Greetings Pilots,
We will be updating Phantom Galaxies to version 5.8.0 on Tuesday 13th of May at 2:00 - 4:00pm (AEST). This is simply a bug fix build that will also enable a change to server infrastructure.
The update should take approximately 30 mins, during which time the game will be unavailable to play.

General Gameplay:
New Patrol: We’ve added a new patrol to the roster; Crystal Caverns (affectionately dubbed internally as ‘Meatballs’). Take to the skies Ranger!
New Patrol Modifier - Shield Overload! A new modifier called ‘Shield Overload’ has been added which can be dynamically enabled on any patrol. This modifier will amp your shield’s durability but prevents it from recharging. Be sure to check all active Patrol modifiers and gear up accordingly before heading out. Can you survive the Xanorra without relying on regen?
Player Experience and Balancing:
Increased Patrol rewards: we’ve significantly bumped up the amount of XP awarded from patrols. Grind those levels up faster and why not pop a consumable while you’re at it.
Fixes & Improvements
Fixed login issues. Long story short there was a certificate update in one of the external server vendors used which caused the failure to occur. Running the commands provided in the support channel forced your computer to get the latest certificate, solving the issue. This is all fixed now to occur when running the game.
No more party sparklers! Fixed an issue where ship damage particle effects from Zappy Boi (the laser frigate in patrols) would persist.
Audio updates to Halberd-001. Added some life and ambience into the station.
Fixed an issue with all patrol modifiers that would not remain on respawn.
Improved performance of loot drops.
Known Issues
Talking to Arman to select his wingman mission is not a good idea and will cause…unintended consequences. If you want Arman, stand as far back behind him as you can while still being able to interact with him and you shouldn’t encounter any issues (but we all know Charleanne is the best anyway).
There is nothing like that new home feeling! That first click of the key in the door, the first time you enter and take in all that surrounds you, the first flush of the john! Well here it is - Your new home IN SPACE - Halberd 2.0! Take your time, walk around, soak it up! General

Well here it is - Your new home IN SPACE - Halberd 2.0!
Take your time, walk around, soak it up!
General Gameplay:
Updated Enemy AI - Xanorra Shredder: The Xanorra Shredder has undergone a facelift as well as some behaviour changes to make them more dangerous and in your face! Beware the Shredder, because if you aren’t careful they’ll shred your starfighter to pieces!
Player Experience and Balancing:
Halberd renovations are completed! Explore the brand new Command Center, Hangar and Pilot lounge in a refreshed and modern Halberd space station. We’ve also visually updated the terminals making each one easily identifiable.
Level cap updates - Avatar and Mech levels have been increased to level 25. Which also means the maximum power level of gear and weaponry has been updated to 125. Purchase and use XP Boost consumables to level up and get more power quicker!
Did someone say Melee? The brand new strike assist mechanic is here to make those melee encounters more dynamic, exciting and effective. Enjoy the thrill of blasting into hand-to-hand combat from greater distances with a speed boost and increased damage. Also, we are pleased to a
Did someone say Melee? The brand new strike assist mechanic is here to make those melee encounters more dynamic, exciting and effective.
Enjoy the thrill of blasting into hand-to-hand combat from greater distances with a speed boost and increased damage.
Also, we are pleased to announce the availability of consumables. A range of superpowers that you can purchase and activate for those times you need a little bit more domination. You can now find these in the trading terminals.
You can choose between Avatar XP Boost, Mech XP Boost, Health Recovery and Shield Regen abilities.
General Gameplay:
Trading terminals have new stock!
XP bars: XP bars will display on the combat HUD when the player completes a mission, bounty or patrol to give an indication of how much progress they have made.
Player Experience and Balancing:
Overall the HEAT system has been reworked to make HEAT balancing more of a skill for players to hone while making HEAT costs fairer. HEAT costs have been balanced per starfighter class.
Boosting heat cost has been increased slightly
The cooldown wait time before heat dissipates from the heat bar has been increased from 1 second to 3 seconds
Heat dissipation speed has been increased based on the players Power attribute
Heat cost on all dodge abilities has been reduced
The tick rate for HEAT in the danger zone has been reduced
Hold time to activate the Ultimate ability has been reduced
Hold time to activate the Empowered Melee strike has been reduced
Player run speed and boost speed has been increased in ground missions
Ability cooldown rates have been recalculated based on the new base attributes for all mech classes
Perks have been rebalanced to avoid dramatic value increases and make gear choices feel more important
Assault
Heat costs on all abilities have been reduced
The base attributes for the assault have been rebalanced
The duration on the Assault ultimate ability has been increased from 5 seconds to 15 seconds
The damage, duration and tick rate of the Assault corrosion missile has been increased
Buster
Heat costs on all abilities have been reduced
The base attributes for the assault have been rebalanced
Buster missiles have had another polish pass to improve their targeting angles and range
Breacher
Heat costs on all abilities have been reduced
The base attributes for the assault have been rebalanced
The duration of the Breachers Ultimate shield has been reduced, but the amount of damage it deals on expiry has increased.
The breacher missile has undergone an update, which has
Increased its attraction range
Added lazy homing to the missile
Allowed for damage on a direct hit of the missile
Lancer
Heat costs on all abilities have been reduced
The base attributes for the assault have been rebalanced
Fixes & Improvements:
Overall polish across the UI/UX of the game
Fixed an issue where the mech would “fidget” while aiming during a ground mission, leading to constant SFX being spammed as the mech attempted to settle.
Fixed an issue where players were prevented from logging in to the game if they had too many items in their inventory
Fixed an issue with NPC Drones becoming stuck on level assets
Known Issues:
With the addition of separate Avatar/Mecha XP value displays, there is a specific combination that will show you as getting +0xp for your Mecha. This is just an issue with the HUD display and you are still getting the correct XP values.
Gear up for more! More weapons! More foes! More... surprises! We are expanding your arsenal with new weapons such as the BR5-V “Viperlance” and the K-OH4 “Knight’s Roar”! Think you have got those enemies worked out in Partols? Think again - Xanorra Bracer and Xanorra Slicer varia
Gear up for more! More weapons! More foes! More... surprises!
We are expanding your arsenal with new weapons such as the BR5-V “Viperlance” and the K-OH4 “Knight’s Roar”! Think you have got those enemies worked out in Partols? Think again - Xanorra Bracer and Xanorra Slicer variants are incoming! Each with their own strategic advantages.
General Gameplay and Balancing:
Gear Collection: Rangers IV introduces many new pieces of Gear to collect.
Combat Balance Tweaks: Faster melee attacks, missile number changes (buffs to most, nerf to breacher), and decreased Lancer tech ability heat cost.
New Deadly Enemies: The Bracer shields other pirates with an Overshield for more defensive power. Take them out first to destroy the overshield. The improved, deadlier Slicer is a long-range sniper with deadly precision. Watch out for its targeting lasers and get out of the way to avoid a devastating blast.
Player Experience:
Gear Boxes: Addition of Gear Boxes for our top rarity loot drops. Take them to the new Gear Box Opener terminal in Halberd-001 to unlock and reveal their contents.
XP Bars: XP bars will now show real-time progression when earning XP due to completion of a mission, patrol, or bounty.
Fixes & Improvements:
Increased boost movement speed.
General performance, UI, and visual improvements.
Explosive bullets and drone kills now increment correctly for bounty progress.
Fixed patrol timers not stopping correctly, which caused premature Mission Failure on certain objectives.
Revival timer (disabled time) will now stop when a revival is in progress.
Daily Rewards now have a ‘Collect and Close’ button that will automatically collect the daily prize and close the window.
Fixed the collision boxes of satellites in patrol levels.
Updated world enemies and spawns in public space.
Madman enemy is now better at chasing you through the asteroids or will self-destruct if unable to reach you.
Patrols:
New Patrol: ‘Violet Storm’. Enjoy a new way to kill pirates and earn rewards. Watch out for level hazards such as proximity minefields or the deadly laser frigate.
Patrol Rotation: Red Ruin and Scout’s Honour patrols will also be in rotation with a new patrol each day.
Patrol Modifiers: Longer cooldowns, increased enemy shields, and limited respawns added to patrols to add new challenges for the Rangers to overcome.

This is a big one Pilots! We are excited to present to you the Nova Update! Expect an amazing new assortment of weapons to add to your Mechas arsenal, a brand new Patrols map with massive improvements to increase replayability, and many quality of life improvements.
General Gameplay & Balancing:
Gear Collection: Rangers III introduces many new pieces of Gear to collect - including the first Superior and Elite rarity weapons.
Max Pilot Level has been increased from 15 to 20, meaning the max Power Level has risen from 75 to 100.
General weapon balancing tweaks.
Sniper weapons are back, rebalanced and available to all mecha classes.
Tutorial revisions have been made for the latest gameplay changes. Note that some new lines have not yet had VO recorded, and will have no audio currently.
Player Experience:
New player stat bars have been added to the Mecha tab: Pilot XP Levels, Mecha XP Levels, and Power Level.
New Daily Login prizes. Log in each day to claim your prize.
‘Enter World’ has been changed to ‘Play’ on the main menu.
Fixes & Improvements
New weapon SFX, VFX and icons for all weapon types.
Updated combat UI: new Health, Shield and HEAT bars, as well as abilities and active perk display.
Updates to dodge - increasing speed and distance, as well as adding forward and backwards dodge.
Dodging backwards in starship form will transform to mecha, while forward dodge in mecha form will transform to starship.
Dodge has now moved from ALT to SPACE. This can be remapped if you prefer the previous way. As before, double-tapping W/A/S/D still works also.
Reticule display has been improved.
The ‘Bounty Terminal’ has been renamed to ‘Ranger Terminal’.
Additional fixes to controls, settings, and sensitivity.
Multiple mission fixes - including resolving the mission loop in ‘Search and Destroy’.
Fixed respawns and ‘Game Over’ screens not operating correctly.
Fixes to issues with Bounty tracking and XP gains.
Improvements to chat display, and additional information on how to use the chat.
Various QoL and performance improvements.
Patrols
New dynamic Patrol type. This addition brings one expansive new level, filled with many randomised objectives to provide more replayability.
Solo patrols! Unable to find a fellow Ranger? If matchmaking is unable to find additional players after a short duration, you will be able to enter the Patrol by yourself. Come prepared, as without fellow Rangers to help you, it can get tough.
You can now abandon a Patrol in progress through the Warp Gate. Approach the Warp Gate and follow the prompt to abandon your Patrol. This won’t affect other players in the Patrol - apart from being a Ranger down, so watch the salt back in Halberd-001.
Moved the Patrol terminal to the left of the Launch Center. (still found in Halberd-001)
Two new Xannora enemies, the Madman and the Hellfire. All current Patrol enemy types have also been renamed.
Enemy Power Level now increases as the Patrol goes on, meaning stronger enemies at later stages.
New Bonus Rewards will be given based on team points achieved.
A Revival system has been implemented, allowing you to assist your downed teammates. Teammates unable to reach you? Self-destruct to go out in a final blaze of glory - and then respawn to do it again.
Audio improvements.
Known Issues:
Left-ALT is now used to Move Up instead of Space Bar. When using the Hacking Drone, however, this is not yet updated - so this manoeuvre is still mapped to the Space Bar.
The Patrol objective ‘Defend the Base’ may occur and cause an unexpected Mission Fail even if you have time left on the clock. To avoid any premature failures, once you complete this objective, head to the Warp Gate to complete the Patrol. You should do so even if you have optional objectives remaining, or risk a failure once the objective timer (not the Patrol timer) reaches 0:00.
Some radar and satellite arrays have incorrect collision boundaries. As such, there are some confined areas in the new Patrol level where you will encounter unintended invisible walls. It is intended that you move slowly around these areas, but if you find yourself bouncing around a lot, chances are there is a satellite on the asteroid.
In fixing an issue with ‘Game Over’ screens not operating correctly, it was fixed only for ‘You Died’ game over screens, and not special mission specific game over screens such as ‘You Were spotted’ etc. As such the button will likely still not work in these situations.
With the Daily Login prize, rewards are displayed for the Avatar that claimed it. If you then login with another Avatar, the login prize will appear as missed as the Avatar you are currently playing did not claim that prize. This is visual only as the rewards are account based.

Pilots, this is a large update!
We have introduced key new features such as in-game text chat and keyboard/controller remapping. We have also included a major balance update for range and damage drop-off. But believe me, this is just a taste of what this update holds. Be sure to check out all the new additions and fixes below!
General Gameplay & Balancing:
Starfighter transform speeds have been greatly increased.
New reticles for each weapon type to help the pilot know which gun is equipped in a firefight.
Reticle bloom has been added to indicate spread change when firing rapidly.
ADS settings have been improved and have been rebalanced, making it faster to aim down.
Sniper zoom has been removed.
Aiming down sights while in starship form will now automatically transform to mecha form - please note that this means you can no longer ADS while in starship form.
Recoil has been added to weapons to give them more kick.
Better hitmarkers and damage numbers to give more reliable information around how much damage you are doing and when.
Range has been increased slightly and damage dropoff has been significantly reduced.
Boosting in mecha form no longer transforms the Starfighter into ship form, allowing mecha form to boost.
Mecha form can now use the Tech Ability in space.
Player Experience:
In-game text chat system has been integrated! There is a global channel and location channels such as PvP and Patrols. Press enter to open up the chat to let your fellow Rangers know what you're up to. Holding enter will hide/unhide chat display and left and right arrow keys will navigate available channels.
Keyboard and controller remapping.
Gear rewards are now available in the Standard and Advantage Tracks.
Introducing Gear Collection: Rangers II - four (4) new weapons and two (2) pieces of Gear.
Fixes & Improvements
Bounty progress is now saved correctly for PvE and PvP Bounties.
New shield VFX that helps locate where you are being shot from.
Kill attribution has been added, meaning that players that contributed damage to the target receive XP and Bounty progress.
Avatar Level cap has been increased to 15.
Mecha scale has been increased so you feel the might of your powerful machine.
Perk descriptions updated to include % values.
The black screen bug has been addressed, although this has caused a new issue where the game may respawn you where you entered the Warp Gate. Just go through the Warp Gate again.
Fixed issue where Trading Terminal UI would stretch because of items with multiple attributes.
Patrols
We have added four (4) new Patrols into the game! Each day a new Patrol will become available to play, replacing the old one.
A scoring system has been added. You gain points for kills and completing objectives, while losing some for dying. For now it is for bragging rights… for now…
Respawn screen added after the player dies.
Known Issues:
Mission progress - We have addressed some issues, but there are still some to address.
Diplomatic Deception - Players may become stuck when attempting to return to Spear-002 after leaving the area to return to Halberd-001. To work around this, players must quit to the main menu and then reconnect. The mission will resume once you leave Halberd-001.
Search and Destroy - After completing this mission, players may be stuck in a loop trying to complete the mission or return to Halberd-001. We currently recommend avoiding this mission.
Artifact Gambit - Sometimes the mission may not activate correctly and the ship won’t become shielded, which halts progress. We recommend avoiding this mission also.
Transforming with guns - Some guns don’t look quite right when transforming between mecha and starship mode. This is a visual issue that does not affect performance.
Player input - Some controls aren’t working as intended due to player input devices. For example, screen resolution can impact the speed with which a Starfighter turns.
I told you this update was a big one! While we are aware we still have loads to add and fix, we are very excited to share the significant steps taken in this update. We hope you enjoy the new Patrols and all the features we have added alongside them.
As always, we encourage you all to give us as much feedback as possible to ensure that we continue down the best possible path and address everything that we can improve. If you have any feedback join us on our Discord, or if you are having any technical issues please contact us on our Player Support Desk.

Pilots, this update is a big one with some major improvements in tow. Highlights include the introduction of Patrols, our new co-operative multiplayer experience! Accompanying this will be some exciting new changes to the Ranger Track rewards, our first set of new Gear, and a wealth of other bug fixes and quality of life improvements. This update is one worth waiting for - let’s dive into the details!
Patrols V1
We are excited to release the first version of Patrols. This will be the foundation for an exhilarating new game mode that we are actively building and developing.
The first iteration will reward Credits, XP and Activity Points for completion.
Patrols can be run with a team of 2 to 4 players.
More details can be found in our supporting Medium articles!
Gear Collection: Ranger I
The first expansion of Gear is here! Introducing the first set of manufacturer Gear, Ranger I; weapons made by Rangers, for Rangers.
6 items are being showcased in this first collection, with many more releasing over time. The Burst Rifle - PB4-C "Checkmate", Scout Rifle - P-H9 "Hangman", Shield Generator - S-241BN "Bastion" and Thruster - CHF/ Y 3 "Champion Ferry" have been added to the game. The Shotgun - HR-X “Hit ’n Run” and Chaingun - CHO-RF “Signalman” have been redesigned.
This also includes a huge refactor and rebalance to **all** weapons; including existing ones. Numbers are still being tweaked and initial values have been geared towards making closer combat encounters for Patrols, so you will find that shooting at a distance deals less damage.
Weapons are now grouped into types, with each type having multiple subtypes. Experiment with your arsenal to find your perfect loadout.
Types = Assault Rifles, Burst Rifles, Chainguns, Scout Rifles, Shotguns and more.
Perks are also updated, all weapons now featuring individualized perk pools allowing you to further customize your mayhem.
Fixes & Improvements
New VO lines in the opening sequence and Captain Olson’s Tutorial dialogue.
General Gameplay & Balancing:
HEAT generation has gone through a rebalance. Boosting now generates HEAT at a slower rate. However firing weapons now generates small amounts of HEAT, giving you greater control in getting in, and staying in, the optimal zone.
Increased level caps. Pilot Level has been increased from 10 to 11. This in turn increases your maximum Power Level from 50 to 55. Mecha Level has increased from 10 to 20 in preparation for future functionality.
With the above level increases, loot levels have also been increased, making sure you are always getting Gear matching your level.
Player Experience:
Various bug and QoL fixes including new audio, inventory management, and updated UI.
Improved sensitivity settings. Lower minimums and more granular control of each setting allows you to get the feeling just right. We are still working on this, so if you still find yourself struggling, let us know where you are having difficulties.
Known Issues:
A bug preventing PvP Bounty kills from saving is still in the game. To work around this: if you die in the PvP map, DO NOT exit the game via the “Game Over” menu; instead, respawn and exit via the Hyper Bridge. Only by exiting via the Hyper Bridge will your Bounty progress be saved!
There is an elusive crash that occurs when transitioning between areas. It seems to be isolated to our testing builds, but if you come across it, please let us know.
Some of the new perks don’t function as intended and will be tweaked in a future update.
There is a UI issue in which your charge appears full in PvP and Patrols, but actually isn’t. If your Ultimate isn’t firing, it likely is still charging.
During a Patrol, if there is only one player left, the patrol should automatically end and return you to the Halberd-001 as there are not enough players to continue. Sometimes however this may fail and you will be stuck until you quit and restart the game manually.
We are excited to introduce Version 1 of Patrols. We have grand plans for this game mode, and these are the early foundations on which we are building a broad and deep range of new content. Patrols are a fundamental part of the Phantom Galaxies experience and we will continue to develop this game mode actively throughout the following months. If you have feedback you would like to share with the team, please submit it via our feedback form or contact our community team on Discord.

Greetings, Rangers! In this update, Bounties are our primary focus. We have included Starling rewards for completing Bounties, new objectives and conditions, as well as a level requirement to participate in them. We have also squashed some pesky bugs and improved upon the localisation. Check out the details in full below!
Bounties
Bounties have received a significant update: introducing new types, conditions and rewards.
We have included 2 new Bounty Types! These are Mining (search and gather for the specified ore) and Completion (complete other bounties, to complete this bounty)
2 new Bounty Conditions have also been added: “As Form” (getting any kills while in the specified form i.e. Starfighter or Mecha) and “Of Form” (getting PVP kills of players in the specified form i.e. Starfighter or Mecha)
Note the form counts as the one that dealt the damage. If you fire a missile and then change form, the kill comes from the form the missile was fired from.
Starlings are now available as Bounty rewards!
Level Requirements have been introduced to balance the new rewards. Higher risk, means higher reward. All Bounties now have a level requirement that your PILOT level must be at in order to accept a Bounty.
Fixes & Improvements
Minor localisation fixes for Simplified Chinese.
Updates have been made to in-game audio. Fixed issues with some sounds not being spatial, meaning they would be heard globally for all players in a map. We also have some improved sound effects for the
Mining Laser and a less invasive Incoming Missile Alert.
Fixed the missing Game Over screen on death.
Fixed the display and desync of enemy player health in PVP.
Fixed the Hacking minigame bug where you would not be returned to your starfighter on successfully completing the minigame.
General Gameplay & Balancing:
Ammo is now a thing of the past. Your gun will still have a magazine that needs to reload, but you will never run out of bullets. There will also be no more ammo drops cluttering your screen.
Rebalancing of Spawn timers. Enemies now respawn in 30 seconds up from 10.
Known Issues:
Unfortunately, with the reintroduction of the “Game Over” screen, the ‘PVP kills aren’t saving’ bug has returned! To work around this: if you die in the PVP map, DO NOT exit the game via the “Game Over” menu; instead, respawn and exit via the HyperBridge. Only by exiting via the HyperBridge will your bounty progress be saved!

General Gameplay & Balancing:

Rebalancing of Starfighter Attributes
Attributes have gone through some extensive changes for Patch 5.
Durability attributes have been modified to match the starfighter attribute rebalancing (see below). Otherwise they remain similar to their original values.
Shield attributes have been updated quite extensively. Previously a relatively small amount spent into the Shield attribute gained players an incorrect amount of benefit.
The correct ranges and thresholds means that players will experience lower amounts shield health, extended shield regen delay and but also reduced the amount of time the shields will spend regenerating.
Maneuverability attribute effectiveness has been flattened out across the board. This is to stop players from reach game breaking speeds and to equalize player movement. Along with these changes to maneuverability, mecha form speed has also been raised and adjusted to fix any discrepancies of mecha form speed between different starfighter classes.
Power attribute curves have received quite extensive reworking to repair discrepancies in super ability cooldown times between different starfighters. Super ability cooldowns and heat dissipation now scale evenly across 100 points in Power.
Ordinance attribute balance has received a significant reworking to repair discrepancies in missile cooldown times between different starfighters. Missile cooldowns now scale evenly across 100 points in Ordinance.
Force attribute curves have received extensive reworking. Tech cooldowns and Empowered Melee cooldowns now scale evenly across 100 points in Force.
Assault Attribute Name & Value Durability 10 Shield 10 Maneuverability 10 Power 10 Force 10 Ordinance 10
Breacher Attribute Name & Value Durability 5 Shield 10 Maneuverability 10 Power 15 Force 15 Ordinance 5
Buster Attribute Name & Value Durability 20 Shield 20 Maneuverability 5 Power 5 Force 5 Ordinance 5
Lancer Attribute Name & Value Durability 0 Shield 0 Maneuverability 15 Power 15 Force 15 Ordinance 15
Known Issues:
Rolling with advanced roll can autocorrect Starfighter to horizon, this is not intended
During the hacking sequences if the player keeps pressing the key to rotate a piece after the puzzle has been completed, the hacking screen will not close
Game Over screens aren’t working. After dying, the player will automatically respawn in the area. Which means for PVP there is no option to return to the menu or respawn at the Halberd-001 (you will need to leave the area manually).
Unintentional AI behaviour during “Diplomatic Mission” where friendly AI will attack the player after all enemies are defeated
The screen that displays unclaimed rewards from the previous ranger season in the Bounty terminal cannot be dismissed if the player presses the [ESC] key.
In PVP there may be a desync between an enemy player’s Health display and their actual health. Keep shooting, they are dying.
We hope that you enjoy all the new improvements this updates brings to Phantom Galaxies! Please keep letting us know your feedback as this helps to shape the development process. We expect that our next major update will include Patrols, a significant content update. Stay tuned for more information as it gets closer!

Here at Blowfish Studios, we have been working hard to fit in one more patch before the end of the year! We have focused on quality of life improvements to make the core gameplay more riveting and seamless in this patch. We appreciate all the feedback we have been receiving so far and we will continue to implement changes based on community input.

Player Experience:
HUD indicators for loot drops have been improved upon. Indicators now display the class of equipment, as well as rarity in a less invasive manner.
Patch notes have been added within the game, so they don’t just exist on our social channels and Steam page. You will be able to find the patch notes in the bottom right of the main menu.
Known Issues:
HUD no longer displays the item name for loot drops, but shows a generic placeholder. This will be addressed in an upcoming update.
Controller support for character customisation will be addressed in a future update.
When releasing the hacking drone there is a chance it becomes stuck on an object. To prevent this from occurring, release the drone in a wide open location. If this issue occurs you will have to quit to the main menu and try again.
On launch you may experience window resizing issues. This issue can be resolved by readjusting the resolution options.
Thank you all for joining us on this journey this year. Our first update next year is going to be a big one that is planned to include Localisation and Patrols! Due to our team taking a well-deserved holiday break, we will need a bit more time to roll it out.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on feedback over the holiday period, so make sure to keep letting us know what you think about the new patch!

Thank you all for supporting our Early Access launch! We’ve been monitoring your feedback and reports closely since the release, and the work on Phantom Galaxies has not stopped since we blasted into Early Access.
You’ll be pleased to hear that we have just released our first patch! We appreciate the support and feedback. Here’s what we’ve included in the patch:
Fixes & Improvements
We’ve introduced multiple server improvements and stability fixes. At the time of our launch, we experienced some strain on our servers due to the increased load of players. These have now largely been resolved.
Some players noted having interaction issues with Starmap, which we have been able to resolve. Missing locations are still being worked on and will be resolved in a future update.
We’ve resolved an issue with the Buster, where on ground missions, the firing of certain guns did not have enough range and effectively only could damage things at point blank range. Firing is now working as intended!
Olson now shows up as an enemy during the tutorial, making targeting a lot easier.
We’ve fixed an issue with dialogue in the mission 'The Parking Lot'.
We’ve remedied the issue where the melee ability icon would show being charged up, while the ability was still in cooldown and could not be used.
We have adjusted default graphics settings.
An End message at the completion of the current available missions has been added.
New Additions
We have adjusted the mining tool so that it cannot be unequipped and you can only get it once.
New Lancer animations have been added!
We’ve also applied other smaller polish and changes across the game.
We have additional patches and quality of life improvements planned for the very near future, alongside larger releases. These will include but are not limited to;
Further server stabilisation
XP balancing
Language support for additional languages
Controller support
Improved Avatar customisation
Improvements to the HUD
