It's now been over a week since we've launched, and want to say thank you to all our fans and supporters of the game!
We've received a ton of feedback regarding bugs and glitches during the first few days, but are happy to say that we've fixed almost all of the issues that players have reported!
We want to apologize to those who encountered these bugs in the first 2-3 days of launch, the Under experience is now a lot smoother and bug-free.
Here are some of the prominent fixes we've implemented:
- Bigger interaction boxes.
- More hints throughout gameplay in order to avoid trial and error frustration.
- Extra settings (brightness, FOV, Headbob, Grain, HUD, Chromatic Abberation)
- Vent crouching fixed
- Collider issues are now fixed.
- Chase sequence glitching/clipping.
The last week has also been spent implementing more languages for Under, and from today on, Under: Depths of Fear can be played in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German.
We're sure that this will make the experience for some players a bit more pleasant, and allows for a more full understanding of the back-story that is told in the game.

After more than a year of development, we have come from releasing a short demo on itch, while we were still in university, to launching a full sinking ship horror experience for everyone to enjoy!
We have added tons of elements and decks to Under, and can confidently say that Under: Depths of Fear is now an entirely different kind of experience than what the demos and closed beta had to offer.
Under: Depths of Fear now has 7 full size decks, each continuously flooding with merciless ocean water, testing the skills and scares of every player alike.
Over the past year, we've put a substantial amount of work into Alexander's back-story, giving players the chance to learn his context and add more context to the haunting events on the ship.
We hope you guys will enjoy the full experience of Under: Depths of Fear!

We're excited to share all of our developments and kind of paint a picture of where we are at right now.
Since our team just finished university, we were only developing part-time until about three weeks ago. Since then, we've been working around the clock to create all of the content we we're planning, and to make Under as thrilling as it could possibly be!
We've been making some incredible progress, and Under is looking and feeling better than it ever has!
Here are some of the things we've added/been working on:
- Finished all of the crew and third class spaces and game-play.
- Implemented flashbacks in time in order to tell Alexander's narrative as best as possible.
- Re-modelled the goofy looking entities. Utilising more advanced techniques to craft disgusting looking decomposing figures. Won't go in depth with that ...
- Currently working on a much more thrilling sinking system. This task proves to be challenging, but imagine something along the lines of deadly high power waves of water.
- Started crafting some stunning new first class areas.
- Currently working on implementing a supporting character, guiding Alexander through some high-intensity parts of the ship.
Pre-Launch Testing Sign-Up
As we are getting closer and closer to completing Under, we keep adding more content, and will need some testers to get a diverse opinion of what has to be fixed/could be improved.
For this purpose, we will be launching a test-build in ~September, and will be requiring some sign-ups to help us out.

Release Date & Launch Platforms
As of now, we are set to launch on October 25th, with our initial guaranteed launches to be on Steam and Google Play Pass & Google Play Store. As of now, we're also planning on launching on Playstation, Xbox & Nintendo Switch. Though we're not entirely sure yet as to when these launches will take place. Ideally, we want to launch at the same time as the Steam launch, though this is not confirmed yet.

Some exciting stuff coming up! As many of you are aware, the Steam Summer Festival will be launching on the 16th of June, and we're excited to share that Under will be participating with a short demo!
The festival will commence at 10AM on the 16th, and our demo will be launching at the same time. This demo will only contain about 10-15 minutes of gameplay, with the purpose keeping anticipations high.
We'll also be hosting a Q&A on our Discord Server and will be taking place all day starting from the launch of our Summer Demo! We're looking forward to hearing from you guys!

We’ve been making some awesome progress on the development of Under and have some exciting things coming up.
First of all we would like to invite you to sign up for the closed beta of Under! We will be launching a temporary Beta segment of the game within a few days and we would like to grant you the opportunity to try our Beta by signing up for our email list: SIGN UP
We will be sending out a limited number of keys for this beta, this number will be dependent on the demand (most likely around 300-500 keys).
This Beta build features roughly 20+ minutes of gameplay that takes place roughly 40 minutes into the full game. This segment is an accurate representation of the game, unlike the demo that was released in July.
We are currently on track to launch on Steam around the end of Q1 2020, and are very excited about what Under is turning into. Here are some of the things we have been working on and have added:

It's been a while since we released our demo, and in the meanwhile, we've been quite busy with the development of Under. First and most foremost, we'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to play our demo. We appreciate all of the feedback and have to admit that our expectations have been exceeded with the response that we've gotten so far! Here are some of the things we've implemented/completed in the meanwhile:
Over the past few weeks, we've been finalizing the full story for Under, and have been actively tweaking elements based on demo feedback and new inspirations. We've come to the conclusion that the game will take roughly 1h30m-2h to complete, and will be mostly focused on the sinking aspect of the scares, as opposed to an overload of jump-scares. We have decided that the gameplay will include more guidance and interaction with the environment, which was lacking in our demo.
Most importantly, we've started the assembly of the lower decks in the story mode, and have worked on the gameplay. We don't want to share to many specifics, at least not until we have gameplay to show you guys. Here are some of the elements we have added/are currently adding:
- Rising water system
- Breakable doors
- Human NPCs
As we are currently working on the lower decks, we will be finishing these and finalizing the gameplay aspects. We will be releasing some short gameplay footage soon, mostly involving the flooding decks and new environments. We will also be launching our official website very soon, so be on the lookout!
