We've patched the game to ver. 1.9.8. Here are the latest additions and fixes:
- Added an updated pause menu back into the game. Quitting is allowed during gameplay in Friend Play, but not World Play. This is to reduce player rage quitting during public matches.
- Stale session fix for World Play. The fix gives a better chance to join matches, because it joins best ping sessions first. This greatly reduces getting kicked back to the main menu for "network errors" or "unknown reason".
- Fixed broken boss pathing in all base game & DLC maps. This includes characters with an ultimate ability that uses pathing (example - Silent Hill's Robbie the Rabbit).
- Blood moon sky has been added to the Coma 2: Vicious Sisters DLC. Whenever Boss Time triggers, the sky will change to a blood moon as the Butcher begins his hunt.
- Buffed the Butcher in The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters DLC. He is now more aggressive and does more damage.

Minor adjustments to the Poppy Playtime DLC were made:
- Cat Bee units nerfed in Trap Time. Reduced to 3 hits required to destroy them (heavy attack = 2 hits, light attack = 1 hit).
- Cat Bee poison status effect duration reduced to 3 seconds. Poison timer does not reset if the player continues standing in the poison gas.
- Huggy Wuggy's speed buffed in Boss Time. Movement speed increased by 30%.

For those who were sent the password to the dedicated server beta, it is now up. It requires there be 6 players to a server, so if there aren't enough people on at a time, uhhh, I won't snitch if you share the password lol. As of now, there are only 10 servers available (all of w
For those who were sent the password to the dedicated server beta, it is now up. It requires there be 6 players to a server, so if there aren't enough people on at a time, uhhh, I won't snitch if you share the password lol.
As of now, there are only 10 servers available (all of which on the World Play, private matches aren't on the dedicated servers yet), but 10 * 6 = 60 so that shouldn't be a problem I'd imagine. However, whenever you first start matchmaking, you may get an error that says something like "FleetExceededCapacity in CreateGameSession," if you get that error message, feel free to ignore it. If you get some other kind of error message, lmk on https://twitter.com/cromwellslimon, but that should be the only error message. The reason why that pops up is just because it's trying to start up a new instance of the dedicated server but it can take like 20 seconds, I have the matchmaking button set to retry on a loop every 10 seconds so if you click "World Play" and then just wait a bit, you'll join a match eventually, if not basically immediately.
Also, we haven't sorted out balancing yet so feel free to leave feedback to me and I'll relay that to Vince or something, I don't mess with balancing, I'm just the software engineer (ooo, fancy title)

It's highly unusual for a small indie team like Glowstick Entertainment to obtain an IP as big as Silent Hill. We are extremely proud to have worked on it and we owe the opportunity to the success of Dark Deception and the passion of the DD community! That said, this is a huge test for the Monsters & Mortals community. If the Silent Hill DLC sells well, DLC for other big AAA IP become a strong possibility. Great news - it's update time! There's a ton of new content in this update to share with you all! Here's a quick breakdown of what's new in the Elementary Evil Update: - The store is now active. Spend your shards & red shards in the store to unlock Extras items and new skins.
Great news - it's update time! There's a ton of new content in this update to share with you all! Here's a quick breakdown of what's new in the Elementary Evil Update:
- The store is now active. Spend your shards & red shards in the store to unlock Extras items and new skins.
- Elementary Evil map is now playable, featuring a new type of trap, a new boss, and new music!
- 21 new skins (total) for existing mortal & monster characters! Unlock them in the store!
- Soul Collection mode has been added! Compete against 4 mortals and collect shards to save your soul from Malak. Each shard wave, Malak will come for the mortal with the fewest shards. In the end, only one mortal gets to keep their soul. Will it be you? The others will be turned into mindless monsters!
- New additions to the Extras menu! Now you can see & track your stats as you play matches. Build your stats up to unlock higher stat tiers! There is also an art gallery where you can check out art purchased from the store!
- New leveling system! Those wins count for more than just red shards now. Accumulate wins in order to level up and gain new rewards!
- UI/UX improvements! A bit more uniformity in the menu system.
- Major & minor bug fixes.
