Automobilista 2 V1.6.9.95 is Now Live! The new update packs many substantial gameplay & simulation improvements as well as a free new car - the Panoz Esperante GTR-1.
Users who for whatever reason encounter issues with the new V1.6.9.95 upon release or who might have an imminent league race to run may still remain on the previous V1.6.9.91 by right-clicking on AMS2 in the Steam library -> Properties -> Beta and selecting the previousbuild branch.
AI TRACTION & BRAKE SKILL SCALARS
AMS2 V1.6.9.95 introduces the new AI Traction Skill & AI Brake Skill Scalars - like the existing AI Wet Skill Scalar, these serve to scale AI performance specifically in traction and braking zones; users can adjust these settings in order to trim the AI performance to their preference and / or to better suit their own driving style: late brakers might find worthwhile running a higher AI Brake Skill Scalar combined with a lower AI Traction Skill Scalar, resulting in AI drivers tending to brake later into corners and accelerate slower out of them than they otherwise would at the default settings 1.0 Scalar.
Unlike the AI Wet Scalar, the Traction and Brake Scalars are not very sensitive; you may need bigger adjustments to get noticeable results as traction and braking performance are still primarily defined by the main AI Skill setting; the new options serve to trim the AI´s traction and brake performance, rather than define it.
Please beware that running very high or inversely proportionate scalars relative the main AI Skill setting is generally not recommended and may result in an increased rate of AI incidents.
AI DYNAMIC DRY & WET LINES
This is a list of track layouts featuring manually crafted alternative dry paths and / or wet AI paths; the alternative dry path along with the primary path a range of viable dry lines the AI drivers may take when running without interference from traffic, the wet path defines the ideal line when the track is fully wet; these manually crafted paths are generally more organic than the self-generated ones that are used for all tracks not included in the list below:

Please note that the logic for when, where and how AI drivers should pursue alternative dry lines is still in development, with little of it being enabled for this release for the sake of reliability; most of the value from this feature will arrive with AMS2 V1.7 later on the year.
The logic for how the AI should use the wet lines is in turn already at a more elaborate state, so dry-wet-dry races are currently a better reference of the improved AI dynamics one may expect once these developments are fully integrated.
