So here it is, Early Access version of Good Mourning. What a ride it has been so far! We’re extremely proud of the game, and we hope that you enjoy it too. Bear in mind, though, that this isn’t a completed game. Technically everything is nice and dandy, but content-wise the work is just starting. We’re going to release a monthly content update to the game. During the following year we aim to double the content of the game.

Known issues
- On extremely rare occasions the game might freeze during startup. The current fix is to exit the game via pause menu (esc) and restarting. Replicating this issue is extremely difficult, and we are trying to find a solution for it.
- Typos. There’s so much text, that typos exist. We’re running a tight ship, and although we’ve proofread the text, there’s bound to be typos along the way. To remedy this, we appreciate if you could mention the typos you’ve found in the Steam forum, so we can fix them in the future versions.
- Performance. Although the game is optimized, it relies heavily on post-processing effects. We’re continuing optimization for future updates.

Good Mourning is a narrative experiment, where the content is chosen at random for each playthrough, and the gameplay builds upon itself. Good Mourning is the world’s first run-based walking simulator.
Released on Steam’s Early Access October 23rd, Good Mourning introduces a game, where the story is randomly created by combining contents of dozens of levels for a single playthrough. During the EA phase this content is expanded to produce a game where every playthrough is different from one another.
The story elements of Good Mourning revolve around everyday life, where choices and consequences play an important role. The content is presented through a filter of fantasy, which is further emphasized by the minimalistic and surreal audiovisuals. The narrative introduces the ups and downs of ordinary life, but it doesn’t shy away from serious and uncomfortable themes.
Following in the footsteps of award-winning Lydia, Good Mourning is a fast-paced narrative experience, which can be played over and over again, with different results.
