We have a massive new update for you!
The most highly anticipated, top-secret, frequently asked-for, totally unanticipated update to Beach Buggy Racing 2: Island Adventure is here! BBR2:IA version 2023.08.08 brings a ton of new content and important tuning updates to the core game as well as improvements to the Hot Wheels DLC and two brand new DLC packs (coming soon).
Island Adventure Upgrades
Top of the list of improvements to the Island Adventure base game is the addition of a new character, Commander Nova. Nova is a canine space explorer with a love of adventure and a passion for liver treats. Her Liftoff ability boosts her forward and above the field of competition, opening up new shortcuts on many of the tracks in the game.
In addition, we have two new city-themed racetracks: Octane City and Sun City Strip. Octane City is a towering car-themed metropolis filled with skyscrapers, with a beautiful autumnal park right in the center. Sun City Strip is a neon-lit beach town with wide boulevards perfect for cruising (and street races). Both city tracks feature our new traffic simulator, populating the roads with cars and taxis to avoid or smash.
We also have the addition of two new cars for your racing pleasure — the pumpkin chariot Screamin’ Jack and the sweet-n-speedy Candy Coupe.
Finally, we've added a number of a number of additional features and improvements, including car horns and an advanced Photo Mode for taking incredible screenshots. Just hit the Pause button, compose your perfect shot, and hide the UI for a share-ready masterpiece! (Requires gamepad controller.)
New DLC and Hot Wheels Boosted
Oh wait, did I say “finally”? There’s more! Steam users will also have the option of two new DLC: the Turbo Titans Car Pack and the High Octane Moto Pack, as well as free improvements to the Hot Wheels Booster Pack.
The Turbo Titans Car Pack injects a powerful shot of adrenaline with a diverse fleet of five incredible vehicles, including an electric supercar, a wasteland hot rod built from an airplane, and a fire truck themed monster truck. Each machine is crafted with a completely unique persona, designed to refresh your game with a variety of new racing experiences and tactics.
The High Octane Moto Pack lets you experience the roar of engines and the rush of wind against your face with high-speed motorcycle racing. Commandeer three unique bikes: a rugged dirt bike, a turbocharged street beast, and a fusion-powered superbike from the future.
But wait, there’s more! We’re adding brand new content to the Hot Wheels Booster Pack! We’ve got two new cars, the twin-tastic Twinduction and Street Wiener, aka the giant hot dog on wheels. Both cars are available unlocked right out of the box. We’ve also added a new Hot Wheels themed racetrack — the space-themed Outer Limit with upside-down tracks and death defying zero-gravity jumps.
