the top of selection to see the worlds! We have spun up additional worlds for Leagues so don't worry about everyone fitting in!.

Please note that If you had played in our first Leagues: CATALYST your account has already gone through this process and your nominated account will remain the same.

First you will see a brief description of what Leagues is.

Followed by a screen explaining the reward nomination process. Since you can’t play Leagues and the main game mode simultaneously on the same account, players can nominate which account should receive their Leagues rewards. This means that if you want to play Leagues on one account while continuing to play your main, you can still direct all rewards to your main account. If you only have a single account, simply nominate it using the option on the left.

From here you will be given a confirmation screen for the nomination.

After that you will be popped into character creation! Something to note at this step, League Worlds do not allow you to use cosmetic overrides and as a side effect you won't be able to change your characters face and hair, so take a moment and choose your ideal look then!

Last step before getting into the game, you will be given the choice between Modern Interface Mode and Classic Interface mode. Both have their charms and the player's choice on which one they like to use, this can be changed in the setting when you are in game.

Once that is done you will pop into Leagues! You start in Lumbridge and will be met with a short tutorial on the Leagues interface and unlocking your first Relic. Be sure to pay attention then! Oh and be sure to turn on Wikisync when prompted to track your progress via the wiki!

Every League brings new rewards, so you can show off your progress wherever you go.

With Leagues EQUILIBRIUM we have branched out into some new reward spaces including some items for your newly refurbished Player owned House! below is a quick list of all the items you can purchase with League points this year but also don't forget you can pick up rewards from the previous league aswell!

Visual Updates to the Launcher:

In the near future we'll be giving the Jagex launcher and our login systems a little bit of a makeover. This is a visual change to bring their style in line with the style we've been establishing for the RuneScape universe. Since Phishing is always a risk, we wanted to make sure you know everything is legitimate. As always, make sure you're diligent about how you login and where. Our Phishing Guidelines are here to help if you need them.

Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM:

Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is kicking off this coming Monday, 10th August. As one of our biggest events of the year, we will be spending a lot of our development time this month ensuring that it is supported appropriately in the weeks' ahead and that there are no other game updates happening that would distract you from your Leagues journey.

Marketplace News:

There's been some back and forth in the community on our first ever drop of POH Marketplace cosmetics. We've been having a chat, and we agree that there's a better way to offer these items up.
Here's how we're taking your feedback on board!
- The existing Anniversary Architect and Party bundles will be changed to be single purchase and will no longer be available for repeat purchase.
- Three bundles (Anniversary Architect Bundle, Party Decoration Bundle and Party Cannon Bundle) will have recipes for the respective items added to the bundles.
- Recipes for the items contained within these bundles will be provided to all players who purchased them.
- Any players who purchased a pack multiple times will have the extra purchases refunded.
Player-Owned House marketplace items are still very much a new area that we're exploring, but it's important to note that none of these explorations are setting a direction in stone from the get-go. Per-item sales for POH won't be part of that direction, and future POH offerings will be approached with a "buy once, unlock forever" mentality.
As we progress through trialling various different configurations, we will gradually settle on the best path forward for both our players and RuneScape. We'll be talking more about the Marketplace in general in our next dedicated Marketplace Monthly blog, so do look out for that in the coming weeks!
A final quick note on the above - we're letting you know about these changes ahead of time now, but we don't yet have a firm timeline on when they're being implemented just yet. We'll let you know more once we can confirm when, where and how.
Our next drop (PoH Part II) will drop in week three of August. That will be followed by a more traditional Zarosian theme cosmetic outfit drop in week four.

Player Owned Housing

All bosses listed in the Beasts tab now drop boss trophies for your Player-Owned House (and there's even a shiny new marble plinth type for you to display them on!) Check out todays Patch Notes to see which ones have been added today.

We're pleased to confirm that we've stabilised the performance issues that the game might experience if we increased the furniture limit. However, implementing this change requires a game engine update, which is next planned for September (game engine updates occur less frequently than game or content updates due to a variety of technical factors)

HCIM Leaderboard

The work to restore the HCIM Leaderboards is being completed this morning and after today they only display true and accurate player data! Check them out here!
- As mentioned in last week's blog, we needed to refresh the HCIM Leaderboards and remove corrupted player data from them. To find out more about this, have a look here!
- The affected leaderboards were: "RuneScore" and all "Activities" leaderboards.

Fixed a bug that allowed players to carry along rooms and furniture when moving to a different floor in the POH.
Resolved an issue where using feathers on mithril bolts (unf) was causing a game crash.

Fixed a bug where the Igneous Kal-Zuk would appear invisible on a cape stand in the POH.
Added the correct particles to the TokHaar-Kal-Ket, TokHaar-Kal-Xil, TokHaar-Kal-Mej, and TokHaar-Kal-Mor capes when they are placed on cape stands in the POH.
Introduced a new 'lost and found' inventory, accessed through bankers. When a player has a full inventory and bank, their old POH furniture that does not go into the furniture trunk goes to 'lost and found'.
Other players' houses will now be built with the correct exterior style when entering homesteads.
Updated the dialogue for servants to better show they are now unavailable to hire.
Fixed a bug where the diagonal interior wall trims on the Octagon, End (rounded), and Corner (rounded) room types did not appear in the POH.
Ambient/contrast has been removed for pet houses.
Tradable furniture recipes can now be dropped. Non-tradable furniture recipes remain destroy.
Updated some of the floor styles' staircase trims to better match the floors in the POH.

General

Fixed some issues with the Smuggler's storage in Dungeoneering:
- Players are able to see any non-storable items greyed out in their inventory when opening the smuggler's storage.
- Players are able to fill all available storage slots when using the deposit-all button.
Daemonheim puzzle room skill checks now allow lower levels to progress them, at higher fail rates.
Daemonheim puzzle room skill checks now have a 100% success rate if the 'required' level is met.
Adjusted the emission on the Obsidian Kal-Xil cape. It should now glow as bright as the other Kal capes.
The Longbow sight has had its tooltip correctly updated in the Dungeoneering reward shop.
Fixed an issue where a number of the walls inside the 'Varrock Sewers' were missing their textures.
The Champion's Guild fence has been fixed, and it no longer allows players to walk through it.
Fixed marketplace tabs becoming out of sync when switching from one tab to another.
A stone no longer clips through the chest in the Fort Forinthry workshop.
Fixed an issue where the minimap contained a visible blocking line along the river and was missing the bridge within Lumbridge.

Graphical

Fixed the east wall of the Varrock Museum.
Rotated some chests of drawers in Catherby and Falador.
The entrance to the pig pit in Varrock is no longer covered by grass.
Certain rock models have been resized to avoid player and fauna clipping.
Fixed a number of pathing issues at the booths in the bank in the northern and southern part of East Ardougne.
Resolved multiple blocking issues in Lumbridge and Draynor Village. Added two barrels - one in Draynor, and one in Lumbridge.
Fixed a plethora of graphical issues across the F2P area.
Fixed various environmental issues in the Varrock area.
Reduced a number of visual effects present in candles and torches across F2P areas in an effort to help further improve performance.
Removed a gap from above the Lumbridge Castle gate that was visible when looking up.

Lots of great new additions for Construction this week!
- You can now move rooms!
- You can now customize your floor on a room by room basis!
- We've added a new 'Edit Current Room' which will edit the room you're currently standing in.
- We've added loot beams for Player-Owned Housing trophy drops.
- We've added new supported capes to Cape Stand system. Displayed capes should now behave the same as wearable cape with emotes, teleports and features. You'll be able to right-click the cape on its stand to get its features.
- You can now add noted potions to the cauldron.
- We've re-added the ability to make a cup of tea in the player owned house that boosts the player's construction level.
- We fixed a bug where furniture pieces that were walls were being deleted when building or removing a room next to them.
Looking forward on the subject of Construction:
- We're working on increasing furniture limits - these changes need to be tested and require a full engine update to ensure that the system retains a good level of performance. We're looking forward to the next Engine Update opportunity to implement these changes if possible, but that may take a little longer.
- The Portable Workbench remains at the top of our mind, and we will share more news on it in the near future.
- Finally, we want to conclude today's Construction changes with a note that we have so many more ideas for how to improve and expand the Player-Owned Housing system as a new reward space - and we'll be doing that throughout the future. Functional furniture especially is an area where we have a number of thoughts for things we would include in future content updates.

Mid-Game Rebalance:

Since the Mid-Game Rebalance launched last week, below is a list of what we've actioned during the week. Today's patch notes include further details on what we've addressed today.
We fixed a bug that was causing the God Wars Dungeon kill count to be reset when using the Wars Retreat portal (and similar PvM portals).
- We fixed a bug that was causing Seals to drop in God Wars Dungeon 2 even when players were at max reputation.
- We fixed a bug that was preventing Broad arrows and any special arrow from displaying the correct "make-x" interface
- We fixed a bug where Demonic Skull's were only being refunded once per account, even if the player had multiple Demonic Skulls.
  - Should you have been affected by this (e.g. you had multiple skulls but only got refunded for one), please be aware that our Player Support team should already have reached out and refunded the difference to you.
- We fixed a bug related to Shortbows, Longbows and Crossbows not providing the correct amount of components. The Junk component chance been lowered as a result of the retiering.
- We're planning to add a boss pet override option for the Jad pet - this hasn't been done yet as the pet is missing attack and defend animations. That work will take a little longer to complete, but we didn't want to have those missing animations block us from making the change alongside the Mid-Game Rebalance.

Grand Exchange Improvements

This week we're making some exciting upgrades to the Grand Exchange, all with one goal in mind: giving you a clearer, more accurate picture of what your items are really worth! If you've ever tried to buy or sell an item only to find its listed market price was lagging behind reality, these changes are for you. We're making market prices update faster, tweaking how often they're recalculated, and introducing a brand-new Recent Trading Price indicator that shows the average value of the last 10 trades. That means less guesswork, better insight into what's happening right now, and more confidence when you're making your next big trade.

But that's not all. We're also bringing a host of quality-of-life improvements to make trading smoother than ever. You'll be able to see exactly how much of your buy limit you've used, while completed trade data will be shared with the RuneScape Wiki to power more accurate price tracking and historical market data. Whether you're chasing profits, stocking up on supplies, or keeping a close eye on market trends, these updates are designed to make the Grand Exchange a more powerful, transparent, and useful hub for every trader in Gielinor.

HCIM Leaderboards Update

A few years ago a bug caused the Hardcore Iron Man Leaderboard data to become corrupted.

The Bug and Situation:

When (Player A) died or de-ironed, instead of the Leaderboard snapshotting their character and its associated scores on the leaderboard, it instead associated (random Player B's) score with (Player A's) name on the leaderboard.
Importantly, this predominantly affected the RuneScore and other activity Leaderboards (such as Clue Scrolls). Skill Level Leaderboards were and remain unaffected.

The bug was fixed, but the Leaderboards were unfortunately left in a still corrupted state (until now!).

The HCIM Leaderboard is currently correctly tracking anyone who is a current Iron Man or who perished (or de-iron'd) since the bug was fixed in August 2025. However, these correct entries are currently dwarfed by a large amount of corrupted data including many IronMen with inaccurate or impossible scores.

The Solution:

Recovering the data from dead and corrupted HCIM is not possible, because the data in question is a one-time snapshot that is taken at time of death or de-ironing - the exact moment at which the bug occurred. So there is no source of truth to return to.

Our next steps are as follows:

In the near future, we will back up the current (corrupted) HCIM Leaderboard, in case we want to refer to or replicate it in future.
We will then remove all corrupted HCIM data from the corrupted HCIM Leaderboard.
- To be clear: Any player that is removed from the corrupted HCIM Leaderboard as a result of this will not have been displaying an accurate score, possibly being significantly under or above their actual score (which is not recoverable).
- Skill Level Leaderboards will remain unaffected as these were not corrupted.
We will leave all valid entries on the HCIM Leaderboard (this is any HCIM who is currently alive or who died or de-iron'd after August 2025).

The result will be a once more fully accurate HCIM Leaderboard.

We're announcing these changes today, before moving to implement them in the coming weeks, as we feel this is a change that is important to signpost ahead of time.

Marketplace Drop: TzekHaar

Today's Marketplace drop brings a blazing collection of volcanic-themed cosmetics inspired by the power of the Elder Kiln, check out the dedicated blog here for full info!

We're enhancing the iconic Igneous Kal-Zuk Capes, meaning players who have already earned them will automatically benefit from these updates when they arrive in-game today.

Alongside this we are introducing exclusive Marketplace cosmetic variants, available only to players who have obtained the corresponding base cape in-game.

Unlock striking new looks, including the fearsome Obsidian Kal-Zuk Cape, the nostalgic Infernal Kal-Zuk Cape inspired by Old School RuneScape, and the complete Obsidian Kal-Capes Bundle.

Patch Notes

Hotfixed

Fixed an issue where players were only being refunded 1 demonic skull if they owned multiple.
Resolved an issue where attempting to create Broad arrows and any other special arrow would not open the fletching interface on the correct arrow.
Seals from GWD2 no longer drop if you have maximum reputation.
Teleporting to GWD1 via War's Retreat no longer resets the killcount.
Fixed an issue where mahogany and teak logs were not creating arrow shafts correctly.

Player Owned Housing

Added the ability to use noted potions in the potion cauldron in POH.
Tooltip edits made to the furniture storage interface buttons when selecting furniture categories to make navigation more clear.
Furniture plans in the Sunlight Sands event shop have been updated with the correct name and icons.
Updated a few landscape paintings to their modern versions in POH.
Furniture pieces that are walls are no longer deleted when building a room next to it or removing a room next to it.
Added new supported capes to cape stand system. Displayed capes should now behave the same as wearable cape with emotes, teleports and features.
Re-added the ability to make a cup of tea in the player owned house that boosts the player's construction level.
POH boss trophies now have a loot beam.
Added the ability to move rooms in the POH.
Added the ability to change floor styles in the POH on a room by room basis.
Added a context-sensitive "Edit Room" button that recognises which room the player is currently in.

Mid-Game Rebalance

Fixed an issue where longbows were unable to be cut from logs on F2P worlds.
Fixed an issue with the tune bane spell not being able to tune arrows correctly.
Bows and crossbows now give the correct quantity of invention components.
The sighted magic longbow can no longer be equipped on F2P worlds.
Fixed an issue that was stopping Nightstone and Daystone skyboxes from being selected.
Fixed an issue within the bane smithing interface that was causing the item creation to be reset when trying to make a misc item.
Resolved an issue where in some instances the committed perk was not cleaned up on login when part of a combo gizmo.
Fixed an issue with the killcount overlay at GWD2 displaying max rep as 2001.
Yew shortbows and longbows are now for members only.
The Dive ability is now only usable in P2P
Bane arrow creation has been removed from the 'other arrow' interface

Engine

Improved the lighting of models in menus and interfaces.

What Is Leagues?

Leagues is RuneScape's limited time game mode where everyone starts fresh on a brand new save and progresses at a ludicrously accelerated speeds.

As you complete Tasks, unlock powerful Relics, and explore new opportunities, you will work toward exclusive rewards while creating your own unique build and playstyle. And with our Account Nomination feature you're able to play on one account but choose for the ultimate rewards you earn to go to your main account (or whichever account you choose).

This League, titled EQUILIBRIUM, is inspired by Guthix, the God of Balance. As his influence spreads across Gielinor, your choices will shape the powers you wield and the path you follow.

When the league begins, you'll create a dedicated league character and enter special league worlds. This character exists separately from your main adventure and is included with your existing membership, meaning you can jump straight into the action without affecting your primary account.

Throughout the league, you'll complete unique challenges known as Tasks, earning League Points and unlocking powerful Relics and Blessings that fundamentally reshape your experience in Gielinor. Reach new heights at lightning speed with supercharge XP rates, as every unlock empowers your journey with new possibilities, powerful combinations, and exciting ways to forge your own path.

This time around, your journey is defined by the choices you make. Every region you unlock, every Relic you choose, every Task you pursue, and every Blessing you claim shapes a unique path through Gielinor. Those decisions unlock different bosses to conquer, new skilling opportunities to master, and rewards to chase, ensuring no two adventures are quite the same.

But with great choice comes tough decisions. You won't be able to unlock everything, so every selection carries real weight. Whether you're chasing incredible power, efficient progression, or a completely unique playstyle, we're making sure every Region, Relic, and Blessing feels impactful, rewarding, and worthwhile in its own right. The challenge isn't just deciding what to take, it's deciding what to leave behind.

With no player-to-player trading, success depends on the path you forge for yourself. Whether you embrace Order, seek Balance, or unleash Chaos, your story will be uniquely your own.

Brand New Free-to-Play Access

For the first time ever, Leagues can be experienced in limited fashion through Free-to-Play! Giving more players the chance to join in on the fun without needing Membership to get started.

Dedicated Free-to-Play League Worlds provide access to the first three tiers of Relics giving you the core league experience, allowing adventurers to complete tasks, earn league rewards, and progress through the early stages of the season from day one.

Free-to-Play players can unlock up to three tiers of Relics, explore all the available Free-to-Play regions, and experience the key progression systems that make leagues so rewarding. When you're ready to take your adventure further, upgrading to Membership offers a seamless transition into the full league experience, with access to additional regions, more Relic tiers, and even greater challenges and rewards.

A Significantly Different RuneScape

Over the past eight months, RuneScape has undergone a significant transformation both through our content roadmap and the Road to Restoration, which aims to return integrity to the heart of RuneScape. Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to jump in and see how these changes have improved the overall game.

If your last outing into RuneScape was with last year's Leagues: CATALYST (or even earlier), here're just some of the changes you can look forward to:

Completely overhauled Player-Owned House and Construction skill.
Reworked Daemonheim Dungeoneering.
A new continent to explore in the form of Havenhythe.
Greatly modernised and streamlined combat, thanks to our Combat Style Modernisation update.
A refreshed Player Avatar.
A simplified UI by default (the customizable UI can still be enabled via your settings).
Remastered environments, especially in Misthalin.
A streamlining of time restricted gameplay with our changes to DailyScape and Auras.
Various balancing and QOL improvements which will ease your journey through the early and mid-game.

Region Unlocking

One of the biggest twists in Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is the introduction of a region-based progression system commonly referred to as "Region Locking".

You begin your adventure in the Misthalin region, with access to the Havenhythe region, but the rest of the wider world remains locked. You can then expand beyond these starting regions by completing task milestones. Karamja will be unlocked when you complete your first milestone, granting you access to three regions almost from the get go.

From there, you will be able to unlock an additional three more regions...

Asgarnia - With its access to places like the God Wars Dungeon or the City of Falador.
Kandarin - Full of skilling spaces like the Player Owned Farm, Hall of Memories and Deep Sea Fishing Hubs.
Fremennik Province - Including all of its Islands, such as Neitiznot, Lunar Isles & Jatizso.
Forinthry (Wilderness) - Chock full of dangerous Slayer enemies, Fort Forinthry & Daemonheim.
Desert - Brimming with areas like Menaphos and Het's Oasis.
Morytania - Offers a wide variety of content from bosses like Araxxor, or the skilling benefits of the Everlight Digsite.
Tirannwn - The elven lands are full of potential benefits, from the City of Prifddinas to access to the Lost Grove.
Anachronia - Full of big dinosaurs! Hunt em, fight em, farm em!

You'll have to carefully decide which of these areas to unlock as you won't be able to unlock every region. Do you focus on getting access to as many bosses as possible? Do you have a build in mind that wants access to a specific training method or piece of gear? Or do you just really like hanging out in the Crafting Guild?

Auto-Completed Quests

Another core improvement to Leagues II that we're introducing to this league is that you won't need to spend your time working through long quest chains just to access the content you want to play.

Each region comes with a large number of quests automatically completed, giving you immediate access to many of its key features, activities, and rewards from the moment you unlock it.

That means less time grinding to meet requirements and more time adventuring. Choose Tirannwn and you'll be able to head straight to Prifddinas. Select the Desert, and Menaphos will be within easy reach almost immediately.

While some parts of the wider world will remain beyond your grasp, your chosen regions are designed to be fully accessible, letting you dive directly into the content that matters most to your league journey.

Even Faster Progression

Tasks are the key to progressing through a league season. Completing Tasks earns you League Points, which determine your League Trophy and unlock increasingly powerful Relics to help you earn even more points.

Tasks are divided into tiers ranging from Easy to Master, offering everything from quick wins worth 10 points to major achievements that reward up to 400 points. Whether you enjoy skilling, hunting rare drops, tackling bosses or taking part in minigames, there are challenges designed to suit every playstyle and encourage exploration across all of Gielinor.

This season's tasks have been designed to deliver a smoother and more rewarding experience, with better-balanced objectives, meaningful progression milestones, and more opportunities to engage with recent RuneScape content.

Many of the barriers that previously slowed you down, such as lengthy reputation grinds and complex quest requirements, have been reduced or automatically unlocked.

The result is a league where you can spend less time overcoming unnecessary obstacles and more time tackling the content you enjoy, earning points, and progressing towards ever-greater rewards.

Path to Progress

In addition to region unlocking, this league will contain two other distinct progression systems:

Relics, which return from last year's Leagues (Catalyst).
Blessings, a new combat focused progression system.

Brand-New Relics

This season, we've taken a fresh look at Relics with a particular focus on balance. Our goal was to ensure that every choice feels compelling, reducing clear "best-in-slot" options and creating more meaningful decisions throughout your journey. The result is a Relic system where your choices are driven more by your playstyle and goals rather than by obvious power picks.

With that in mind, let's take a look at how you'll unlock these powerful Relics...!

By earning League Points, you'll progress through seven Relic tiers, each packed with new bonuses and game-changing choices. From skilling and resource gathering to teleportation and combat, Relics enhance your experience around your preferred playstyle. Every choice helps shape your journey, creating new opportunities and strategies as you progress through the league.

As you unlock higher tiers, the Relics become increasingly impactful, opening up new ways to tackle challenges and optimise your build. Your setup will feel unique, reflecting the goals you've pursued and the path you've taken through the season. With every tier comes another meaningful decision: strengthen your existing advantages or unlock entirely new possibilities.

Every Relic choice shapes your league journey, allowing you to build a playstyle that feels uniquely yours and tackle the season in the way that suits you best.

A new Relic isn't the only reward waiting at each tier.

This season's passive bonuses have been significantly enhanced, helping you dive into the fun faster than ever before. Enjoy massive XP boosts, improved rare drop rates, unlimited run energy, passive Skillcape perks, free Invention materials from combat, and much more as you climb the tiers and power up your journey through the league.

New Blessings System

New this season, Blessings introduce a dedicated combat progression system that grows alongside your league journey. While Relics offer a mix of combat, utility, and gameplay-enhancing effects, Blessings focus exclusively on combat power.

They are unlocked by completing Blessing Tasks within your chosen regions, challenging you to overcome increasingly difficult combat challenges as you progress through the tiers.

As you earn Blessings, you'll unlock powerful upgrades that enhance your effectiveness in battle while supporting a variety of playstyles without locking you into a specific combat style.

As you progress through eight Blessing tiers, you'll have a number of opportunities to choose between three paths themed around Order, Chaos, and Balance, allowing you to shape your combat strengths as your build evolves.

At Tiers 4 and 8, you'll unlock a special God Tier Blessing. These upgrades offer some of the most powerful combat effects available in the league and are determined by the choices you make in the preceding Blessing tiers. Rather than selecting them directly, your God Tier Blessings are influenced by the path you've followed:

Choose two or more Blessings of Chaos, and you'll unlock the Chaos God Blessing.
Choose two or more Blessing of Balance, or one Blessing from each path, and you'll unlock the Balance God Blessing.
Choose two or more Blessings of Order, and you'll unlock the Order God Blessing.

This system adds another layer of strategic decision-making to your league journey. Every Blessing choice contributes towards your eventual God Tier Blessings, making each decision meaningful as you shape a combat style that suits your preferred way to play.

However, your path isn't set in stone. You'll be able to reset your Blessing progression up to three times throughout the League, giving you the freedom to experiment with different builds, explore new strategies, and pursue a different God Tier Blessing if your plans change.

One reset is available from Tier 1, with two more unlocked as you progress through the Blessing tiers.

In addition to the choices they offer, each Blessing tier grants a range of powerful passive combat benefits. As you progress, you'll unlock perks that improve mobility, reduce ammunition/rune usage, boost your combat performance by improving accuracy and enhancing adrenaline or remove traditional costs and restrictions associated with PvM like equipment degradation.

With eight tiers to unlock, Blessings provide a substantial source of power growth throughout the League, helping you take on Gielinor's toughest encounters with greater efficiency and confidence.

Tier 1 Relics Revealed

Following community feedback from last year, the Tier 1 Relics have been designed to feel more impactful from the very beginning and throughout the entire league.

Survivalist

Aimed at the gatherer who like to get hands on, this Relic is all about maximising resource collection.

It doubles resources gained from Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, and Archaeology excavation hotspots, helping you stockpile materials faster than ever before.

To support your adventures, it also grants powerful gathering tools for Mining, Woodcutting, and Fishing, making resource collection even more efficient. On top of that, you'll unlock the Survivalist's Bag, an enhanced storage container capable of holding up to 150 of three different types of logs, ores, or fish at once.

Whether you're training skills, preparing supplies, or building up your bank, this Relic ensures you'll never be short on resources.

Endless Harvest

This Relic is built for players who want a smoother, more laid back gathering experience.

Resources collected through Archaeology, Farming, Fishing, Mining, and Woodcutting can be sent directly to your bank or metal bank, keeping your inventory clear and letting you stay gathering. On top of that, Fishing, Mining, and Woodcutting each have a 10% chance to upgrade resources to the next tier, helping you gather higher-level materials as you train.

It also removes many of the interruptions that slow down gathering. Trees are rarely felled, fishing spots can be followed automatically when they move, and your character will resume gathering as soon as a tree regrows. Miners benefit from permanently full stamina, while Archaeologists gain the benefits of an always-active Time Sprite, ensuring consistent progress at excavation hotspots.

Combined, these effects create a highly streamlined gathering experience that maximises uptime and keeps resources flowing.

Golden Touch

This Relic is the perfect choice for players looking to master Agility and Thieving, turning both skills into powerful sources of experience, resources, and wealth.

It grants the Goldenhawk Boots, a pair of T60 Hybrid style boots which passively award Agility XP while you're on the move, skilling, or using ultimate abilities. As you train Agility and Thieving, you'll also have a chance to obtain Goldenhawk Feathers, valuable items that can be converted into Prayer XP or alchemised for a sizable coin reward.

This Relic also dramatically speeds up progression by doubling Agility course XP, preventing all course and shortcut failures, and rewarding coins for every completed lap based on your Agility level. Thieves receive guaranteed success on all pickpocketing attempts, tripled loot, and all rewards automatically noted. Stalls never deplete, safes can be opened without cooldowns, and repeated thieving actions continue automatically, allowing for uninterrupted training.

Additionally all coins obtained through Thieving are increased by 100x multiplier, while chests and safes can reward additional bundles of herbs and potion ingredients sent directly to your bank.

Making this Relic a powerful combination of training efficiency, passive rewards, and profit generation.

There are no wrong choices though. Each Relic supports a different playstyle and serves as the first of many build-defining decisions throughout the League.

Most of this may feel familiar to some you if you already checked out our preview a few weeks back - since then we've changed the following things, so do check out the details on those below:

Changes since the Mid-Game Rebalance Preview:

Further buffed XP for Anachronia full lap completions (details in Agility Rebalance).
Further buffed XP for Harmonic Dust (details in General Changes).
Removed negative perks from invention (details in General Changes).
Increased the weighting for Vannaka to offer Sanguine Crawler tasks.
The Artificers measure now has parity with the new Upgraded Gem bag and can be filled with Opal, Jade and Topaz gems as well as noted gems.

Core Fletching Re-Tier

The Fletching re-tier has been in the works for quite some time, and the Mid-Game Rebalance provides the perfect opportunity to finally bring it to life.

Over the years, a number of inconsistencies have appeared throughout Fletching progression. Certain weapons and ammunition have level requirements that don't align with similarly powerful equipment found elsewhere in the game, while some level bands contain noticeable gaps or confusing progression paths. Some of these issues have also emerged as a result of previous Woodcutting tiering changes.

This update aims to address the majority of those inconsistencies, creating a more logical and intuitive progression path for both Fletching and Ranged combat. By aligning item requirements more closely with their power, filling progression gaps, and improving consistency across level bands, we want the journey from early levels through to 99 and beyond to feel smoother, easier to understand, and more rewarding.

It's important to note that this update focuses on re-tiering the core Fletching skill rather than overhauling it entirely. As a result, not every Fletching item has been revisited as part of this project. Darts, knives, and javelins will remain unchanged for now.

Given their relatively low usage in the current game, we felt comfortable prioritising other areas of Fletching progression for this update. However, we're keen to revisit these items in the future as part of a broader review of their role and relevance within RuneScape's combat and skilling ecosystems.

Summary of Changes

Retiered existing Shortbows, Longbows, Crossbows and 2h Crossbows
- Yew shortbows and longbows are retiered to level 70 and, as a result, have become members only items. Free-to-play players will still have level 40 and 50 Ranged options through Maple and Acadia bows.
Added in additional Shortbows, Longbows, Crossbows and 2h Crossbows to fill in holes in the leveling.
Shieldbows are being retired and replaced wholesale with their equivalent tier Longbows.
- Our data indicates that shieldbows have been left in such an awkward space that their usage is incredibly low, meaning that they actually add bloat and inconsistency to the game. By replacing them with Longbows we expect the choice of bow to be made easier and less confusing for players.
  - The primary reason for this change is because shieldbows have acted as a bit of a trap to newer players who are fletching them without realising that they deal vastly reduced damage compared to an equivalent shortbow, despite them having a higher fletching requirement.
- All current shieldbows gain +1 range when converted to longbows.
- The Strykebow remain as a shieldbow.
Standardised metal usage in Crossbow creation.

Drop tables and shop inventory containing items that have been retiered, where appropriate, are replaced with the new item for that range level instead.
Achievements and quests are adjusted where needed to account for these retiering changes.
Added in missing tiers of Arrows & Bolts (Orikalkum → Elder Rune)
Bane ammunition has been changed from having its own special creation methods to be unified with regular arrows and bolts.
- Tune Bane Ore can be cast on bane bolts/arrows, rather than banite ore or banite rock, to enchant them into Abyssal/Basilisk/Dragon/Wallasalkibane bolts/arrows.
- Tune Bane Ore can still be cast on Dinarrows to enchant them into Jas Demonbane arrows.
Primal ammunition has also been unified to be created in the same way as regular arrows and bolts.
- Unf bolts are created by bars and feathered like regular bolts.
- Primal bolts are made in increments of 50 Unf bolts per bar, bringing them in line with all other bolt creation quantities
  - The bolt and arrow proficiency leveling benefits have been removed, but their XP when you first unlock them has a higher baseline.

Note that we are not planning to introduce Teak and Mahogany Short or Longbows, as these are considered hardwood, which is entirely unsuitable for use in bow fletching.

Agility Rebalance

Following the Early-Game Rebalance, we're revisiting Agility courses all the way to level 99. These changes focus on creating a more consistent progression curve across the skill, with most courses receiving substantial XP-per-hour increases to make training feel smoother, more rewarding, and better balanced at every level.

Divination Rebalance

We're making changes to Divination as part of our ongoing effort to improve progression throughout the game. Rather than directly increasing XP rates, these changes focus on making energy gathering feel more consistent as you level up, avoiding situations where unlocking a new energy type can feel slower or less effective than what came before.

As a general rule, we're aiming for players to have around a 70% success rate when they first unlock a new energy type, helping new unlocks feel rewarding from the moment they're available.

The changes below show the average increase to your chance of gathering each type of energy across its level range. Players will see the biggest benefits when they first unlock a new energy type, with the bonus gradually settling into its long-term value as they continue training.

For example, a player unlocking Gleaming energy at level 50 would previously have had around a 64.9% chance to successfully gather energy. With this update, that increases to 70%, and continues to improve as their Divination level rises. Over time, this works out to an average increase of around 4% across the level band, helping to smooth out the gathering experience while providing a small boost to XP rates through more consistent successful gathers.

The values below show the average increase to your energy gathering success rate across each energy type's level range. New unlocks will receive a larger boost initially before settling to these long-term values.

God Wars Dungeon Changes:

We're making some changes to God Wars Dungeon 1, which can currently feel overly punishing for players entering the mid-game. While the experience improves as your account progresses, taking your first steps into the dungeon can be slower and more challenging than intended. These updates aim to make that initial experience smoother and more enjoyable.

To make repeat trips to God Wars Dungeon 1 less frustrating, killcount now works similarly to God Wars Dungeon 2. Your killcount is no longer lost when leaving the dungeon, allowing you to build and maintain it across multiple visits.
To balance this change, killcount is now be capped at 200.
With these updates in place, the Omni Soulstone and the Armadylean, Bandosian, Saradominist, and Zamorakian Soulstones have been removed, as they are no longer needed to support the killcount system.

We're also making some changes to God Wars Dungeon 2. While the Reputation system was designed to reward long-term engagement, it currently takes too long to unlock its full benefits, with many players progressing beyond the dungeon before reaching maximum drop rates. These changes aim to make the rewards more accessible and the overall progression feel more worthwhile:

Maximum reputation has been reduced from 5,000 to 2,000, with all reputation rewards rescaled to match the new progression curve.
Drop-rate unlocks have been removed from the Reputation system. All players now benefit from the highest available drop rates from the moment they start tackling God Wars Dungeon 2 bosses, removing the need to grind reputation before accessing the dungeon's best rewards.
- Reputation can still be earned to unlock its associated rewards, but it should now feel like a natural bonus earned through gameplay rather than a prerequisite for efficient bossing.
  - As part of these changes, the "The Venerated" title has been moved down one reward tier, making it available earlier in the reputation journey.

General Changes:

Demonic Skull
- The Demonic Skull was originally introduced as a risk-versus-reward mechanic, but we feel its role in the game is no longer meaningful. Following feedback and a review of its place in modern RuneScape, we're removing the item with this update.
  - The Demonic Skull is no longer be obtainable, and any players who own one when the update launches should receive a full refund of its purchase cost.
Invention Perks
- Invention can be a difficult skill to get into, particularly for newer players. One of the biggest pain points is the number of negative perks that can appear on gizmos, making progression feel punishing and discouraging experimentation. To make the skill more approachable and reduce unnecessary frustration, we're removing the following perks entirely:
  - Antitheism
  - Profane
  - Inaccurate
  - Junk Food
  - Undead Bait
  - Demon Bait
  - Dragon Bait
  - Cautious
  - Mediocrity
  - Fatiguing
  - Committed
  - Butterfingers
  - Blunted
  - Cheapskate
  - Confused
    - Any existing gizmos or augmented items containing these perks have had the affected perk removed automatically.

Dive Ability
- This ability is currently locked behind the "Succession" Quest, which requires 60 Mining and 60 Smithing to complete. These requirements feel out of step with the ability itself, creating an unnecessary progression barrier and making the unlock path feel inconsistent.
  - To better align the ability with its intended use, it no longer require completion of Succession and instead is unlocked naturally at 30 Agility.
Red and Crystal Sandstone
- We've heard your feedback on sandstone mining, and we agree that it still feels slower than we'd like. With flask prices continuing to rise, we think it's the right time to make gathering sandstone quicker and more rewarding.
  - To help with this, we've reduced the hitpoints of all sandstone rocks by 50, allowing them to be mined more quickly.
    - We're also giving an additional boost to the higher-tier sandstone sources. Sophanem Red Sandstone (unlocked through the Elite Desert Tasks) and Meilyr Crystal Sandstone (found in the Edimmu Resource Dungeon) have had their hitpoints reduced by a further 50, making these premium sources even faster to gather from.

Harmonium Harps
- With the removal of the Travelling Merchant, we've seen feedback that obtaining Harmonic Dust now feels more time-consuming than intended. To help offset this and keep progression towards crystal tools and equipment feeling reasonable, we're increasing the rate at which Harmonic Dust is earned from harps.
  - Harmonic Dust gained from harps has been increased by 40%. This should make gathering Harmonic Dust feel significantly less grindy while preserving it as a meaningful long-term goal.
Instances
- Instance costs are being removed from all boss encounters. These fees no longer provide meaningful gameplay value and can act as an unnecessary barrier, particularly for players learning new bosses.
  - Boss-specific entry requirements remain unchanged, so you'll still need items such as Ascension Keystones, Keys to the Crossing, and Barrows Totems where applicable.
TzRek-Jad (Jad Pet)
- This pet was previously purchased with Zeal or Thaler and felt a bit disconnected from the rest of the boss pets. For this reason it has been moved be onto Jad's drop table and collection log. Please note, however, that this pet will not be able to be set as an override for familiars.

Upgraded Gem Bag & Artificer's Measure
- The Upgraded Gem Bag has felt a little inconsistent, particularly when upgrading to the enhanced version. We want it to feel like a more natural progression upgrade and a clear quality-of-life improvement for players who spend time gathering gems.
  - The Upgraded Gem Bag can now hold up to 100 of each gem type including Jade, Opal, and Red Topaz gems.
- The Artificers measure has also been updated to have parity with the Gem bag and can be filled with Opal, Jade and Topaz gems as well as noted gems.

Drop Rates

Drop rates have be increased on the following items:

Dragon Pickaxe
- The Dragon Pickaxe is an important mid-game upgrade, but its current drop rates make it rarer than we'd like for players at this stage of progression. We want to make the item more accessible while preserving its value and keeping it a rewarding drop to obtain.
  - Chaos Dwarf Dragon Pickaxe drop rate increased from 1/5,000 to 1/3,000.
  - Chaos Giant Dragon Pickaxe drop rate increased from 1/10,000 to 1/1,000.
Sanguine Crawler & Vampyrism Gloves
- Vampyrism Gloves don't quite fit the progression slot they're intended to occupy in the mid-game. While we still want them to feel like a valuable reward, the current drop rates can make obtaining them more difficult than intended.
  - Vampyrism Gloves drop rate increased from 1/500 to 1/200 while on a Slayer task.
  - Vampyrism Gloves drop rate increased from 1/2,000 to 1/1,000 while off-task.
  - Vannaka's weighting to assign Sanguine Crawlers as a Slayer task has been increased to 15.
Corporeal Beast Sigils
- Corporeal Beast Sigils occupy an unusual space in the game's progression. Not only are they rarer than we'd like for the power they provide, but the current distribution of sigil drops can also feel inconsistent, with some sigils appearing far more frequently than others.
  - The overall Sigil drop rate has been doubled, increasing from 1/512 kills to 1/256 kills.
  - All Sigil types now have an equal chance of being awarded. When a Sigil drops, each of the four Sigils have a 1-in-4 chance of being received.
Linza the Disgraced (Barrows)
- Linza's equipment currently stands out from the rest of the Barrows rewards due to its significantly lower drop rates. This makes completing the set feel disproportionately grindy compared to other Barrows gear, despite filling a similar progression role.
  - The drop rate for Linza's equipment has been doubled, improving from 1/192 to 1/96.

Luck

While working on this project, we took the opportunity to fix several other issues that had arisen.

Added luck drop chance modifier for Dragon Pickaxe when killing Chaos dwarves and dwogres.
Added luck drop chance modifier for Unchecked dinosaur eggs.
Added luck spawn chance modifier for Gout Tuber.
Off-hand khopesh and Seren symbols drops should now display correct message in chat about obtaining them.

For nearly two decades, Player-Owned Housing has been a part of the RuneScape journey.

It's where many of us built our first virtual homes (way before we knew what the heck a mortgage is), proudly showed off our achievements, hosted house parties with friends and spent far too much time figuring out where to put that next portal. It was our corner of Gielinor. A place that was uniquely ours!

But as RuneScape continued to grow, Player-Owned Housing remained largely unchanged. The fantasy of building and customising your own home has always been there, but the tools available to bring that vision to life haven't kept pace with the game around it.

Well... that changes TODAY!

Today, we're excited to share the next chapter of Player-Owned Housing and Construction. This isn't just an update to an already existing feature. It's a complete reimagining of one of RuneScape's most iconic systems, rebuilt from the ground up to give you more freedom, more creativity, more progression and more reasons than EVER to call this little plot of land your home! And better yet, just like our Dungeoneering overhaul, this rework is intended to set a foundation that can enable both the Player-Owned-House and the Construction skill to continue to develop and expand in future.

Whether you're dreaming of a cosy cottage tucked away from the world, a huge mansion filled with all the trophies you've collected on your adventures, or a bustling Homestead shared with your friends, this update is designed to help you create a space that reflects your journey.

What's New and Why We're So Excited

Let's start with the easiest of questions: Who is this update for?

The answer is simple: everyone.

The PvMer preparing for another trip to Amascut.
The clue hunters looking for simple destination teleporting without the baggage of too many objects.
The collector with years of trophies and keepsakes waiting to be displayed.
The social player planning their next house party with friends.
And the architect who simply wants to build the home they've always dreamed of.
No matter how you play RuneScape, there's a place for you to call home.

Build the Home You've Always Wanted

Every great home starts with an idea. At the heart of the new Player-Owned Housing experience is the freedom to make it your own, and the first time you step into Build Mode, you'll immediately notice something significant has changed...

In total, you'll have access to or be able to unlock:

5 house exterior styles
12 room shapes
Over 650 pieces of furniture and decorations
Free furniture placement
Updated classics and brand new additions

Now let's dive into the details of what the above actually means!

Room placement

Let's start with room placement. As you progress through the Construction skill you'll unlock larger rooms, and more interesting shapes. Much like the original system, rooms will cost coins to place.

Build Mode offers two ways to add a room.

In the first instance, simply click on an existing doorway in your home and select "Add Room". If there's enough space, your new room will connect seamlessly to your house!

The second option places the entire room at your fingertips. Literally! Move your selected room shape into your chosen position, give it a few rotations to ensure you're happy and then click to commit!

Customize your room's entry spaces or hide them entirely!

Another change coming to the new build system is the ability to customise your doorway spaces. You can choose between an "open doorway", a "filled in wall", or a "wall with a window" to let all that sunshine in!

Furniture placement

Gone are they days of having a specific room like 'Quest Hall', or 'Workshop' where you were limited to a specific piece of furniture in a very specific spot. We've also said farewell to the constrictions of building a piece of furniture and having to completely delete it if you weren't happy with it's placement.

Now, furniture you've crafted and collected can be stored in the Furniture Storage system found in Rimmington. Once furniture is stored here, it can be easily accessed in Construction's Build Mode, ready for placement. Think of this like a dedicated inventory for your Player-Owned House!

Enhanced Controls

With all the new systems being implemented we of course needed to overhaul the way you control them!

You'll be able to manipulate the position of both full rooms and pieces of furniture using your mouse controls and keyboard. Once you're happy, just click to commit. And if you do change your mind, simply pick the piece up, reposition, and place it down again.

Alternatively, if you're wanting to start over fresh, you can enter the remove furniture mode that will return any furniture you click back to your storage for use again later. Simples!

For years, housing has offered players a place to call their own, but there were always limits to what you could build. This reimagined system gives you far more control over how your home looks, feels and essentially functions, allowing you to build a space that's truly yours.

Whether you're carefully recreating your dream home, designing the perfect social grounds for your friends and clan or experimenting with your layouts in a way that would make our RuneScape Estate agents weep, the choice is entirely yours!

The result is a Player-Owned House that feels unmistakably RuneScape, while giving you more freedom than ever before to make it your own.

Proudly display your journey

The most important things in your house won't just be the walls, the furniture or even that Bob the Cat rug you love so much.

Each item will have a story.

For years, adventurers across Gielinor have been collecting rare rewards, earning those capes, defeating bosses, completing age-old quest lines and uncovering hidden collectables along the way. Until now, many of those memories lived in your bank tabs, achievement interfaces or tucked away in some storage.

With your new Player-Owned House, your accomplishments finally have a place to belong!

Create trophy rooms filled with all your greatest victories, proudly display your hard-earned collections and turn your home into a reflection of the adventures you've had through RuneScape.

A House You'll Actually Use

Player-Owned Housing has always had its uses. A handy teleport here, an altar there, and then off you went on your next adventure.

With this reimagining, your home becomes so much more.

Designed around the way players actually play RuneScape today, your house can become a hub for planning and preparing before setting off.

Travel across Gielinor with additional teleport options, prepare for your next PVM with specialist utility furniture and finally find somewhere to put all that stuff you've been hoarding.

For the first time, your house isn't just somewhere you occasionally visit. It's a meaningful part of your RuneScape journey. A place to prepare, regroup, organise and return to time and time again. Below are just a few examples of the functional furniture you can look forward to!

Examples of New Utility:

Potion Cauldron
- Each cauldron can store on timed potion type at a time, up to 250 doses. Non-timer potions cannot be added to the cauldron.
- Drinking from the cauldron acts as drinking a normal single-dose drink and, where applicable, a larger multi-dose drink option.
- Up to 5 cauldrons can be placed on your plot.
- Upgrading your cauldron tier can increase the potion timer duration.
Jewellery box
- The Jewellery Box stores your teleport jewellery (think: games, glory, wealth etc.)
- Depending on the tier of Jewellery Box, you'll be able to use it to quick-teleport to various jewellery destinations.

A quick note on Damaged Artefact storage - In an earlier blog on Player-Owned Housing, we mentioned some of the functional furniture we’d like to introduce with this update. One of the most requested additions was Damaged Artefact Storage, aimed at helping players free up valuable bank space. Head over to our regular update blog to find out what's happening with that.

Create or join a Homestead with other players

Another very exciting addition coming to Player-Owned Housing is the introduction of Homesteads.

Create or join a Homestead with up to five players and build a thriving community together. Move seamlessly between homes, make use of each other's facilities and create something far bigger than any one house could be on its own!

Fancy showing off your latest creation? Visit public Homesteads, explore other players' designs and take inspiration from homes across Gielinor.

Or, if we're being honest, just be incredibly nosy.

And because visitor numbers aren't restricted, we're incredibly excited to see what happens when house parties make their return!

For the first time, your house doesn't just reflect your own journey. It becomes part of a living community. Your community.

Construction Reimagined

Of course, none of this happens overnight.

Everything you've seen so far is powered by a completely reimagined Construction skill, that is not just expanding all the way to level 120, but is being completely reimagined from the ground up.

Progressing through construction will now generally mean unlocking new furniture, new utility features, new customisation options and new opportunities to grow your home.

The traditional build-and-destroy training loop has been replaced with a brand-new furniture crafting system designed to make every level feel rewarding.

As mentioned above, everything you construct will be added to your Furniture Storage system. However, those furniture items will require recipes to be craftable. You'll discover new recipes through levelling, questing and exploration across Gielinor, providing you with expanding opportunities to experiment as your home grows.

And yes, for those looking to push their craftsmanship even further, you'll be able to create Eternal furniture, taking your building aspirations beyond Mahogany and into entirely new territory.

Player-Owned Housing has been built to grow alongside RuneScape. As new adventures, rewards and content arrive across Gielinor, we'll continue expanding the system with new furniture, decorations and ways to personalise your home.

Getting Started and Returning to your House

Never built a Player-Owned House before? Don't worry, we've got you covered 😉

Every player, whether you're stepping into Player-Owned Housing for the very first time or returning to redo a home you built years ago, will begin their journey with a brand new introductory quest: There's No Place Like Home...

This short tutorial experience will guide you through the basics of Player-Owned Housing, teaching you how to place and remove furniture, build new rooms and start bringing your dream home to life.

By the end of your journey, you'll have your very own house, a handful of starter supplies and everything you need to begin building your corner of Gielinor.

That is, of course, just the beginning though!

Getting to your house with ease is an important part of what sets it's foundation as a place to return to. With that in mind, after you've completed the 'There's No Place Like Home' quest and reached level 50 Construction, your Teleport to House spell becomes free to cast, offering you unlimited access.

House portals have taken on a mechanical refresh too! Rather than specify your preference for which portal you want to access your home from, you'll instead be able to teleport to your home through any of the House portals scattered across the world, providing you have the associated Construction level needed to use it.

'If you can access them from anywhere, surely we can exit to anywhere?' - Correct! On your house exit portal, you'll find a new option; 'Exit to another portal' which will allow you to pop out at any of the house portals across Gielinor, providing you have the associated requirements shown above.

You'll still be able to pick a preferred house portal to arrive at, as well as deciding if your Teleport to House spell or tablets will place you inside or outside your house. Whilst we were tinkering with means of access, we also included a bit of QoL by added the ability to land inside or outside your house when using "Teleport to house" tablets.

What's happening with your old home

Of course, you will be wondering what's happening to your old Player-Owned House, especially if you've invested a lot of resources and furniture into it.

The gobbos came in the dark of night and carried it away brick by brick. Probably.

Either way, its walls have been folded in. However, any furniture that was present in your old house and that has been converted into the new system as part of todays update will be placed in your new Player-Owned House furniture storage. You'll be able to access this once you've completed the tutorial!

We've ported over most furniture, but don't worry if there is a previous piece of furniture that you cant find in the new building system. We have maintained a log of those items in your backend-save. This means that if we do port over any of those pieces of furniture in future, we'll know who already had them in the past and will be able to add them to your furniture storage unit.

A couple extra notes:

Player dungeons are not launching with the new player-owned house at launch, as the entire build and plot system work very differently to before. But don't worry, your rocnar is safe and sound should the day come to reunite (edited)
Portable Workbenches have been temporarily disabled with this update due to the skill's rework. We are looking into reenabling some of their functionality in future, though please do note that they will likely be affected or removed by our MTX item clean-up that is taking place this Winter.

You can't get a new house and not expect a housewarming gift! And no, don't worry, it's not another gravyboat. It's a little something from us to celebrate the last 20 years of player-owned houses.

For the first month from release, between July 13th and August 13th, if you visit your Player-Owned House (after completing the tutorial quest), you'll find a small token of our appreciation waiting for you. New Summer Event - Sunlight Sands

Sun, sea, and sand! As temperatures rise across Gielinor, there's no better time to escape and enjoy a well-earned beachside getaway.

Sunlight Sands is our new summer event, taking the place of the Beach in this year's calendar. Running from July 6th until August 3rd, it offers many of the familiar activities and seasonal fun from previous Beach events, all brought together in a different environment that's more naturally woven into the world of Gielinor because it isn't in Geilinor! Set in the Land of Sunlight the Sunlight Sands is a little piece of summer goodness to enjoy.

Once you arrive, you'll be able to build sandcastles, fire up the BBQ, fish in rock pools, hook ducks, harvest coconuts from palm trees, flex your pecs, and put your aim to the test at the coconut shy. Each activity offers XP in a variety of skills, giving you plenty of ways to relax while making progress.

As you take part in these seaside activities, you'll earn a brand-new event currency Sandy Sands. Spend your Sandy Sands at Sheldon or Gill's stores to unlock a whole host of summer-themed rewards, from beachwear and cosmetics to other seasonal goodies. So grab your sunscreen, settle into the sand, and start earning! Your can also earn Sandy Sand while you skill in Gielinor so you can still enjoy the summer vibes while working on your goals!

Of course, it wouldn't be summer without everyone's favourite giant enemy crab! Clawdia has also found her way to Sunlight Sands and will regularly burst onto the beach, giving players another opportunity to battle her for a chance at her boss pet.

The Beach's Legacy

Themed seasonal events have long been part of the fabric of Gielinor, adding a different flavour of content throughout the year. They serve as social hubs, offer a chance to unwind, and provide enjoyable drop-in experiences for all kinds of players and the Beach has always been no exception.

As we continue our work to improve the game and strengthen the integrity of Gielinor, we've been evolving our seasonal events to reduce dailyscape, streamline their mechanics, and make rewards more accessible. As part of that effort, we've reimagined the Beach as Sunlight Sands. While the setting may have changed, the spirit of the event remains the same: a place to relax, socialise, and enjoy a variety of fun, rewarding activities during the summer season.

To this end, there are a few features from the Beach that will not be making a return.

The Dungeoneering hole has been filled and is no longer available. While the accessibility of easy, AFK Dungeoneering experience was something some players enjoyed, we recently Remastered Dungeoneering and feel this is the right time to retire this activity.
The Temperature Gauge, Heatwaves, Icecreams, Happy Hours, and similar systems have also been removed, and XP gains from activities have been rebalanced accordingly. Originally, one of the features of the Beach was offering higher XP rates than other events, balanced by the Temperature Gauge limiting how long you could participate efficiently. However, this design ultimately encouraged daily min-maxing. As a result, we’ve removed these mechanics so you can now spend as much time as you like at Sunlight Sands gathering currency and progressing at your own pace.
- Icecreams remain available purely for earning the associated title.
Several Beach cocktails have also been removed. Previously, some of these provided XP boosts that led to a sense of mandatory upkeep rather than fun gameplay. To improve the overall experience, we’ve streamlined this system.
- You will still be able to acquire the “Fisherman’s Friend”, “George’s Peach Delight”, “Palmer Farmer”, and “Ugly Duckling” cocktails, as these provide boosts to event activities and feel more integrated into the updated design.
Sandy Clues were another daily mechanic and have not made a return for this event.

A variety of animations have had blinks added! This addition should help break-up the "dead stare" that has been more noticeable since the improved eyes on the player avatar.
Fixed an issue where a number of NPCs within Senntisten church had broken or invisible heads following the Avatar Rework update.
Fixed a gap in the model for the Goebie Warpaint Top (All Colours)
Skin clipping has been fixed on Hallowed Hood and Unhallowed Hood
The chathead eyes for Malevolent Helm (Soul) / (Ice) / (Aurora) now glow as intended

Fixed an issue where part of the bridge near the waterwheel was missing collision in the Blooming Burrow.
Fixed an issue where players could clip through environment pieces near the Twin Furies arena entrance in GWD2.
Removed a couple of force-walk tiles in the Mos Le'Harmless jungle area that were unintentionally present.
Fixed an issue with one of the dragon heads mounted on the wall in the Yanilla pub where it would clip through the ceiling to the first floor.
The sink located in Anachronia Dinosaur Farm is no longer interactable.
Fixed an issue that caused the "All Mine" achievement completion message to appear again while mining rocks.
Fixed an issue where the right-side of the 'Gate of Goshima' wall was removed if the 'remove roofs' option was set to 'always'.
Fixed a typo in Sandy the crab's post-quest dialogue.
Fixed an issue that caused the Dungeoneering broadcast to not appear properly when the Ring of Kinship interface was opened.

Engine

Fixed tree leaf and plant fade-in when moving around the world.
Fixed an issue where tri-planar mapping rendered incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where the "Quietest World" button could recommend worlds with a different language setting

- Work on the Avatar is progressing well, with over 105 avatar-related models being updated to the new avatar standards this week. This continues the skin ungrafting work that forms a large part of the update and that simply takes time to work through.
- Beyond the above, our patch notes include a number of Avatar-related fixes regarding clipping, stretching and other issues.

A Note of Phishing (The bad kind)

We’ve had a few reports of some players being phished out of their accounts.

As always, bad actors are always cooking up new tricks. We've heard of a new few ones including fake P-Mod application forms asking for login details and illegitimate Jagex Launcher downloads hosted on other websites.

This is a quick reminder to stay safe out there and think twice before entering sensitive details or downloading anything advertised as relative to RuneScape.

There are no P-Mod Application forms, and anything you download for RuneScape must be a subdomain of Jagex.com or RuneScape.com to be considered safe. Always download anything directly through our website or Launcher – nowhere else.

Some rules we always recommend:

Don't click suspicious links or download unknown files.
Jagex will never ask for your password or verification codes via email or messages. Never give away credentials that could be used to access your account.
Use your browser's phishing filters.

Player Avatar Refresh

A stretching issue with the Superior Morrigan's Leather on the female avatar has been fixed.
Hands no longer clip and stretch with the Fenrir body for the Male avatar.
Overseer Siv animates correctly in the Dead and Buried Questline
The avatars face now looks as expected with the Varrock Agent's Cowl
The Gold, Silver and Bronze Athlete's legs now animate as expected
Both eyes now glow when wearing the Malevolent Helm for the female avatar
Bik's Acolyte's Hood now covers the whole face including the nose and ears.

General

Resolved an issue that in rare cases caused bleeds to persist after death in a duel.
Resolved an issue that in rare cases caused bleeds to persist after death in clan wars.
Fixed an issue that caused the spellbook swap on the action bar to stop working after changing the spellbook.
Bloodlust stacks are now disabled during classic combat mode, as you have no way of activating them.
The action bar will no longer attempt to use abilities you can not use if you do not have the level required but are stat boosted. These abilities will also no longer light up on the bar or in the ability book.
Fixed an issue where other players and NPCs could appear invisible on a specific tile in Daemonheim.
Updated destroy messaging for Daemonheim Rewards shop items.
Forgotten Necromancers are now in a casual stance by default, rather than their combat stance.
Corrected the Hunter and Slayer level prerequisites for the "Giant Game Hunter", "Giant Chinchompa Hunter", and "Giant Kebbit Hunter" achievements.
Fixed the notice boards in the bank on tutorial island.
Fixed the benches in the church on tutorial island.
Fixed an issue that caused players and NPCs to clip inside the spinning wheel in the Cadarn Clan district in Prifddinas.
Removed a misplaced map on the south of Lunar Isle.
The "Going Down With the Ship" achievement can now be completed by ironmen as fishing trawler is now playable by ironmen.
- If a CGIM is on the boat they will not get any rewards at the end of the minigame if someone outside of their group helps with the activity, but the achievement is still earnable.
Lumbridge Castle flags are now animated consistently.
Model updated for the wooden beams on both ends of Lumbridge's northern bridge.
Several Surge, Escape and Dive trails were unintentionally updated and have now been reverted to the state they were in prior to the update on the 22nd June, 2026.

Todays update includes fixes for about 18 outstanding issues related to the Player Avatar. While work still continues, we've today addressed instances of missing skin, incorrect or washed out colours, Npcs missing their chatheads, stretching issues and clipping issues. The Max and Comp Capes should now also be a little less floaty and a bit more snug and attached.
We addressed issues with some animations, specifically making sure you no longer look quite so wonky or unhinged during Party Fever Walk, Shrug and Parasol Idle.
We also resolved issues with 16 animal masks that are obtainable from clue scrolls (so you should no longer randomly have a bald held when wearing them).
Finally, we are in the process of spinning up a new system to have unique female and male chathead animations. This will in turn allow us to improve the female chathead and push this much closer to the mesh seen on the body.
Just to recap our previous prioritization of work:
1. Focus on fixing Critical Bugs and known issues.
2. Finish off the outstanding work to bring all items in line with the new Avatar. That includes ensuring none of the old Avatar skin is present on worn items.
3. Consider which modifications to Avatar faces or body proportions are necessary and possible based on evolving community feedback.

Player Avatar Refresh

Restored the missing ankles to the Storyteller legs.
Fixed an issue that caused the shoulderpads of the Malevolent Cuirass (Third Age) to have a pinkish hue.
Adjusted the shoulders during the 'Shrug' emote to reduce stretching.
Adjusted the facial expressions while any parasol is worn.
Resolved an issue that caused some NPC chatheads to appear incorrectly.
Adjusted the facial expressions when using the Party Fever walk override.
Fixed an issue with the Ghostly hood not showing the new avatar head.
Adjusted the material for the female avatar 'Layered' hairstyle to be more inline with other styles
Resolved clipping issues for the Comb-over hairstyle.
Adjusted the wrist position on the Spirit Hunter walk override to work better with the new male avatar.
The Demonic Claw hairstyle now applies the correct eyecolour.
Fixed various clipping issues on the Acrobat hood for both avatars.
Resolved an issue with the back of the head for animal and dragon masks from treasure trails.
- These have been restored to the way they appeared prior to the avatar rework, where the back of the head is covered by fabric matching the mask colour
Fixed an issue with certain items having pink colouration that should be white

Digsite

Typo resolved in Ancient tablet IV for the 'Shadows of the Colossi' mystery.
Fixed an issue where the Ring of Kayazu was being triggered each time you'd interact with a soul storm disturbance, rather than only on completion of the soul storm.
Fixed issue where Mystery - Moonrise achievement was not appearing under master quest cape requirements.
Ring of Kayazu can now be stored in Group Ironman storage.

General

The Saradomin Sword should now correctly use a crushing style.
The 'Say It, Don't Spray It' achievement now requires 'Hermit Permits' to be completed.
Metals: A musing' book can no longer be obtained on free-to-play worlds.
Implings should no longer be able to take any damage, as was the case with Sheer Cold effect.
Fixed a typo in the modern game interface layout description.
Fixed a script crash and error which prevented restoration of multiple artefacts at a time.
Updated headwear addons description to remove incorrect references to free loot.
God Wars amulets can now be noted when using magic note paper on them.
Drakes are no longer attackable while they're in the process of turning into Mega Duck.
- Duck food can now be used to spawn Mega Duck.
- The sack of duck food now has right-click options to take multiple duck food.

Last week we released the long awaited Player Avatar update. On Wednesday we shared an update about where we're at and what we're focusing on. Today's patch update already includes a number of fixes and updates for the Avatar, but to keep you in the loop with our current focus for the project, here are our current priorities for the Player Avatar:

A Farewell to Mod Stu

We very recently bid a fond farewell to Mod Stu - As such and iconic and long-standing member of the team, we felt it was only right to dedicate some space in todays blog to sharing Mod Stu's goodbye message:

Greetings, fellow players. After nearly 20 years developing content at Jagex and 14 contributing to RuneScape, the time has finally come to leave a team and community I cherish very much and move onto the next chapter in my life.

A highlight has been our shift to open communication, engaging directly with you about our updates. Your feedback shapes our designs, and your passion has deepened my understanding of RuneScape's devoted community and diverse needs. Your deep conversations, shared stories and even getting to meet some of you in person has made this 'job' a personal experience and labour of love.

So with a whole lot of love and a measure of wistfulness, I hand the torch to my fellow designers and the weird and wonderful people of Jagex, whose talent and hard work and ambition and playfulness will keep bringing you more of the RuneScape you love.

A note on Tuesday Maintenance

Since February both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape have been running an additional maintenance on Tuesdays as part of our ongoing work to improve the infrastructure and core experience of our games, these maintenance will continue but we are adding in an additional small step.

Alongside taking down the worlds for 20-30 mins for this maintenance we will be keeping a handful of worlds offline for an additional 30 mins.

This should have minimal impact on regular playing as you will still be able to access a plethora of worlds once the maintenance is complete but you may notice a few worlds missing from the world list.

Player Avatar Refresh

The sleeves for female avatar have been updated.
Legacy Kebbitskin outfit has been updated for the female avatar.
Female Builder's outfit has been updated.
Legacy Mage's outfit has been updated.
Short sleeves for the female avatar have been updated.
The Skirt has been updated for the female avatar.
Fixed an issue with Fern on Havenhythe where her thumbs were severely stretching.
Fixed an issue which resulted in the male and female avatar both showing "possessed" looking eyes whilst performing the fletching animation.
The issue causing the Gnome Child T-shirt to stretch the male character model has been fixed.
Fixed an issue where the 20 year veteran cape was floating above the player shoulders on female characters.
Resolved a gap on the Ogre wig while it was worn on a female avatar.
Fixed an issue with the Retro Stealthy Gear clothing on female characters where a seam was visible at the bottom of the torso.
Fixed the issue that caused visual artifacts to appear on the male version of the Deathwarden Robe Top.
Fixed a stretching issue on the Cap'n's Blackbeard legacy beard.
Adjusted the Wrathful Pauldron to fit better around the new avatar proportions.
Globetrotters jacket no longer causes stretching issues with the avatar's hands
Overseer Siv is no longer missing her head.
Fixed an issue with the following clothing items that caused the wrists to be stretched on male characters:
- Retro meshed crew neck
- Retro ranger gear
- Retro sleeveless cowl
Fixed an issue with the 'Captain Deathbeard (Phantom)' override on female characters which resulted in small seams being visible.
Fixed a stretching issue with the 'Retro pantobles' shoe option
Fixed an unnatural sink of the shoulders while using the 'Sad Walk' walk override.
Fixed the issue that caused the hands of male and female character models to appear broken when wearing Ariane Bracers and Shadow Ariane Bracers overrides.
Some NPCs had issues with their chathead animations since the avatar update. With this fix we have resolved.
- Bill the Blueprints Manager
- Geva the Wendlewick Lookout
Resolved various issues that affected a handful of NPCs.

Dungeoneering Remastered

Fires in Dungeoneering no longer have blocking on them.
Increased XP penalties for mismatched difficulties in Dungeoneering, to ensure they're still appropriate for the skill level, and time required, compared to matched difficulty dungeons.
Fixed an issue where you couldn't interrogate the merchant at the start of the Nadir saga.
Fixed an issue where floor progress would not reset after the full number of floors were complete, under specific conditions.

Secrets of Amberfell

Sorrel and Anya now offer a dialogue line directing the player to Inanna in the north of Amberfell if the player has completed the quest with a full inventory.
Total number of fairy rings to discover updated from 56 to 57.
Blocking has been added to the entrance of Moonrise temple.
During the combat sequence in Secrets of Amberfell, the player's actions are now cleared when entering a cutscenes, preventing any interruptions.
Missing chathead animations for Inanna have been added for when the player's inventory is full with a couple of minor text tweaks/typo fixes.
Empty vials can now be obtained from the cabinet in Esther's workshop.
Players are now correctly shunned by the Amberfell villagers and do not return to their default dialogue trees.
The door in Amberfell bank is now locked.
The quest reward, Inanna's gift, can now be added to the Keepsake Box.
Amberfell's Rowan has been renamed to 'Farmer Rowan' to make it clearer that he counts as a farmer for pickpocketing purposes.

General

Buttons in the Appearance tab of the Customisations interface should no longer disappear when selecting a hair colour, nor should they appear when selecting a colour, while previewing a locked hairstyle.
Fixed a client crash caused by holding removed items.
Fixed an issue that prevented the use of Dive and Bladed Dive abilities while transmogrified using the Occult Living Death ability override.
Fixed an issue with the 25th anniversary task list text.
Fixed an issue that caused multiple quest completion messages to trigger in the chat.
Changing the minimap shape no longer prevents players from using the 'M' hotkey.

Before we continue, let's clear up what is a "Player Avatar"? In short, the Player Avatar is you or, more accurately, your character in Gielinor. It's the character beneath the armour that you created when you first started your account.

Those foundational customization choices such as gender, hairstyle, top, legs, shoes, and facial hair, along with the colour options available for each, are what make up your Avatar. These core appearance options are the focus of today's update.

Handsome fellow, right? So, when we talk about the Player Avatar, we're talking about your character's baseline appearance, the foundation that everything else is built upon. Your adventures, achievements, and personal story all sit on top of this representation. But beneath it all is your new Avatar!

Over the years, RuneScape has featured a variety of player avatars, from 2D sprites to fully 3D characters. Each was a product of the technology and game engine available at the time. In 2021, we began work on the Player Avatar Refresh project, with the goal of taking the next step forward. After weeks of community consultation, livestreams, and collaboration with players to develop a remastered visual style that felt true to RuneScape, we encountered a significant obstacle: technical limitations.

The underlying systems simply weren't ready to support the changes we wanted to make. As a result, the project was put on the infamous shelf. While it may have seemed dormant from the outside, behind the scenes our technical teams continued laying the groundwork, building the tools and systems needed to make a future Avatar refresh possible.

Now, we're ready to get this modern, grounded avatar into your hands today!

Today's Release:

The Player Avatar is a gargantuan project that touches a wide variety of systems. It isn’t just your character, it also affects NPCs throughout the world as well as armour sets, outfits and cosmetics, the wardrobe system, chat systems, and much more. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find an area of the game that isn’t impacted in some way.

Today's update lay's the foundations with a new base avatar, updated hairstyles and facial hair options. When you login today you should slip into your new shape with minimal friction as most outfits and armour have been updated to work with the new avatar! If you do encounter anything unexpected, please check out the known issues section below.

New Base Avatar

The star of the show, the base avatar has been updated to a new modernized standard whilst maintaining elements of the RuneScape style. So, new torso, arms, hands, legs, feet and of course face!

With the face being updated we have also updated the chathead (which is actually a separate model) so your conversations will now be in higher definition!

Additionally, several pieces of the base outfit kit you choose from during character creation or at Thessalia's shop have been updated, while others have been tweaked to fit this new body - your preferred style should still be available to you!

Updated Hairstyles

With a fresh face we definitely needed some fresh cuts and so we have updated 46 Female hairstyles & 37 Male hairstyles to fit this new head, including tons of your favourite styles!

And that's not all the styles!

Legacy Hairstyles

You'll notice that some hairstyles are part of a new "Legacy hairstyles" category. Originally we had planned to remove some older and less used styles as part of this update, but after further investigation and insights from the beta we decided that keeping all available styles of hair is the better outcome. This did mean that we had to make a decision on which ones to focus on first.

The 31 Female & 26 Male "Legacy" hairstyles have been tweaked to fit the new player head, but they will get updated over time to the same standard as the updated hairstyles, so fret not - your favourite hairstyle is still available to you!

And that's not all for hair!

Beards

Can't forget the face warmer: 22 Beards will be available to choose from with 4 of them being Legacy Beards. These Legacy beards will be updated in the future in the same way as the previously mentioned hairstyles.

List of Known Issues

Our diligent artists and developers have been hard at work setting every hair in place and cleaning up clipping issues for weeks now but there are bound to be some issues with an update that covers such a wide swath of the game as this.

To that end we have compiled a general list below of several issues we are already in the process of resolving during the weeks following this launch.

While we have endeavoured to update every single piece of clothing in the game, as we mentioned in our initial introduction to the Player Avatar Refresh, ungrafting the skin from every item has been a complicated and lengthy process and there are still a small handful of remaining items that require updating.

Our approach has been to prioritize the most commonly worn and used items first, so the outstanding items are generally only worn by a handful of players each. These outstanding items constitute a very small percentage of worn outfits from the past month. While you may encounter such an item and it may not feel like it's working as intended with the new avatar, please rest assured that they will be iteratively updated over the next few weeks.

Beyond those items, there are a few outstanding bits noted below that you may encounter today, but we are already aware of them and are looking to address them as soon as possible:

Some heads, torsos, legs, hands and feet items will still be displaying the old avatar skin and may look out of place (explained above).
Certain items may encounter clipping issues, especially with Tiaras or ‘legacy’ customisations (old style customisation but new avatar).
- Clipping is a visual bug that occurs when two textures pass through each other in a way that is not realistically possible. An example of clipping would be a hair texture poking through the solid top of a hat.
The flip-side of clipping is when you can see gaps between joins so that items feel unconnected or floaty. You may encounter this on a certain number of items.
Heads in interfaces and speech may have bugs (chat heads).
Some clothes or limbs may appear stretched or at awkward angles.
Some NPCs may be missing parts of their heads.
The photobooth, which is used to reflect your in-game avatar's face onto our website, has been temporarily disabled, while we proceed with work to integrate the new avatar code into the website.

We will be monitoring this update for any and all reports of issues but if you encounter any egregious issues that are not mentioned above, the most helpful way to support us is to use the in-game report bug functionality.

In-game reports take a snapshot of your account at the time of the report (both on a code but also on a visual level), giving our team tons of very useful information to help with assessing your report right away. This report feature should be your first port of call when you encounter an issue you want to report. It is also incredibly simple to do.

1. Open your options menu by pressing Esc. Then select the "Report Issue" button in the bottom left.

2. Choose "Report a Bug" in the menu that appears

3. Choose the category that best suits your report (Likely to be "Graphical" in this instance)

4. Write up your issue!

Done and dusted, this will send your report and associated information to our triaging team, which will massively assist them with zeroing in on your issue and getting it resolved sooner!

Should you not wish to use the in game functionality, you can also use the bug report form on the official RuneScape Discord #bug-report-form. This won't be as in depth as the in game version but will still be of assistance to us. Alternatively, you can also use this form to report Avatar related bugs.

What's next?

This year is flying in, we are already into June and making great progress on the Road to Restoration with even more great updates to come. The Player Avatar Refresh has been a long-running project and today it delivers a bright new face as we look forward to seeing all of your in game in your brand new look!

Last week we launched a significant update to our engine in preparation to support the upcoming Player Avatar launch on June 8th, as part of this update our team has been monitoring reports of graphical issues and we have seen three particular areas of issues crop up.

AMD Graphic Cards on the latest set of drivers have been having rendering issues causing things like missing textures/blank areas. This issue arose in the last few weeks with the launch of the latest AMD drivers and our update last Monday has just brought this into frame for more players.
- This issue is currently resolved by rolling back your graphic drivers to a more stable previous patch.
- We are currently investigating this from our side to reduce future complications but whenever there is a new set of graphic drivers there is always the potential for a mismatch.
We have also recieved reports from MAC OS users of similar missing texture and graphical issues occurring. Our team has been diving into these reports all week and the common element is the use of Intel integrated GPU and the team is working on a fix
Other users have reported stuttering or framerates hitching especially when transitioning to regions such as going from the overworld to a cave system and this is further noticeable for users who hide the loading screens. We currently investigating a solution to this issue but there is not a current ETA on a release.

We will continue to monitor this update but if you have been running into any graphical issues please contiunue to report them via the in game report feature as this helps us gather up your computer specs which help immensely with these investigations.
