On this journey around the world, Mini Motorways is pulling into the humid city of Singapore, a lush metropolis known for its melting pot of cultures and sustainable green architecture - chosen via player vote.
From Orchard Road to Pagoda Street, Singapore offers a gorgeous new landscape for you to design your dream city. Navigate the flow of Singapore’s 6.11 million residents as they go about their daily lives, and carefully plan your networks as you connect houses and destinations across the Singapore River and Marina Bay - home of Singapore’s mythical icon, the Merlion! The Merlion is Singapore’s official mascot, with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, signifying “Singapura” (“Lion City”) and the country's origin as a fishing village.
This update to Mini Motorways includes:
A brand new map: Singapore!
The addition of a new language - te reo Māori!
New Achievements, Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges, and City Challenges.
Various minor bug fixes and performance improvements
Plus, don’t forget to try our recently-released option to ‘Continue in Creative Mode’! This option allows you to return to a finished city build after hitting “Game Over” with ultimate creativity unlocked.

Drive around Istanbul, Türkiye on our next stop in our journey around the world!

Istanbul is a bustling metropolis full of historical significance, iconic architecture, and renowned as the world’s only city that bridges two continents (Asia and Europe).
From its eye-catching landscape to its unique skyline, Istanbul offers a brand new location for players to put their city-planning skills to the test. This city comes with its own unique challenges. Transport millions of passengers across Istanbul, accounting for bridges, boats, and a ferry terminal, full of passengers as you navigate the waters of the Bosphorus Strait.
This update also introduces the ability to Continue In Creative Mode! Adapt your map to your liking in this brand new feature, where you can continue your journey in Creative Mode after you have encountered Game Over on a map. This feature has been highly requested by fellow commuters, and we’re super excited to finally bring it to you!
This update to Mini Motorways includes:
A brand new map: Istanbul, Türkiye
The return of boats and ferry terminals! Operating in a similar way to train stations and trains, it’s your job to ensure boats transporting passengers to ferry terminals don’t interrupt the flow of traffic.
New Achievements, Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges, and City Challenges.
This map introduces the ability to “Continue in Creative Mode”! Carry on city planning in Creative Mode after reaching ‘Game Over’ on a map.
Various minor bug fixes and performance improvements.

We’re always excited when we get to invite our players to the table to collaborate. As a part of our busy 2026, we’d love to hear from you which of these cities would serve as a worthy addition to Mini Motorways, both beautiful enough for our luxe art treatment and challenging enough to keep players on their toes!
Choose from one of the following cities:
Auckland, New Zealand: Located in the Southern Hemisphere, this coastal metropolis is built on an active volcanic field, and harbors two distinct major bodies of water - the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
Lima, Peru: Known for its rich history and vibrant food culture, this South American desert city is the second-most populous on the continent, and has multiple rivers flowing through it.
Singapore, Singapore: with its unique geography and dense urban development, Singapore is one of the world’s economic and travel hubs, home to over six million people.
Vienna, Austria: the famous rivers Wien and Danube split the city of Vienna, known for its imperial heritage, opera house, and reputation as the City of Music.
Our choices this time span four separate continents, and all have made it close to the top of our list in the past. We couldn’t make up our minds, so we decided our final lineup won’t be complete without your help.

From the rugged peaks of Lion’s Head and Table Mountain to the southern Atlantic, Cape Town is a city where nature is never anything short of panoramic. Take control of traffic in South Africa’s second-largest city, guiding commuters through tunnels and over bridges to their destinations.
We’re kicking off a big year of Mini Motorways updates with a fun one! As the first of four maps on our 2026 update roadmap, Cape Town will pose an interesting challenge for puzzle-minded players and offer coastal aesthetic opportunities for those who prefer to explore in Creative or Endless Mode.
This update includes:
A brand new map: Cape Town!
New Daily and Weekly Challenges
General bug fixes and polish
Opt-in anonymized analytics collection has been added to the game. These analytics are used by Dinosaur Polo Club to improve Mini Motorways and our future games. Data collection for gameplay analytics is off by default and player consent can be changed at any time through the in-game settings. Ferry terminals! Hong Kong introduces boats to the waterways of the Fragrant Harbour. Operating in a similar way to train stations and trains, it’s your job to ensure these new floating obstacles don’t interrupt your traffic! Ferry terminals are new building types that will require careful planning and attention as you navigate ways across the water for your commuters.

As we were gearing up to celebrate the beauty of Hong Kong upon the release of this update, we were saddened to hear of the tragic high-rise fire in the Tai Po district. As such, we are pairing this update with a donation to the Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal run by the Hong Kong Red Cross. To those who have lost a loved one, been displaced from their homes, or are otherwise impacted by this devastating incident, our hearts go out to you. Kia kaha from New Zealand.

As promised, we’re hot off the tails of the reveal of our beautiful Hong Kong map at Cozy Quest–coming this December!–and now seems like a great time to share everything that’s coming around the bend in the future, too.
Next year, we’ll have four updates for you!
In February, we’ll have a new map and be prepping some backend stuff.
Come June, another new map with some additions to Creative Mode!
A new map awaits in September, plus some Creative Mode quality-of-life tweaks annnnd a big community surprise!
Then, as usual, we’ll have a new map to close out the year in December.
We can't wait to see you again in December for our Hong Kong update! It's a city that's near and dear to some of us who have travelled and spent time with friends there. Beautiful by both day and night, set on a gorgeous and tricky landscape, it's a perfect Mini Motorways city.
Looking back as we near the end of 2025, we're so proud of the work our team has done on big updates like Creative Mode and little things like bugfixes alike. But even moreso, we're so impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of our players. All the screenshots, gifs, YouTube videos, your thoughtful suggestions and questions. We're so lucky to have the players we do.

We’re so excited to finally bring you our Creative Mode, inspired by the one you know and love from Mini Metro. Palette-swap your buildings, rotate those pesky driveways, delete buildings, place them wherever your heart desires, and utilise almost unlimited upgrades in a game mode that offers you an all-new way to explore every map you’ve unlocked!
You’ve asked for this one a lot, and we’ve needed to do some tinkering behind the scenes, but it’s finally ready for your magic touch. We can’t wait to see what you build, be it your own hometown, the precise and symmetrical city of your dreams, or a horrifying mess.
Thank you so much for sticking with us for almost six years of Mini Motorways. Disasterpeace has also stuck around, joining us again for this update with an all-new procedurally generated soundscape unique to maps played in Creative Mode.
Creative Mode gives you the ability to:
Place and edit destinations! Rotate, flip, delete, or adjust colours to your liking.
Place and edit houses! Change colours or delete houses as you see fit.
Explore Creative Mode across ALL 23 maps and experience Mini Motorways like never before.
Creative Mode will be available on every map you have unlocked so far.
This update also features various improvements and bug fixes, including updated audio in our new Cinematic Mode.
We really do want to see your masterpieces, so upload your screenshots to the community hub or tag us on your social platform of choice to share your charming or cursed creations!

Our journey around the world now takes us to a country where our Mini games have never been before: Europe’s green capital, famous for its spire-filled skyline and sustainable design.
This brand-new map is renowned for its colourful architecture, iconic green patina roofs, and green-minded commuters. With Medieval spires adorning the city and plenty of waterways to navigate, Copenhagen is a richly historical destination to hone your city-planning skills.
You can also capture your European holiday like never before with our recently released Cinematic Mode! This feature immerses you in the city you’ve built, panning across the map and following your individual commuters on their journey. Copenhagen is the perfect city for a good bit of fun, so we’ve tucked away a little easter egg on the map - let us know when you’ve found it!
