In Island of Embers, you build a human settlement on a volcanic island constantly struck by fireballs, earthquakes, and ashfalls. You’ll need to plan carefully, adapt quickly, and decide how much risk your city can handle.
You will:
Build and manage a human settlement on an active volcanic island
Survive constant natural disasters such as fireballs, earthquakes, and ashfalls
Face a living, hostile environment that pushes back
Control golems to assist with labor and survival
Unlock new buildings and upgrades through research
Adapt your city layout to an ever-changing landscape
Balance growth with disaster response
Ultimately confront the volcano in a final high-stakes challenge

We've just release the 1.0.12 patch containing some much needed features, fixes and quality of life improvements. Here is the list of changes:

Added SFX to placing and dismantling traps
Fixed an issue where starting a zone could erase a save file
Adjusted the position of the "locked door icon" for big doors
Sometimes the hunters were turning while falling from stunning or death
Added title descriptions in zones menu
Added "NEW!" in front of every unread entry in the knowledge panel
Added the name of the zone in which a paper was found in the knowledge panel
Added map item for the last zone
Remade the map item for the second zone to better resemble the actual map
Added collider to spike trap when it's activated
Fixed a bug where the settings menu was being displayed on top of the main menu
Fixed issue where player was not able to place traps in the 9th zone
Added a text at the beginning of the first zone to introduce the player to the game's universe
Fixed an issue where the credits were not displayed correctly on displays with aspect ratio other than 16:9
The hunters get closer to the origin of a sound

We've just release the 1.0.11 patch containing something fixed for some annoying bugs and balancing throughout the game. Here is the list of changes:

The player will sometimes slide indefinitely when walking into a solid object
The player can be stuck on an observable (like a book or newspaper) until he restarts the game
The player can't place traps in some maps
Prowler balancing
More backpacks throughout the game and in more accessible places
Some objects were not positioned correctly in the second map
Fixed typos in texts
Small UI update for objectives
Small UI update for the ending stats screen
Made death indicator disappear more easily
Made dismantling impossible for spike traps that are triggered
Fixed some lag spikes
Fixed an error in the map item from "Swamp Settlement"
Fixed and error where the game ending achievement was not triggered

The Steam Game Festival is live and we've prepared a big patch for the demo!
The update includes:
Bugs fixed:

Continue button worked without any save
The ability to throw rocks disappeared
The AI wouldn't return to their initial positions after respawn
Papers could be read from far range or through the other side of the wall
Ambiance music couldn't be heard in some parts of the map
The player was spawned inside shed without the zoom in
The roof of North House wouldn't fully disappear when the player was inside
Continue button didn't work after leaving the game and returning to it(on the same version)
The player couldn't pick up item piles after dying and respawning
The player could break the natural healing if he spammed the button for heal right after being hurt
The objective would be stuck after saving and respawning
The player couldn't run after saving and respawning
The hunter wouldn't show an orange outline while investigating a distraction
Sparkles for the ground texture
The player could break the item piles after dying and respawning multiple times
Lag Spikes in some parts of the map
The player could get stuck after hiding and leaving the bed in the outpost
Killing a hunter would result in a weird sound bug
The player could restore his inventory after respawn if he threw a rock
A few colliders for objected were placed badly
Secondary wouldn't disappear once it's done
Tweaks/Polish:

Player can close the wheel with the same button that's opened
Tweaked the SFX's sound volume
Bigger size for the bush hiding spot
Tweaked map level design to make it fairer(hunters, traps, bushes, etc.)
Rotated signs so that the player won't get confused by them
Modified text for some objectives
The objectives pop-up will stay on screen longer
Tweaked the light in houses
Made the beacons easier to notice
Replace the "R" button for saving with "F"
The important events, hunters, items before the first save will be respawned
Added an icon to loading menu
New icons on the map for Crossroad and Beacon
New ground textures
Faster shine for multiple items
Hunters will investigate longer
We hope that this patch will improve the experience of the game.

We're working on The Equinox Hunt, a stealth game that focuses on a cult of crazy lunatics that treats the player like a prey!
Features

True stealth. You're not a hunter, you're the VICTIM.
Multiple enemy factions: Trappers, Prowlers, Marksmen and Cutters, each of them specialized in a unique combat style.
Each faction leader will subject the player to different situations.
Use the environment to ease your way out.
When your character dies, he's gone forever, yet you still have a chance, since the hunt never stops.

We're happy to announce that on 8th June a big update to the demo will come.
(Just in time for Steam Game Festival)
The update will include:

Main Menu
Saves
Better AI - eliminated major bugs and better pathfinding
Narrative Improved
Secondary Quests
Improved Main Quest
The ability to place traps(The player can place a bear trap that should stun anyone)
Variants (Different map with restarts, this can be easily noticed if you look at enemies spawn)
Improved Visuals (VFX, Interface, New Assets, etc.)
Improved Sound Effects(floor system and overall SFX's)
Zoom In for Interior of Houses and in other places
Optimization!
After this update, we will push towards creating more content and doing betas at least 1 per month.
