New content
Brand new game mode called "THE CLUB" for extreme calories burning and huge scores. Choose any song you want and it will be played in a loop with constantly increasing speed. Hit special bonuses with your head for extra score. (There's a new song called "Welcome to The Club" in Volume 2 which is a good fit for this mode)
6 new songs added to Volume 2 (that makes total 51 songs and videos in the game + 8 custom songs currently available for download from our server + any custom songs in ModSaber format you download from 3rd party servers or create in the provided Song Beater Editor)
2 new Steam achievements for "THE CLUB" mode
New features

Multiplayer now supports voice-chat, custom songs and videos. You can also change your avatar at any time
Progress announcement during playing the song. If you move up in the leaderboard while playing, you will know it immediately (announced by voice and displayed as yellow number under your score)
Don't know which song to play next? Quick play button in main menu will select random song for you (song difficulty and source can be changed in settings)
Hand rotation settings. You can rotate your virtual hands to any X/Y/Z angle relative to your real controllers. Also when playing with blades, if you pause the game, you can ajdust angle of the blades using your right thumbstick (touchpad)
Real 360 is now more adjustable – choose between whole 360 or 180 degrees, you can also disable vertical angles and keep only horizontal ones
Custom songs import settings. If you downloaded a song in ModSaber format and want to make it easier to play for fitboxing (you can always play it using selection of freestyle weapons as well – blades, saw, tonfas...), you can set recoloring on (this will force beats on the left to have color for your left hand and vice versa), removing beats overlapping each other or moving all the beats up or down whole row for easier reach
Custom songs downloading from our server (and/or other servers you specify in new_patch.txt file) is now more user friendly and allows also deletion of songs
New optimizations and improvements

Analysis of your gameplay in form of accuracy, power & calories burned graphs
Score boost now does not reset to 0 if you fail or miss, only decreases a little bit (based on selected difficulty). Single mishap won't ruin your great score anymore, you can catch up if you try hard enough
Calculations were reworked – punch or weapon hit detection is now more precise (angle and power of hit, centering on the ball)
Improved timing of several existing songs – even songs with irregular BPM, risers etc. should be now spot on
Player profile in your party now stores more settings including theme (environment). When you switch to another player, his/her theme loads up automatically
Championship mode now displays list of other players competing with you with their realtime scores (take a look at the floor in front of you), so you always know whether are you winning or need to catch up. Top players will receive points according to their placement
Ranking system (previously separate for Volume 1 and 2 songs) has been merged to single rank with level cap at 180
New competition

Several new leaderboards were added – total calories burned, total score for "The Club", total score for "Championship", total score for the other modes. Leaderboard kings now include more game modes as well and weight of difficulties were adjusted (intense and impossibru victories now grants substantially more points than normal, light and gentle)

Custom songs tab now allows simple download of new songs from our server. We will keep adding new songs in the future this way without the need to update the whole game. (And for modders out there, you can take advantage of this system, simply replace URL in patch.txt file with your own)
Improvements of existing themes and gameplay – performance and visual improvements (better water in Dark Island theme, fixing entrance flickering in Egyptian theme etc.)
Plans for near future: 2 new game modes. One for beats coming from all around you (including above and below!), another one taking inspiration from popular arcade game. Stay tuned :)

New setting for seated/roomscale experience. We are experimenting with autocentering vs respecting roomscale boundaries in SteamVR. When you start the game in "seated" mode the game recenters to your current headset position (and you can also recenter anytime in the game by holding B button or touchpad right for 3 seconds). When in "roomscale" mode, there is no recentering and your position is absolute within your guardian system. Please give it a try and let us know which setting works best for you so we could make it the default :)
Audio modding

You can replace sounds of individual weapons and of ingame announcements "miss" and "fail". Go to Settings/Modding, set audio modding ON and exit the game. Then replace WAV audiofiles in ..\\Song Beater_Data\\Modding\\Audio directory with your own and start the game again.
Colors modding

You can now view/specify colors for beat balls and hands/weapons using precise RGB values along with color wheel.
Fixes and optimizations

Various fixes and optimizations. Improved levels for intense and impossibru difficulty for song Close by Mikalyn (ranked vol. 2).

After months of constant improving our early access version with regular updates we bring you the ultimate "Full release update", which will pave the way to full release of the game.

16 new songs and videos (so there are now more than 45 songs included in the game!) – Named "volume 2" pack, starring Canadian songwriter and singer Mikalyn, French musician Dizaro and more.
3 new game environments (themes) – Dark tropical island, Deep space and Ancient Egypt. Existing "Early access" theme was improved as well.
Championship multiplayer mode – Want to compete with any number of players all over the world at the same time? Now you can, Championship mode brings automated roster of songs playing non-stop, you can join anytime and select your preferred difficulty level as well (you can see number of players participating in each difficulty, after finishing the song you see your overall placement). If you'd rather play selected song with a chosen friend, you can use existing Multiplayer mode.
Further customizations – You can now change symbols and colors of beat balls (affecting also colors of your hands/weapons) from default yellow-purple scheme to any colors you like.
Optimizations and bugfixes – Thanks to valuable feedback from our players here on Steam and our Discord server we were able to fix several bugs affecting some achievements. If you still encounter any weird behaviour, let us know at [email protected]

Instant shock This new gameplay setting will test your reflexes and reward you with 10% score bonus. When ON , the balls will be spawning in a much shorter distance in front of you thus giving you less time to react. You can think of it as of some kind of martial art practice. :)

Optimizations (shaders etc.) – as we are currently working on mobile version of the game for GearVR/Oculus Go and potentially Oculus Quest, we apply some of the improvements to PC version as well
Plans!

Multiplayer! We are already working on multiplayer mode where 2 players can stand side by side and play the same song at the same time (each with own set of incoming balls). We hope to release it in our next update on Friday 23rd, stay tuned!
Transition from early access to full release We hope to finetune existing features (weapons, obstacles, multiplayer) in following weeks and transition to full release in September. Existing 30 playable songs are now named "Ranked vol. 1" and we will add another list of songs named "Ranked vol. 2" to full release. :)

Phasers enhanced: – You can now shoot in full auto mode (keep your trigger pressed* and the pulses will be synchronised with song's tempo, you just need to keep aiming) – Each phaser can hold up to 33 rounds and there are 2 ways to recharge them. – If you are overwhelmed by incoming balls use your phaser's blade attachment to destroy them in melee combat instead. Each destroyed ball will recharge your phaser with 10 rounds. – Or bring your phasers together so their blades touch, this way you can fully recharge them in a matter of seconds. – If you are low on ammo (10 rounds or less) you will hear new voice cue "Recharge" – *For players with disabilities or if you just don't feel like holding the trigger all the time you can turn Autoshooting ON in game settings.
Players with disabilities can now turn One hand option ON. Select which hand (left/right) will you use to play, the other hand will be hidden and all spheres will be recolored accordingly.
Obstacles enhanced – horizontal and vertical moving obstacles now change their position in larger steps and stay there when passing by you so they won't surprise you by moving slightly behind your back.
Rotation of spheres should be more natural in respect to the hand required to destroy them (yellow spheres on the left side should be almost straight while blue spheres would be rotated to intercept your right hand and vice versa)

Leader kings table now sorts players based on total points instead of simple victory counts. You get 1 point for each victory in gentle difficulty, 2 for light, 3 for normal, 4 for intense and 5 for impossibru.
Tonfas should be easier to handle if you want to perform complex moves such as rotating the longer end in front of you.
Staff can now be held in any hand. Bring your hands together to move it to your other hand.
Tonfas and staff will give you best score if you cut the balls in half (similar to blades) instead of just destroying them
Blades game uses 30% bigger balls for easier cutting
Score per hit can show percentage (of ideal hit) instead of score number. You can enable it in Settings/Game.
Head collider is now smaller so avoiding obstacles should be easier.
Custom sounds – if you want to experiment with sounds for fit boxing or different weapons, you can enable Modding in Settings and replace ".wav" files in \Song Beater\Song Beater_Data\Modding\Audio folder

Laser obstacles – Several different types of horizontal and vertical obstacles coming at you, some of them even moving from side to side or up and down! :) They now appear automatically in all ranked and custom songs (not videos), you get +10% score bonus for them. You can turn obstacles off in game settings, but you will lose this score bonus so choose wisely. ;)
Life bar and song progress bar – Your life bar (which was previously placed in front of your feet) is now placed on the left side above boost number so you can see it all the time. We have also added song progress bar, you can see it on the right above calories meter. Song name, length and artist name remain displayed at your feet.
Score per hit display – If you have this setting turned on, you can see individual score for each hit. For multiple hits in a quick succession you can now see their sum.
Blades adjustments – Blades are now positioned more naturally from previous "Wolverine" position, which was fun to watch, but hard to master. :) The balls now show cross on them. If you slice the ball horizontally or vertically right at the cross you get extra boost score.
Custom videos support – Custom songs created or converted to Song Beater format (sb.json) now support MP4 video playback. If you want to try it out, edit your song's sb.json file with any text editor and rename "audio" property to "video" and replace ".ogg" filename in there with your ".mp4" file (or you can keep the audio tag and add video as new – in that case your song will appear both on Custom songs and Videos tab so you can choose in the game whether to play it with video background or not). See our sample song "Song Beater – Retro Beats" in "CustomSongs" which now has both audio and video version.

Leader Kings – We have noticed some of you are quite addicted to conquering as many leaderboard tables as possible (which is a good thing, naturally). This new leaderboard table gives glory to such players with most leader positions secured across all songs and variants. :)
Free Style improvements – We have adjusted Saw in previous update (more precise cuts and better behaviour), now we have applied the same treatment to Blades and Tonfas. We have also added effects and more vibrations when you clash your weapons together.
More avatars – You can now choose from two avatars when you activate 3rd person camera modes for party play and streamers (Escape and then F keys; when you press the same F6/F7 key again, colors of clothes will change)
New adjustments

Burnt calories calculations – We have adjusted the calculations to be more precise (according to different fitness watches). You might now need to work a little bit harder to achieve the same results as before, sorry for that! :)
Bugfixes

Pause menu collision – Pause menu (opened with B/Y buttons or touchpad right on Vive) was sometimes colliding with frozen balls, causing them to change trajectory after unfreezing the game. This should be fixed now.

4 new songs – newest single Triumphant by Axl & Arth feat. Dustin Paul, Something for Nothing by Jimmy Burney, Alundra in Videos section; This way by Scomber in Ranked songs; Retro Beats by Mem in Custom songs (if you are interested in creating your own songs, you can open this one in level editor for an inspiration :)).
Ranking system – you are now rewarded for playing ranked songs (in fit boxing mode in normal, intense or impossibru difficulty). Your total score in ranked songs determines your current rank level
Leader glory – when you or any other player place at the top of the leaderboard, all players in the world are notified about this extraordinary achievement (so they can either pause in awe or try to beat your score right away ;))
Free Style adjustments – we are improving behaviour of individual weapons and their effects. Saw now halves the balls with higher precision, we plan to focus on blades next.
New settings and adjustments

We have listened to your feedback and added 2 new settings in the game. Let us know how they work for you or if you experience any issues, thank you! – Settings/Game/Debris reduction – when enabled, this will reduce the amount of graphical effects and emitted particles while playing so that you could focus better on oncoming balls without too much distraction – Settings/Profile/Spawner height – if you feel the balls are flying over your head (literally ;)) and normal recentering of the game (by holding B button) doesn't cut it for you, you can use this setting to move all the balls down (-) or up (+) by any amount of centimeters. This setting should also help if you are having wrong height/floor issues with your headset.
We have adjusted balls grid size for intense and impossibru difficulty levels to make them more enjoyable without the need to jump all over the place. :) Impossibru was shrinked from 120×120 cm to 100×100, intense was shrinked from 90×90 to 80×80. Normal, gentle and light remain the same, 60×60.
We have added more spacing between near balls for Custom songs in ModSaber format running directly from Song Beater (i.e. not edited in our level editor). The balls should now intersect significantly less. :)
There is now higher chance (50->75%) for correct letters in Letter Hunter mode, meaning if you are able to spot the letters in time, you can construct the sentences much quicker.
Bugfixes

Letter Hunter – there was one misbehaving ball on the right side with slightly rotated letters. We hired a new one for this job. Also sometimes when you hit correct letter it was ignored for the sentence, this should now be fixed.
Special Steam achievement "I see dead people" activated in game might not have been saved in your steam profile. When you run this updated version of the game, the achievement should be activated for you automatically.
Player weight (which is used to calculate calories) might not have been saved correctly in your profile. Please go to your Settings/Profile and double check.
Next update is planned for friday 7/19. We have already secured at least 2 new songs (one of them is great Minute by Dizaro) so stay tuned...
